Hugo crossed his arms, staring at the cinema entrance like a man who had been waiting for his long-lost lover to return from war.

That was enough ti to eat an entire al, take a nap, or rethink all of his life choices.
And yet, here he was. Still waiting. Still hoping.
He couldn't believe it. Loli actually stood him up!
A part of him wanted to be furious, but another part whispered, "Well, to be fair… you kinda deserve this."
After all, he did ss up with her before.
But still!
He refused to believe she was that type of person.
Loli didn't seem like soone who would ditch a date without a word.
She was too blunt. Too straightforward. If she didn't want to co, she would have just told him to his face.
But now? Now the damn movie was about to start any minute!
Hugo groaned, running a hand through his hair.
Was this really happening? Did he just waste an entire evening standing around like a loser—?
"Hugo?"

Wait. That voice was not Loli's. He turned around, and—

Standing in front of him was Luna. The one and only sexy yoga instructor.
The woman had wavy short hair, glowing skin, and legs so long and toned they looked like they were sculpted by the gods.
She was wearing a tight, cropped hoodie and high-waisted leggings, and Hugo had to admit—
Damn.
She still looked dangerous!
And yet, all of that beauty didn't erase the fact that she had once been an absolute nace in his life.
Luna had been one of the key players in that ssy disaster with Jessica.
She had caused nothing but drama, and even though she looked drop dead gorgeous, Hugo knew better than to fall into that trap again.
He had enough on his plate for now. He didn't want or need anymore dangerous girls, please!
"…Hey, Luna," he greeted calmly, keeping his face neutral. He made sure to not attempt to even flirt with her!
She gave him a small, amused smirk. "Didn't expect to see you here. Are you… with soone?"
Hugo hesitated.
For a brief second, a tiny devil on his shoulder whispered:
"Just say no. If Loli really ditched you, then you might as well leave here with sothing tonight."
It was tempting.
Very, very tempting!
But then, a bigger part of him—the one that had suffered through enough bad decisions already—smacked so sense into his brain.
NO.
He had already learned his lesson when it ca to beautiful won with sharp tongues and hidden agendas.
"…Yeah, I'm with soone," he finally said, ntally slapping himself for even considering lying.
Luna's smirk widened slightly, but there was a flicker of amusent in her eyes.
"Hmm. Well, the movie's about to start," she said, giving him a mocking, pitying glance. "Hope she actually shows up."
Then, with a small wave, she turned and walked away, her long legs moving like she was on a runway.
Hugo stood there, frozen. His pride took a hit. Why did she say it like that?! Like she just knew he was about to get ghosted?!
Was he actually about to get embarrassed in public?!
Damn it!

Hugo began to rethink his choice. Or should he have gone with her? What if he could have even achieved a Cinema quickie?
For a second, he almost regretted his decision. Maybe he should have just called Luna back and forgotten about Loli.
Afterall, she was most probably not coming tonight and it would be a waste to just go ho like that.
But just as he was about to contemplate his life choices—
"Ahhh—!"
A loud, high-pitched squeal snapped him back to reality.
Hugo barely had ti to react before a tiny figure in a short skirt, crop top, and denim jacket ca crashing toward him.
His system automatically activated.

His reflexes kicked in instantly. He caught her—arms locking around her waist just in ti.
Her big, wide eyes stared up at him in shock. Her soft pink lips parted slightly in surprise. Her warm, beautiful eyes t his.
And Hugo's brain short-circuited.
IT WAS LOLI!
SHE ACTUALLY CA!
For a second, neither of them moved. They just stared at each other, frozen in place. Hugo took the mont to fully admire her.
She looked stunning.
Her smooth skin glowed under the soft lights, her skirt was just the right amount of flirty, and her glossy hair frad her face perfectly.
She had even put on light makeup—just enough to make her look even more ethereal than usual.
Hugo had never been so relieved in his life. His crazy thoughts exploded.
'THANK GOD I DIDN'T CALL LUNA BACK!'
Then, as if snapping out of a trance, Loli blinked rapidly, coughed weirdly, and quickly pulled away.
"Uh, s-sorry," she muttered, brushing imaginary dust off her jacket. "I wasn't looking where I was going…"
Hugo grinned.
"You sure? 'Cause that fall looked suspiciously planned."
She shot him a mild glare. "Shut up."
But there was the tiniest hint of a smile. Hugo felt victorious.
Very victorious!
Loli glanced away, mumbling, "I—uh—I'm late because… I was fixing my hair…"
Hugo heard that. And suddenly, his heart lted.
Even though she was still mad at him, she had still put effort into looking good for their date.
She didn't have to. But she did. And now, he was determined to make up for everything.
Hugo's grin widened. Loli rolled her eyes. "What?"
Ignoring her glare, he grabbed her hand. "Co on," he said, dragging her forward. "Before the movie ends."
She gasped, "Hugo—!"
But he didn't stop. Because tonight? He was not going to ss this up.
He would make ands!
