Chapter 841: Chapter 46: Risking Everything for Brotherhood (Part 2)

“Use Spiritual Image Skill for collective mind control.”

“It’s extrely radical and highly risky. Channeling the thoughts of thousands might lead to the birth of a giant illusion spirit.”

“Ah yes, there’s also Shadow Mist City… well, let’s trust the Country’s intelligence departnt this once.” Gongsun Ce sighed and leaned back in his chair, “Since we can all take a break now, how about watching so animation together?”

“I’m not interested in that.” Alandia shook her head, “I recomnd you read so classic books instead.”

“Don’t be prejudiced, animation is quite entertaining. Those books have classic animations and famous works too…”

He lazily chatted with the knight, engaging in repetitive and futile conversation. They both wished to make each other more like themselves, stubbornly staying in their comfort zones, like intersecting parallel lines gradually diverging, searching for the next point of convergence on their journey.

Gongsun Ce secretly observed the knight beside him, his gaze barely touching her beautiful curves before quickly looking away. He felt embarrassed and conspicuous himself, yet he couldn’t help recalling the rooftop embrace from the other day, conjuring up those feelings… Those mories stirred him every ti, yet internally he rebuked his base thoughts.

Like a monkey in heat, he mused. People shouldn’t be so despicable, right? Thinking of making advances just because he had helped soone a little, that would be like those vile villains in the animations.

Even if you want to pursue soone, this isn’t the way to do it! Typically, the first step in dating is… is…

“Hey, Alandia.” Gongsun Ce scratched his head, “I an, um, you see, what I’m trying to say is…”

“You sound like Knight Gafri preparing to report next quarter’s budget.” Alandia said.

“Ahem!” Gongsun Ce cleared his throat and quickly said, “What I’m saying is, since we both happen to be free this afternoon and have no important tasks, would you like to go on a date with ?”

He imdiately regretted his words upon saying them. He nervously looked at the knight beside him, praying this impulsive invitation wouldn’t ruin their relationship.

Alandia closed her book: “Ce, having ti does not logically lead to ‘dating’ as a conclusion.”

“Don’t correct my grammar at a ti like this!” Gongsun Ce said frantically, “Then, can you just go on a date with ?”

The silver-haired woman smiled at him: “No, thank you.”

Gongsun Ce slumped over the table like a pile of mud, his right hand dangling weakly: “Alright, I get it, I’ve given up. Then can you teach …”

“No.” Alandia rejected him before he finished speaking, “Superpower users cannot Practice Impermanence Skill.”

Muddy Gongsun Ce rolled his eyeballs and asked again: “Then, you could teach so swordsmanship, right?”

Alandia sized him up from top to bottom: “Mr. Gongsun, you don’t have…”

“I just want to try, can’t I? Maybe I have talent.” Gongsun Ce turned his head aside, “If you don’t want to teach, then forget it, it doesn’t matter.”

He hid his expression and secretly clenched his fists.

Indeed, that was his true intention.

Bringing up a date right away would surely lead to rejection. However, the key to a date is spending ti together, which ans successfully creating a date achieves the goal, even if it’s roundabout—it’s a tactical maneuver!

Practicing swordsmanship, what an openly legitimate opportunity! Under the guise of improving his skill, he could request guidance on swordsmanship, being taught hand-in-hand, adjusting stances, sweating together in the enclosed training ground, and then sitting side-by-side having heart-to-heart talks followed by an evening al together, walking together down the street afterward… balancing intimate physical contact and an environnt for the two alone, is there a better idea than this? Truly a genius thought!

Gongsun Ce turned back triumphantly, only to find Alandia looking at him like she’s examining a murder weapon at a cri scene; he felt uneasy: “What’s with that look?!”

“I suspect you lack genuine interest in combat techniques, hence I am contemplating your true intentions.”

Gongsun Ce angrily said, “Fine, forget it if you don’t want to teach, alright, no need to make excuses!”

“I can attempt to teach, but I have no expectations for the outco.”

Twenty minutes later, at the Knight Order headquarters, practice field.

Orianna and Mo Yuankai were sparring in the area. The Seventh Knight had been using his spare ti recently to hone his combat awareness to further control the Holy Sword. Knight Yuliy, who had just finished a patrol, was observing the situation, while Sara was sitting by his feet, with a small sausage in her mouth.

“She has made significant progress recently.” Yuliy said, “More determined and stronger.”

The golden retriever Sara munching on the sausage: “Love makes a girl stronger~”

Yuliy sternly refuted: “No, romance or other events are rely triggers; the fundantal changes lie in the accumulation of training over ti. If Knight Orianna were lax in her practice, even if she faced a major crisis…”

“Stop with the lectures, will you?” Sara tapped on his shoe with her paw, “It’s because you’re always like this that you seem ten years older than you are.”

Yuliy coughed awkwardly: “You should also train your main form more, don’t beco lazy.”

The golden retriever started rolling around on the ground: “I train every day.”

“Knight Sara!”

“Don’t be so uptight~” Sara tapped his calf with her tail, “Look over there, the interesting stuff has arrived.”

Yuliy looked towards the entrance, seeing Knight Alandia leading her new follower. The black-clothed Daoist Master was walking vigorously behind the knight, head held high, chest puffed out, striding along energetically. To the unaware, one might think he was Dawn Knight’s newly hired bodyguard.
