Chapter 1631: Chapter 633 Ape Tribe Awakening_2

The librarian said, “As I ntioned earlier, I am responsible for safeguarding the entire achievents of the Ape Tribe civilization. Therefore, all the data of the Ape Tribe ultimately converges here, including the surveillance content captured by the artificial intelligence monitoring the external domain. If you wish to know what happened on Earth after the surveillance satellites crashed, you might find so valuable intelligence through these surveillance videos.”

Yan Fei was overjoyed. He hadn’t expected that, after eighty thousand years, the Ape Tribe’s remaining base surveillance equipnt would still function normally. Though he couldn’t determine the entire historical progress of Earth beyond the year 2000, at least he could deduce so key occurrences based on what transpired near Mount Kilimanjaro.

Yan Fei said, “Please play these videos for and compress them in the sa manner to reduce the viewing ti.”

The librarian said, “Understood, esteed library user. Please proceed to watch the surveillance footage.”

Laser-projected videos appeared in front of Yan Fei once more. These videos were captured by artificial intelligence and primarily covered the vicinity of Mount Kilimanjaro. The video showed a split holographic screen divided into eight smaller fras, each representing footage from one independent surveillance device. Originally, there were thousands of such monitoring devices in this area, but the majority had been decimated by human space fortress attacks, leaving only eight operational devices.

Although the Ape Tribe was no match for humans during the space era, their technology was undeniably advanced, earning admiration from countless humans even to this day. How these surveillance devices were manufactured remained a mystery, yet they continued operating normally even eighty thousand years later, delivering exceptionally clear footage.

Since the extinction war between human and ape species, Mount Kilimanjaro had fallen into eerie silence, with no trace of the forr civilization remaining. Over the span of eighty thousand years, the remnants of cities left by the Ape Tribe had vanished amidst natural erosion. Besides so beasts, no human had set foot in this area for nearly two thousand years.

The librarian understood what Yan Fei wanted to see and edited the videos to reduce viewing ti. All surveillance footage was played back at accelerated speed, with years passing in a flash on the screen. Yan Fei’s ntal power was extraordinarily strong, enabling him to multitask effortlessly. Despite the fast-forwarded pace of the videos, he could still discern the content within.

Though the footage spanned over two thousand years, Yan Fei felt it passed in an instant. The video’s tiline soon reached the modern era.

In recent decades, traces of human activity began to reappear near Mount Kilimanjaro. These individuals were inadvertently captured by the Ape Tribe’s hidden surveillance equipnt. Most of these visitors were scientists and mountaineers, their goals clear—scientific research and climbing efforts. They left promptly after accomplishing their tasks without lingering, naturally unaware of the massive secret concealed within Mount Kilimanjaro.

As ti ca closer to the present day, the variety of people visiting Mount Kilimanjaro increased beyond just scientists and mountaineers, covering individuals from various professions. The surveillance devices recorded their movents ticulously.

Yan Fei’s ntal power worked at high speeds as he watched the fast-forwarded video footage from eight surveillance devices simultaneously. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he shouted, “Stop!”

The videos imdiately paused, freezing on eight distinct fras.

Yan Fei said, “Rewind the video a bit.”

Under the librarian’s control, the surveillance footage rewound swiftly.

Yan Fei shouted again, “Stop.”

The fras ca to a halt, displaying the scenes that caught Yan Fei’s interest.

Yan Fei said, “Magnify the third surveillance video to fullscreen and enhance its resolution to make this segnt as clear as possible.”

Following Yan Fei’s instructions, the librarian executed the adjustnts, gradually bringing the originally blurry footage into sharper focus. The video displayed a pale green hue, indicative of infrared footage captured at night. In the infrared visuals, a tall human male could be seen sprinting rapidly through the jungle, carrying a backpack. Peeking out from the backpack was the head of a small chimpanzee. Above them, a shadowy outline of a fighter jet hovered closely.

As he watched this segnt, Yan Fei imdiately confird that the human male in the footage was himself. This was from the first ti he went to Africa to contend for the upgrade essential items required by the drone, pursued relentlessly by a blonde CIA agent from the United States. Though Yan Fei heavily injured the blonde agent, it resulted in attracting airborne attacks from US fighter jets. The footage captured the exact mont Yan Fei fled for his life during the fighter jet’s strikes.

The man in appearance and physique bore no resemblance to Yan Fei. That was because, during this mission, Yan Fei had deliberately altered his features and physique. Without being Yan Fei himself, no one could identify the human male in the footage as him. As for the small chimpanzee in the backpack, it was the orphan left behind by two chimpanzees who helped Yan Fei severely injure the blonde agent.

Yan Fei hadn’t anticipated that his actions from back then would be captured by the Ape Tribe’s remaining base surveillance equipnt. He froze briefly and then said, “Play this segnt at normal speed with its current resolution.”

The librarian said, “Understood!”

The video resud playback. The footage showed Yan Fei under constant airborne attack by US fighter jets. Forced into a desperate situation, Yan Fei placed the small chimpanzee in a freshly bombed-out mountain cave before leaving it there to pursue the blonde agent. He subsequently ran out of the surveillance equipnt’s coverage range, disappearing from view.

Suddenly recalling those events, Yan Fei posed a question, “Administrator, do you know what happened to the small chimpanzee in that cave afterward?”

The librarian replied, “That cave turned out to be a ventilation shaft for the Ape Tribe’s base. Its connection to the outside world was sealed by a thin layer of stone, which beca exposed following a weapon strike. Inside, there happened to be a monitoring device. You can watch the footage of the small chimpanzee entering the cave.”

The screen display changed to show footage captured by the ventilation shaft’s internal monitoring device. The video depicted the small chimpanzee chaotically crawling within the ventilation shaft after Yan Fei placed it in there and departed. By accident, the chimpanzee slid into a miniature chute, which took it straight to the Ape Tribe’s surviving base, lying six thousand ters underground.

Although this Ape Tribe base was only a small remnant, its essential defensive functions remained operational. Upon detecting the presence of an unknown creature entering the base, security screening equipnt at the entrance activated. A beam of light shot out from the base’s main gate, scanning the small chimpanzee’s body. After identifying the creature as part of the Ape Tribe, the artificial intelligence managing the base issued a command to awaken a massive chanical monkey from the weapon storage room. In that room, there were many other chanical monkeys, but they seed to be heavily damaged and rendered nonfunctional based on the footage.

The awakened chanical monkey ascended to the mountain cave entrance and, with its formidable weaponry, easily collapsed the cave from the inside. Following this, it located the small chimpanzee, transporting it to the Ape Tribe’s cultivation room. There, the chanical monkey placed the chimpanzee into a cultivation pod filled with growth liquid and fitted an unusual learning apparatus atop its head.

Witnessing this footage, Yan Fei suddenly understood why the mountain cave had collapsed—it was the doing of the Ape Tribe’s artificial intelligence. Contrary to Yan Fei’s belief that the small chimpanzee had perished, it had instead been retrieved to the Ape Tribe’s surviving base. As guilt consud Yan Fei for feeling he had let down the small chimpanzee and its parents, he watched as the chimpanzee received nourishnt through growth liquid and embraced the legacy of the Ape Tribe civilization in the depths of the underground base…
