Even though the spaceship’s flight speed reached a high speed of 100 kiloters/second, after flying for a long ti, Yan Fei realized that the scenery outside the window hadn’t changed at all, nor had the distances to the star bodies. If it weren’t for the constant tugging force pulling at his body, he would doubt that the spaceship was moving at all.
Observing the starry sky in the universe, Yan Fei found that it didn’t seem as impressive as when he viewed it from Earth. The stars weren’t twinkling; they appeared monotonous and lonely. Initially, Yan Fei was still interested in watching the cosmic starry sky, but when the scene remained unchanged for a long ti, he grew tired of it. In the end, apart from necessary sleep and als, he spent most of his ti staring blankly while sitting in a chair.
Under the function of the powerful relay communication satellite later on, Yan Fei in the spaceship could still talk to Dream Island on Earth and receive various intelligence from Earth. In the silent and isolated environnt, checking and analyzing intelligence from Earth beca the only way for Yan Fei to dispel loneliness and boredom.
On Earth, after discovering that the spaceship launched from Dream Island was rapidly leaving Earth, Western nations led by the United States of Arica sent a letter to Dream Island in the na of the International Space Agency, stating that for the benefit of all humanity exploring the cosmic starry sky, they hoped Dream Island could explain the purpose of the spaceship they had just launched.
This letter was sent to Lu Pingping, but Lu Pingping imdiately denied it, not admitting to launching any spaceship at all. The more Lu Pingping denied, the more suspicious the Western nations, led by the United States of Arica, beca. Thus, the International Space Agency sent another letter stating that they wanted to verify on Dream Island. Because they had obtained much intelligence suggesting that there were great dangers in the cosmic starry sky, if Dream Island wasn’t aware of this intelligence, their launched spaceship might face the worst end of destruction and death.
Although Lu Pingping worried about Yan Fei’s safety, she believed in Yan Fei’s words more, so she sneered at the words of the International Space Agency and refused to let their people co to Dream Island.
The true purpose of the Western nations, led by the United States of Arica, was not to find out what the spaceship was about, but to confirm who was on it. Because they discovered intelligence indicating that after Dream Island’s spaceship left Earth, Yan Fei went into a hidden state again, no longer appearing in public on Dream Island. And since Lu Pingping repeatedly denied the matter and provided no useful intelligence, these nations suspected that Yan Fei was probably on that spaceship.
However, even if Yan Fei was no longer on Earth, these countries dared not make a move against Dream Island. Previous intelligence failures had already cost them heavily, and they wouldn’t make the sa mistake again. Their real interest was in Future Technology and the Ape Tribe’s base. The Western nations firmly believed that Dream Island’s rise was due to inheriting cosmic human civilization. They believed that to quickly catch up with Dream Island’s technological level, they must acquire the Ape Tribe technology. Only by obtaining the Ape Tribe technology could they compete with Dream Island.
If Yan Fei was still on Earth, these countries wouldn’t dare take action against Future Technology and the Ape Tribe. Even if they defeated the Ape Tribe, they would suffer heavy losses and wouldn’t obtain the largest piece of the pie because Dream Island and Yan Fei would certainly take the largest piece. But if Yan Fei had left Earth, then these countries saw an opportunity. As long as they could defeat the Ape Tribe and acquire everything from the Ape Tribe, they could naturally catch up with Dream Island’s progress and surpass it.
These Western nations calculated ticulously. From the data sent by Yan Fei, they discovered that the entire Ape Tribe currently only had one agent — Ancestral Land. Other apes brought back by Ancestral Land couldn’t awaken, nor could they develop intelligence. So even if the Ape Tribe’s technology and martial force were formidable, they couldn’t be a match for the allied forces of several of the Earth’s most powerful Western countries.
If these countries launched a fierce attack and were willing to accept so casualties, they could wipe out the last of the Ape Tribe base’s ard forces in the shortest ti and seize everything in the Ape Tribe base. Since the war would occur on the remote African continent, they could launch their attack without restraint. They possessed powerful nuclear weapons and even the true ultimate weapon — the hydrogen bomb. If they unleashed these ultimate weapons, the Ape Tribe base would certainly collapse and beco their spoils of war.
Since the rise of Dream Island, Western nations have begun to rapidly decline, and now their economy is on the verge of collapse. If they can gain from the Ape Tribe base, they will naturally overco this imdiate crisis. Without the benefits from the Ape Tribe base, they truly would fall into irreversible decline.
Western nations have placed all their hopes on defeating the Ape Tribe base, but they fear Yan Fei might still be on Earth. If after finally taking down the Ape Tribe base, Yan Fei suddenly erges to claim the prize, they would suffer a huge loss. So to test whether Yan Fei is on Earth or not, several Western countries sent intelligence agents to Dream Island again, wanting to visit Yan Fei, claiming they have the latest intelligence on the Ape Tribe to share with him and devise a plan to deal with the Ape Tribe base.
Lu Pingping still blocked them, not allowing them to et Yan Fei, simply saying that Dream Island already had a plan to deal with the Ape Tribe base and was unwilling to exchange intelligence with those countries. She also said that if those countries wanted to deal with the Ape Tribe base on their own, they could take their own thods, and Dream Island would not intervene.
Through this contact with Lu Pingping, the intelligence departnts of Western nations led by the United States of Arica finally concluded that Yan Fei was no longer on Earth. But they still dared not move against Dream Island; instead, they saw this rare and advantageous opportunity to take a desperate gamble to eliminate the Ape Tribe base. Because Lu Pingping said Dream Island already had a way to deal with the Ape Tribe base, if they didn’t act, once Dream Island did, they would have no opportunity at all.
Just as these Western countries were conducting secret mobilization in their own countries and were still in the preparatory stage for war, the old President of the United States suddenly, on the pretext of striking at terrorist elents, dispatched elite troops to seize the Cayman Islands, long known as a tax haven. With a total population of only 65,000 people and an area of less than 270 square kiloters, the Cayman Islands, being small and weak, had no power to resist and were quickly occupied by US Forces.
In just two hours, US Forces occupied the entire Cayman Islands and overthrew the existing governnt of the Cayman Islands. Then, three hours later, the US Forces supported a new governnt departnt of the Cayman Islands.
The first act of this new governnt institution upon taking office was to announce a tax audit on enterprises that had set up offshore companies in the Cayman Islands, aiming to hunt down tax evasions of these offshore enterprises.
A large number of enterprises around the world have set up offshore companies in the Cayman Islands primarily for tax avoidance purposes. In this process, each enterprise engages in various thods of tax evasion, and the previous governnt of the Cayman Islands turned a blind eye to this, as the service fees from these offshore companies were already enough for Cayman Islands residents to live affluent lives. No matter how much money they had, they couldn’t keep it.
This model of lawful tax avoidance had been ongoing for decades, always peaceful. But no one expected the Aricans to pull such a move, overthrowing the legitimate governnt of Cayman Islands, installing a puppet governnt, and the first thing being to audit these offshore companies’ accounts. For a while, all offshore companies registered in the Cayman Islands were panic-stricken, fearing that the tax audit would target them. Once targeted by the US Governnt, their companies would face bankruptcy.
Initially, Lu Pingping also suggested that Yan Fei register Dream Technology’s location in the Cayman Islands to lawfully avoid taxes and diversify stock risk. But Yan Fei did not adopt this suggestion at the ti and instead insisted on registering Dream Technology for business in Shanghai, China. While this resulted in higher taxes, it brought peace of mind. So when a political upheaval occurred in the Cayman Islands, it had no effect on Dream Island.
