Chapter 1388: Chapter 1374: Heaven’s Will Chapter 1388: Chapter 1374: Heaven’s Will This guy really seed as if nothing had happened at all; Guo Yuyun was extrely skeptical about how he managed it.

Ye Chen said, “With here, you still get to enjoy two barbecued als. Without , you’d really have no at to eat at all.”

“How could you be so foolish to let them get away?”

“Ah, what’s the point in talking about that now? Let’s talk about your thoughts. How do you plan to get through the coming days?”

While they were talking, a roaring sound ca from behind, carried over from the foggy sea. It sounded like the Pangu Beast, followed by a thunderous boom that broke the calm of the sea and redirected their attention back to the ocean.

Ye Chen muttered, “They couldn’t have encountered the Pangu Beast, could they?”

Guo Yuyun glanced at Ye Chen, her heart filled with suppressed anger, and she exclaid, “Well, that’s karma for you, it serves them right to be eaten!”

Ye Chen squinted toward the dense fog, in the exact direction of the booming sound and the roar.

A flag that fluttered in the wind appeared first, followed by the barely visible sail. Ye Chen doubted his eyes, the ship that had sailed off was actually returning. It was all like a dream as he said, “It seems that girl still has so feelings for .”

Hearing this, how could Guo Yuyun stand it? She kicked him sideways and shouted, “So feelings, huh!” Jealousy was written all over her face.

But then a loud bang—a fireball in flight—made it clear to them.

“They seem to be chased by a monster,” Ye Chen murmured.

“Good, it would be nice if it ate them all, the whole bunch of bastards.”

“They’re trying to co ashore.”

“Co ashore?” Guo Yuyun repeated in a murmur.

“They’re sending us a distress signal.” The ship erged more clearly through the thick fog, and Ye Chen saw a plu of white smoke billowing from the bow—soone was sending smoke signals from the front of the ship.

Guo Yuyun sneered and said, “A distress signal, now they rember us? I think we should join forces with the Pangu Beast and blow the ship to pieces, turn them all into drowned rats.”

Ye Chen, taken aback, said, “You really want to slaughter them? Even if that’s the case, let’s wait until we’ve left this island before taking action. We have a stake in that ship, and if it’s destroyed, we won’t be able to leave this island.” By this ti, he had more or less figured out the aning behind the smoke signals. They were probably being targeted by the Pangu Beast, and since they were no match for it, their only choice was to head for shore where there were plenty of traps. They sent the signals to have them prepare to face the Pangu Beast together.

“These damned fools still think I should save them.” Guo Yuyun had been fuming all morning, nearly bloodthirsty.

“Honestly, I know you hate them, but that’s the only ship we have to leave this desolate island. If it’s destroyed, we don’t know how many months we’ll be stuck here. Think not just for their sake, but for ours too, unless you really want to play ‘Beauty and the Beast’ here, but I believe you wouldn’t want that.”

Ye Chen called out, “Hurry up.”

Though there were several traps prepared days ago, they still required soone to operate them, and of course, they knew the locations of those traps.

“Stop dithering, let’s move. We’ll settle scores with them later,” he said, irked. It seed like the heavens had opened their eyes, unexpectedly granting them another chance.

Guo Yuyun, though still furious, was soone who understood reason. The ‘monkey’ made sense.

“Co on, you handle the trap on the left; I’ll take care of the one on the right.” The ship that had sailed out returning was almost miraculous, giving them hope once more. Ye Chen added, “We can’t afford to destroy the ship. Building another would take at least a month, and I reckon you’ve had more than enough of this place.” It was as if he was reminding her that they had to protect the ship at all costs.

Guo Yuyun certainly didn’t want to stay in this godforsaken place any longer, wishing she could grow wings and fly away from this accursed island.

The rumbling noise was drawing closer.

The ship had sailed through the white fog and was approaching the shore. A giant creature rolled in the sea like a Water Dragon, emitting frightening noises.

“Be careful, make sure you hide well,” Ye Chen said with concern.

They hurried to check and prepare.

The truth was, the traps had been set up days earlier; there wasn’t much to prepare, just a final inspection was needed.

They couldn’t avoid the Pangu Beast even with the cover of the fog. The Pangu Beast had ultimately set its sights on them, now biting at the rear of their ship. But ng Xiuluo would not allow the Pangu Beast to get any closer. If the ship was destroyed, they would have to spend another month on the island, and that was the last thing he wanted.

Fortunately, they were getting closer to the shore. They released the Winged Dragons, which, compared to the Pangu Beast, were like insects that the Pangu Beast didn’t take seriously at all. However, the Winged Dragons, like flying mosquitoes, tangled it up. While not fatal, they prevented it from focusing and forced it to find a way to fight back.

Dozens of Winged Dragons that could also spew Fireballs were suddenly released, surrounding the Pangu Beast in the sky, chaotically flying everywhere, continuously spurting Fireballs towards it. So hit the Pangu Beast, and it began to emit terrifying roars of alarm.

So hit its head, and although it did not want to bother with them at first, chasing directly after the ship, the swarms of Winged Dragons beca bolder when they saw it paid them no heed. Forming a squadron, they bombarded it with over a dozen Fireballs, causing it so much discomfort that it could only sink beneath the water’s surface.

At this mont, ng Xiuluo and her group released those that could swim in the water, sowhat resembling sea lions, with two long, fang-like tusks, but far more ferocious than real sea lions.

These too engaged in a fierce struggle with the Pangu Beast under the water.

Eventually, the Pangu Beast could no longer bear it, and a deadly fight broke out between the swarms of Winged Dragons, the underwater monsters, and the beast itself.

However, the Winged Dragons were no match for it; after all, its skin was too thick, like wearing an armor. When it hurled a Fireball, several dragons would be blown away, spiraling down into the water.

But the Pangu Beast’s battle with the sky’s Winged Dragons and the sea’s beastly pride provided them with an opportunity. ng Xiuluo seized the chance to head towards the island. Of course, she knew it would not be long before the Pangu Beast would erge victorious. Yet they did not care; so Winged Dragons had perished, but if it ant their survival and the safety of the ship, it was all worth it.

“Hurry up and speed up,” ng Xiuluo cautioned, worried they were slacking off.

The Pangu Beast and the Winged Dragons fought, creating a bloody ss. Despite their numbers, the Winged Dragons were no match for it, not even close.

In a short while, the outco was decided. The Pangu Beast let out a victorious roar, and the living Winged Dragons, seeing their brethren torn apart, scattered in fear, each racing to save their own lives.

Soon, those that had entangled the Pangu Beast took flight, and the creature, full of fury, set its sights back on the ship. However, by now the ship was far away, though still so distance from the shore.

ng Xiuluo organized a group of experts to block the Fireballs that the Pangu Beast spat out towards them.

Ye Chen stood atop a treetop, watching the Water Dragon churning in the waves getting closer and closer, nearly upon them—in a mont, within just about ten yards of the ship.

The formations set by the people released lightning, but they were still unable to withstand the attack, and the ship’s mast was blown apart.

Ye Chen broke out in a cold sweat, not because he was in danger, but without the ship, he would have no ans to leave, and there was no telling how long he would be stuck.

ng Xiuluo, in desperation, almost felt like jumping into the sea to combat the Pangu Beast herself—she truly had the courage to do so.

In the end, several ancient Winged Dragons were also set loose to confront the Pangu Beast.

Boom, boom, boom…

A plank of wood was blasted into the air.

Ye Chen really wanted to curse out loud at these useless creatures—if he had been on the ship, it wouldn’t have been so easily defeated. He called out, “Yun’er, be prepared. I’m going to help them.”

The ship might be destroyed as several Fireballs exploded near it; it wouldn’t be lucky every ti.

With a light movent, Ye Chen glided over the water, taking advantage of the ship being not too far away, he flew directly over in one breath. Had the distance been any greater, he would have ended up plunging into the depths of the sea.

Several streaks of energy and two Fireballs were coming straight for the ship. Ye Chen released two bolts of lightning with a single palm, extinguishing the Fireballs mid-air in a critical mont, saving the vessel from being breached by the blasts.

ng Xiuluo wiped the seawater off her forehead only to realize that Ye Chen had already co over, calling out, “You cheap thing, take on the Pangu Beast!” as if she had found a savior.

Although Ye Chen was no match for the Pangu Beast, he could hang on for a while, not being so easily defeated, and at this mont, that little while was all the ship needed to rush in.

Without a second word, Ye Chen released all his energy in a furious assault, aiming at the Pangu Beast; despite knowing the Pangu Beast disdained it, it still charged at him like a mad bull.

Ye Chen could only continue unleashing lightning.

The lightning struck towards its eyes, and the Pangu Beast in return spewed a Fire Dragon.

Seizing the mont, ng Xiuluo instructed the ship to swiftly push through into the forest.

As they approached the shore, seeing the Pangu Beast subrge beneath the water, Ye Chen knew the danger had not passed; everything was just beginning.

The people on the ship, like ducks ashore, fled in all directions. Ye Chen kept his gaze on the water’s surface.

The ship had entered a Canyon.
