Chapter 229: Chapter 131: The Path of Revenge
Yan Fei suddenly passed out, to the astonishnt of the Company Security maintaining order nearby. They imdiately circled around him, isolating him from the Journalists, ensuring air flow, guaranteeing Yan Fei could breathe easily, and then they lifted Yan Fei into a nearby car. Lu Pingping, who was always calm and collected, seed sowhat panicked. She followed into the car, tending to the unconscious Yan Fei, as the car headed towards the Hospital in the Jinshan Developnt Zone.
Watching the departing car, the Journalists on site fell silent. A Chinese person had been brutally murdered by KB mbers, and the victim was a lovely, youthful girl, weighing heavily on their hearts. Unlike before, they felt no drive to scoot this exclusive news, nor did they want to spread the footage of Yan Fei spitting blood and falling to the ground. At that mont, everyone was Chinese, feeling cold and deeply pained….
Inside the car, a distressed Lu Pingping sent the Company Security to the driver’s cabin, then closed the small door connecting it to the rest of the car, keeping the view of Yan Fei’s unconscious form from others.
Being beside Yan Fei, Lu Pingping felt frantic. As a woman, no matter how strong she appeared, she subconsciously sought support in the face of such a shocking and heart-wrenching event. Though she never spoke of it, she had always regarded Yan Fei as her pillar of strength; as long as Yan Fei was by her side and could still smile, she felt confident in facing any difficulty. But now, facing an unprecedented problem, with Yan Fei unconscious, she felt completely helpless. Her concern for Yan Fei’s well-being clashed with the need to face the cruel threats of the KB mbers, leaving her feeling powerless.
Just then, as Lu Pingping was worrying, Yan Fei, lying in her arms, stirred and suddenly opened his eyes, slowly sitting up.
Startled, Lu Pingping said, “Fei, don’t get up! You should lie down, you just spit blood.”
...
Yan Fei wiped the blood from his lips and said, “Pingping, don’t worry about , I was pretending to spit blood just now, my body is perfectly fine, not a single issue.”
Yan Fei’s strength had reached the congenital realm and his control over his body had beco incredibly fine-tuned. Acts that seed utterly impossible for ordinary people were nothing to him. Though he was angry and heartbroken, he wasn’t at the point of spitting blood and fainting. His pretended collapse in front of the Journalists was ant to feign illness to free himself and then disappear from their sight. During this ti, together with his Drone Avatar, he ant to head to the Middle East to eradicate the Assassin Sect once and for all.
Yan Fei, as resolute as ever but no longer as naive, managed to develop this revenge plot amidst shock and anger. It goes without saying that after enduring so much, he had grown incredibly mature.
If Yan Fei had previously hesitated to obliterate the Assassin Sect or rely its leadership, the Liu Tingting incident had steeled his resolve to exterminate this extremist KB Organisation completely. Liu Tingting, who had worked hard in the Company and contributed much, also offering due respect to Yan Fei, had a bright future ahead of her. Yet unexpectedly, she was captured by KB mbers of the Assassin Sect, subjected to tortures, and ultimately t with a brutal beheading. Yan Fei, witnessing Liu Tingting’s defiant expression in death, swore then and there that the Assassin Sect must be thoroughly, completely, and rcilessly annihilated.
Hence, Yan Fei manipulated his organs to pale his complexion, then with great effort, forced a mouthful of fresh blood up his throat and spat it out, pretending to be unconscious. With everyone’s testimony and his own “blood-spitting,” he had a reason to recuperate at ho. And while on the pretext of recuperating, he would be absent from public view, cleverly concealing his upcoming actions in the Middle East from suspicion.
Thus, when only Lu Pingping was left, Yan Fei imdiately opened his eyes and woke up. He first soothed Lu Pingping’s emotions, then shared his plan with her. Of course, Yan Fei didn’t ntion he would personally execute the wild plan of destroying the Assassin Sect; he rely said he needed to feign illness to go Overseas, to contact so allied forces, then together face the Assassin Sect, to avenge Liu Tingting and the Company colleagues killed by them in Europe.
After hearing Yan Fei’s plan, Lu Pingping beca even more worried. Having seen the cruelty of Liu Tingting’s throat being slit, she beca increasingly concerned for Yan Fei’s safety. According to her thoughts, they should just focus on developing the Dostic Market with Dream Technology from then on. The International Market was too dangerous; anyway, with the Dostic Market alone, Dream Technology could still grow into a super Company, capable of great influence.
But under Yan Fei’s insistence, Lu Pingping had to concede. Though concerned for Yan Fei’s safety, she knew that n had their principles in handling affairs, and so things had to be done despite the risks. Unable to change Yan Fei’s mind, she could only direct the car to turn, no longer heading for the Hospital, but back to Yan Fei’s villa.
No sooner had the car entered Yan Fei’s newly purchased villa in the Jinshan Developnt Zone than a rumble of engines echoed from outside, with several massive military vehicles approaching. The vehicles screeched to a halt outside Yan Fei’s villa and a line of resolute-faced soldiers jumped down. There were more than a hundred of them, Fully Ard, even carrying a significant amount of heavy weapons. They quickly assembled, then dispatched tasks, and began setting up security around the villa, erecting barbed wire to prevent any suspicious individuals from approaching.
