Su Chengyu was not exactly suspicious of Hu Xiao at this mont; rather, it seed more like a question.
After all, when he had released the tiger back into the mountain, Su Cheng had even prepared himself for the possibility of allying with the Demon Clan here, only to find the calculations turned on his head.
Interrogating Hu Xiao certainly wouldn’t be aningful; without any reason or evidence, Hu Xiao would absolutely not reveal the slightest hint until he saw or gained what he wanted — after all, this was already an opportunity he was willing to risk his life for.
But what connection could there be between the opportunity sought by Hu Xiao and himself?
Without any clues, Su Chengyu could never figure this part out.
However, that look Hu Xiao gave before leaving made it hard for Su Chengyu to believe he wasn’t plotting sothing against him.
He was all too familiar with that look: Zhao Shijue, Qian Jinming, and even the ancestor of the Bei Tang Family.
Perhaps they couldn’t be considered his enemies, but they were all betting on him, whereas Hu Xiao...
"My lord?"
Seeing Su Chengyu deep in thought, Chang Li couldn’t help but call out to him.
Su Chengyu turned his head and smiled, saying, "It’s nothing, I’m just curious about what Hu Xiao plans to do next."
Clearly still worried, Chang Li asked, "That guy wouldn’t really team up with the Demon Emperor to go against you, would he?"
"If he’s smart, he wouldn’t. Even if he wants freedom, his best choice at this ti is definitely to escape as far as he can. Although I initially didn’t, now I’ve openly left a fallback on him; should he make any move, I would naturally sense it."
"That Magic Artifact used for communication?"
The Little Fox, clever as ever, instantly guessed what Su Chengyu’s fallback was.
"Yes, since that thing is what he used to notify , it’s also my thod to track his location. As long as he carries that thing, I can track his whereabouts, and if he doesn’t..."
Su Chengyu’s words stopped here and didn’t delve further.
After all, if Hu Xiao even discarded the item Su Chengyu had given him, it would already be considered a betrayal.
"As expected of my lord, such detailed considerations."
Chang Li exclaid, acknowledging her first ti seeing such a smart human.
Although Chang Li already had so understanding of Su Chengyu’s strength, she was still sowhat incredulous, being from the Demon Clan herself.
"This is nothing; in my original place of living, those intrigues and struggles are truly more terrifying."
"Were they all from the Human Clan?"
Chang Li asked curiously.
Su Chengyu replied, "Naturally, they are all from the Human Clan."
Upon hearing this, Chang Li fell silent, pondering sothing.
anwhile, Su Chengyu never thought that it was this small detail, which he had overlooked, that almost cost him his life in a foreign place.
"Chang Li, I need to rest quietly for a while, so the matters of the tribe are temporarily entrusted to you."
The Little Fox nodded, assuring him she would watch over the entrance for him.
Imdiately, Su Chengyu entered the Realm of Selflessness, refocusing on his physical condition.
He indeed had a fallback for Hu Xiao, and even if Hu Xiao acted against him now, he had a way to deal with him.
But the injuries within his body were not falsified; the recent disturbance of the Power of the Heavenly Dao was not much better than before. It could be said that Su Chengyu’s attempt to resolve it through alternate ans had no effect whatsoever.
Of course, it wasn’t entirely without good news; at the very least, Su Chengyu now understood why the Powers of the Heavenly Dao within him were repelling each other, and the next step would be to resolve this issue.
Despite knowing the simplest solution, after careful consideration, Su Chengyu decided to avoid giving it up if he could.
Not that he was unwilling to part with it, for Seeking Dao was solely for the purpose of reaching the pinnacle.
Even those Supre Immortal Emperors, possessing an entire Dao, only walked the furthest on one particular path.
Su Chengyu understood this very principle; he just simply believed there was no reason the Powers of the Heavenly Dao could not coexist within a singular form.
The Heavenly Dao consists of seven, forming the rules of the world.
If a Cave Heaven wishes to be upgraded as a mber of the Myriad Realms, the fundantal requirent of its Power of the Heavenly Dao is that none can be absent.
Since the heavens and the earth can achieve this, why can’t a cultivator’s body share this Power of the Heavenly Dao all together?
Su Chengyu knew no one had accomplished such a feat, but the lack of precedence did not denote impossibility.
Unfortunately, shortly after Entering Void, Su Chengyu ended up the way he was now.
If he had a chance, he too wished to transcend beyond the world, observing how a small world Cave Heaven reconciled and rged multiple Powers of the Heavenly Dao within it.
Without any reference, Su Chengyu could only use his own body as the experintal field.
After much contemplation, he first opted for his most harmonious Road of Destiny and the least aggressive Road of Creation.
Trying to bring these two Powers of the Heavenly Dao to coexist harmoniously first.
However, even the Road of Destiny, which Su Chengyu used most deftly, fled wildly when perceiving his intent, refusing to accept his arrangent as if out of defiance.
The usually least conflicting Road of Creation reacted as though stimulated, launching a frantic attack against the Road of Destiny.
The two powers of the Dao, within Su Chengyu’s body, seed like two sulking children.
One was running wildly, the other chased after it madly, forcing Su Chengyu to hastily terminate this attempt.
Upon recovering from his ditation, Su Chengyu’s face was sowhat pale, clearly indicating the conflict between the two forces inside him had indeed affected him.
But as long as neither Power of the Heavenly Dao was directly manifested, the backlash wasn’t as severe as before.
Still, with no progress, the cultivation inevitably made Su Chengyu a little restless.
Glancing up at the cave’s entrance, it was deep in the night, prompting Su Chengyu to plan a visit to the mineral vein site to check on the changes in the Divine Beast Immortal Core.
"My lord, you’re awake?"
Chang Li approached at once with concern upon seeing him outside the cave.
"Yes, nothing happened during this ti, I hope?"
Chang Li shook her head, "The tribal elder did co by once, but it seed nothing major. I told him to relay his ssage to and head back first. Would you like to hear it?"
Su Chengyu nodded, having anticipated the elder’s visit before his cultivation; however, with the tribe’s affairs more or less settled for now, he didn’t want to exhaust himself over them.
"Tell while we walk; I happened to want to have a look over at the mineral vein."
