Chapter 616: Chapter 610: Buying Spree

“Can we bring our weapons in?” Finn Lewis pointed to the guns that Dunn Monty and Thomas Calvin openly carried and asked.

“Of course.” Monty promptly nodded.

“Alright, then give a tour of this place. Since we’re here, we might be frequenting this place in the future. I want to get a sense of it.” Lewis said with budding enthusiasm.

Soon, they found themselves in queue at an entrance. Sitting next to the entrance was a man who looked to be in his forties or fifties with a fierce look on his face. He lifted his head to look at Finn, then flatly said, “Entrance fee.”

“How much?”

“100.”

“Wait a…” Just as Monty was about to say sothing, Lewis nodded and imdiately pulled out a 100 star credit note from his pocket and slapped it on the table.

With a smack, Monty couldn’t help but slap himself on the forehead. How could he have forgotten such a thing? He hadn’t foreseen this situation happening as soon as they entered the harbor.

With Lewis’s 100-star credit note, the fierce-looking man was instantly stunned. There were quite a few people around the harbor, and all were astonished by the 100-star credit note that Finn had slapped onto the table. Everyone’s eyes were transfixed on the star credit note, and the previously noisy entrance point fell eerily silent.

Seeing this, Finn knew he had made another mistake. With a smack, this ti it was Dunn who violently slamd his rifle on the table, making a thunderous noise that instantly snapped everyone back to reality. With a brutal glare, he snatched the 100 credit note off the table, crumpled it, and threw it in the face of the burly man, roughly saying, “What are you waiting for, proof.”

“Oh, yes, yes, yes.” The burly man shrank back at the sight of Dunn’s gun on the table. He hastily pocketed the credit note, stooped and pulled out three black tokens made of an unknown material from his pocket, nervously saying, “Gentlen, your tokens.”

Dunn quickly grabbed the three tokens, guiding Lewis towards the interior of the harbor while Thomas Calvin promptly followed on Finn’s other side.

“Gentlen, if you need to purchase any backup weapons, there’s a weapon store selling official rchandise right ahead of you. It’s all authentic.” The burly man’s voice echoed from behind.

The trio paused for a mont. Monty then decisively dragged Finn’s hand toward one of the adjacent stores. Once they stepped inside, Finn understood this must be the weapon store that the burly man had ntioned. Although Finn didn’t recognize these weapons, they carried the basic structure of firearms.

“Welco to our store. What can I get you?” A shop assistant imdiately welcod them with a big smile, “We have everything you could need. Any weapon you’re looking for can be found here.”

Monty and Calvin exchanged looks, then Monty bluntly ordered, “Two 8hg-3 Magnetic Rifles, a 67bd Magnetic Life Detector, a Model 93 Particle Cluster Rifle…” A string of nas rolled off Monty’s tongue. With each na, the look of surprise on the clerk’s face deepened.

After Monty finished speaking, the clerk awkwardly responded, “I’m sorry, we don’t have a few of the weapons you requested. Those are secret standard-issue weapons of the Surveillance Bureau. Even if you did get them, you wouldn’t be able to use them without their activation.”

“Didn’t you say you had everything here?” Monty interrupted.

“Well, it’s rare to et such knowledgeable custors as you. Even though we don’t carry the exact items you’re looking for, we do have plenty of similar substitute weapons with comparable performance. Would you like to consider them?”

“Alright, bring out the weapons you do have for us to see.” Monty quickly gave instruction. As for Finn, he couldn’t care less, and was curiously looking around the store. The store indeed had a large variety of weapons. Each weapon had only one piece on display — probably the rest were in stock.

The weapons ranged from miniature size to so that were considerably larger than a person. Towards the back of the store, Finn even saw a ch. It was probably a ch suit, but unlike the Red Storm, it stood around ten ters tall and two fixed cannons were attached on each side. It didn’t have the humanoid shape of the Red Storm nor did it have robotic arms, but behind it were several wing-like appendages. Their use was uncertain.

The items here had two sets of prices — one in a currency called “Death Star coin” and the other in “star credit.” The estimated exchange rate between the two currencies was around 1:200, aning one star credit could be converted to approximately 200 Death Star coins. The weapons seed quite affordable to Finn. He also saw the weapons Monty and the others had requested. Their costs ranged between 15 and 100 star credits.

The most expensive weapon cost only 100 star credits. As for the ch suit Finn noticed earlier, the price was just slightly over a thousand star credits. Converted into Death Star currency, it amounted to only 200,000. But if purchased with Death Star coins, its price shot up to 350,000. Nevertheless, it was still a bargain. If they could get it to Earth, nations would likely be willing to pay billions for it.

Finn wasn’t particularly interested in the large firearms that Monty and the others were procuring as he didn’t see any attraction in them. Instead, he was intrigued by so small items to the side.

“What is this?” Finn pointed at a dark purple, ball-shaped object, about the size of a thumb, in front of him and asked.

“Oh, honored custor, that’s a small but highly potent explosive. Despite its small size, its impact is quite massive. It contains two extracts from a special planet. Once these two extracts co into contact with each other, they will react violently within seconds, releasing trendous energy. It’s your top choice if you want sothing for personal defense or to breach buildings.” The shop assistant looked at the item Finn was pointing at, then replied with a smile.

“How does this thing work?” Finn asked curiously. The sphere was small, one could easily carry around a dozen of these for self-defense.

“Just crush it, and it will activate. It can be set to recognize your fingerprint. Once the outer layer detects your fingerprint, only your strength can break it. No matter how hard anyone else tries, they won’t be able to break it. Of course, there’s an upper limit to the amount of force it can withstand. If you tried to break it using chanical force, it would also explode.” The shop assistant shrugged and said.
