Chapter 699: Chapter 693: Operating System
“No, they haven’t responded to us for quite a while,” the vice-captain spoke imdiately.
“I understand. Organize the docunts; I need to report it.” Regardless of how one looks at it, Finn Lewis’ appearance is of great significance because he has an indescribable relationship with Fla Nation’s current developnt.
Therefore, the country must ensure Finn’s safety. Even if the Wood Family tries to do sothing to Finn, the nation wouldn’t allow them to succeed. However, Jack Lewis had an intuition that Finn wasn’t recklessly dealing with Woodson Wood just because he knew the country would protect him.
Jack had the video footage from the scene. From that footage, Finn’s attitude seed like casually crushing an ant, as if he didn’t care at all.
Hence, after so discussion and Finn revealing the true situation about the cosmos to Jack, Woodson Wood was naturally in a miserable state…
Upon reaching the headquarters of his company, Finn imdiately convened a eting of the company’s technology departnt, especially the mobile division under Virtual World. The creation of Virtual World’s own mobile phone was halted not because the technology was out of reach, but because Finn told them to stop. However, related research did not stop. The halt was initially mandated because Finn wasn’t sure about the direction the developnt of the next generation of phones should take.
Finn is now here for that. This eting is the first comprehensive eting of the Virtual World’s technology departnt. The mont Finn stepped into the conference room, the chatter ca to a silence. Many people here had never seen Finn before, and this was their first ti.
But everyone looked at Finn with fervor. For them, Finn is the legend of this company.
“Alright, everyone calm down. This is the first eting of our technology departnt, and I believe everyone knows who I am, right? If not, I guess you must’ve just returned from the past,” Finn said with a laugh.
When Finn finished speaking, the audience responded with laughter. They, of course, knew who the man in front of them was; Finn is a legend right now.
“Now, we’re announcing so key decisions. First, Virtual World Corporation will completely separate. First, we’ll establish a new company called ‘Second World Operating System Corporation’ to create the next generation of smart operating systems including mobile phones, personal computers, on-board systems, aircraft, etc.,” Finn announced the first decision.
After the announcent, everyone was jotting down notes quietly. Even hearing Finn’s declaration about entering the personal computer operating system’s market didn’t cause any commotion. Although it ant a challenge to established authorities worldwide, nobody had any objections.
Apparently, these people had absolute confidence in their abilities. In fact, everyone who worked here knew that none of the systems used in this building are hard systems, yet they could directly run any external software without any issues.
This ant that their system was already mature.
“Secondly, we will officially launch our companions, mobile phone, and personal computer. The company will be renad to ‘Future Hardware Corporation’ and will launch the new generation of smartphones in the shortest ti possible.”
“The third company will be nad ‘Virtual World Gaming Corporation’.” Finn added.
At Finn’s words, everyone in the audience wore an astonished expression. A gaming company? Why a gaming company? Is Virtual World Corporation planning to make gas? Seeing their surprised faces, Finn chuckled mischievously. Since the mainstream society began getting dominated by the ’80s and ’90s generation, gaming wasn’t a far-fetched concept.
Most importantly, gas will drive the expansion of things similar to the existence of the Star Network. The current Internet of the earth is severely outdated; at least it can’t keep up with future developnt.
“The last company will be called ‘Virtual World Communication Corporation’.” Finn finally announced, “I need to emphasize that Virtual World Communication Corporation will differ from our current mobile, network, and other communication companies. It’ll adopt a new form of communication, similar to wifi but more advanced; primarily, it’ll cover anywhere in the world. Of course, only our products will be capable of using this.”
With Finn’s declaration, the room fell indeed into commotion. Running a communication company isn’t an easy task; it requires vast computing power, databases, and traffic. But considering the current technology, these shouldn’t be an issue.
“Next, I am going to discuss products that our company will be unveiling soon. First is our first-generation system nad after Eve Morrison,” Finn said straightforwardly. After he finished, he turned to the entire room and said, “Eve, co out and et everyone.”
As Finn spoke, the lights in the eting room dimd, and the screen behind Finn lit up. Then a perfect woman erged from the screen using 3D holographic technology. The figure was incredibly realistic.
However, this woman was designed after the ancient Eve — a human torso, a serpent’s tail, with leaves covering her chest area.
“Hello, everyone, nice to et you. I am Eve.” After stepping out, Eve bowed slightly to everyone and said with a smile.
All the employees were stunned. Although they knew that Virtual World’s system was intelligent, they had never seen a system with such high intelligence and detailed expressions.
“Eve is the operating system we want to launch. In theory, she can be installed on any computer that already has an operating system, fully optimizing the entire system, and while assuring no errors in your original system, she can achieve a 99% simulation rate. aning if you talk to her, you won’t be able to tell whether she’s a real person or not. Of course, she is not the so-called artificial intelligence from legendary tales. But she can achieve such a high simulation level because of her vast simulation database,” Finn stated straightforwardly.
