Chapter 842: Chapter 46: Risking Everything for Brotherhood (Part 3)

“He’s feeling guilty as a thief,” Sara asserted, “He surely has ideas about our Dawn Knight.”

Yuliy grabbed the sword hilt with a stern face, but Sara raised a paw to hold it down: “Let’s not rush, watch closely.”

Alandia and Gongsun Ce stood in an open area, the Dawn Knight fashioned a standard knight longsword, demonstrating the correct way to hold it. Gongsun Ce took the longsword, and after a short practice declared, “I can’t grasp the key points, could you teach hands-on?”

Sara clapped her paw: “Go for it!”

Yuliy rushed forward in a few strides, grabbing soone’s wrist with a cold look and said: “Got it now?”

“None of your damn business!” Gongsun Ce shrieked, “Can you go away while I learn swordsmanship?!”

“Every knight is happy to provide you guidance,” Yuliy said calmly, “Male knights especially have a teaching advantage, don’t you agree, Knight Alandia?”

Alandia nodded slowly, looking as if she had uncovered the wrongdoer’s motive: “Makes a lot of sense, Knight Yuliy.”

“No sense at all! Why?! I don’t want a fridge teaching !” Gongsun Ce struggled. Rakael appeared out of nowhere, cheerfully patting his shoulder: “Mr. Gongsun, we’re all happy to help you! Co, let’s start with so basic endurance training in the gym…”

Gongsun Ce wailed: “I don’t want a double-door fridge teaching either! Help!!! Bro, save !!!”

The two knights dragged him to the gym, Mo Yuankai hurriedly finished his match, gave a shout and joined the group: “Let’s go, I want to join the workout too!”

“You can’t do this to !” Gongsun Ce despaired like being kidnapped by bandits, “I’ve made contributions to the Country! I’ve solved cases for the capital! I have to find the Dawn Knight! Ah!!”

The four n, chatting and laughing (?), walked away, while the three female knights exchanged looks and burst into laughter.

Two hours filled with passion and sweat later.

“You ungrateful bunch…”

The superpower user lay face-up on the gym rest room floor, feeling like a rag. Rakael encouraged: “A good physique will elevate your male appeal.”

“I’m a superpower user akin to a mage in a classic RPG, responsible for standing in the back reading spells, why would I need a nice body? It’s you muscle guys who are first-line damage-takers!”

“Strictly speaking, as a Strange phase Mage, my role is more like a mage,” Rakael pointed to Yuliy nearby, “Yuliy of the Desolate Form is more akin to a warrior.”

“You’re in the wrong career, a 2.4-ter mage and a 1.7-ter warrior,” Gongsun Ce habitually quipped, slowly getting up from the floor, “By the way, bro, why are you so quiet, got sothing on your mind?”

Mo Yuankai sat in a corner of the rest room bench, head down in thought. Hearing this, he languidly said: “There’s sothing I’d like your help with…”

“We will surely do our best,” Yuliy said.

Mo Yuankai touched his nose: “I just want to ask if Orianna has any… things she really likes? So hidden interests? I an, like gifts that would make her really happy.”

The other three in the rest room all let out understanding “ah” sounds. Gongsun Ce sprang up like a leaping carp, solemnly saying: “Alright! You’re ready to make a move!”

“Don’t make it sound like I’m planning a kidnapping, okay?!” Mo Yuankai protested, “I just want to take the relationship further!”

Yuliy first established the tone: “As a knight, we should not and will not interfere in a colleague’s private life…”

“But as a friend, I’m happy to share a coworker’s interests and hobbies with you,” Rakael continued, “She’s a simple and kind girl who likes flowers, sweets, plush toys, and all the heart’s delights of a pure girl. She also loves the arts, so you could talk about theater, poetry, and ancient tales with her. Do you have any involvent in those areas?”

Mo Yuankai shook his head with a bitter face: “Hardly read much of the Empire’s classics, let alone the Country’s books.”

Rakael was not willing to give up easily: “You could start by creating a romantic atmosphere first. Try to speak a warm and elegant confession like a Country gentleman?”

Mo Yuankai savored his feelings for a while and then deeply said: “I swear by this bright full moon…”

All three showed quite subtle smiles.

“Is there a problem?!”

Gongsun Ce coughed twice, reciting: “Ah! Do not swear by the moon, for it is forever changing. Every month its orb waxes and wanes; If you swear by it, your love may prove likewise variable.”

Mo Yuankai worriedly tugged at his hair: “What is this?”

“Roo and Juliet, Bro, I know you haven’t read it but Orianna most likely has…”

Mo Yuankai was shocked: “Wow Ah Ce, when did you read such things?”

“I had no choice, okay, last month before a second theater run, I quickly skimd through the Country’s classical theater collection just to rehearse lines with Situ Yi.” Gongsun Ce looked like he was rembering past traumas, “In the end, that bastard sang Peking Opera in our second eting; I swear I wished to shoot him then and there.”

Mo Yuankai rarely felt defeat, similar to when he scored 30 on a language essay: “Do I have to talk about literature? Can I talk about desserts or sothing?”

Gongsun Ce glared: “Talk about what? This ice cream, delicious, delicious. This steak, delicious, delicious. Talking about it makes hungry, let’s go grab a bite first?”

“Hey, sounds good.”

“Bro, you’ve been led astray by that woman Kardesia! You’re supposed to go on a date, not go shopping with a bestie!”
