760 One down. Two to go
Vincent knew he was in a predicant. The enemy in front of him surpassed him not only with stats but with condition as well. aty was tried, unlike the exhausted Vincent.
Vincent could perceive using Critical Ti three tis was not enough. He understood he had to up his ga and win at all costs.
Vincent had to use everything in his arsenal counted as legal in this fight. It ant Vincent couldn’t use his Soul Dinsional Storage blatantly and throw swords or sharpened sticks at aty.
Vincent only had one option left. He had once again to combine his hero and mutation power to the maximum.
Vincent glared at aty. His lips moved, and his angered voice could be heard saying, “Soul Invite. You lump of at.”

aty saw the world suddenly slow down, and darkness engulfed his view. As he moved his eyes, hoping to disperse the darkness, he noticed Vincent’s eyes staring at him. The eyes were moving, unlike the rest of the world.
Darkness consud his view. When the darkness faded, aty saw Vincent sitting like a king on an erald throne. Perched on his shoulder was a ball of light shining green.
He saw a small erald wolf jump from Vincent’s lap. He saw erald butterflies circling Vincent as if they wanted to protect him. He saw an erald snake with flowers on its body and a watch around its neck.
aty moved his head left and right. He wanted to figure out what was happening and where he was at the mont.
All he saw was darkness behind him and to his sides. Only in front of him was light because of a small green sun.
“Don’t be flustered. This is the underworld.” Said Vincent in a condescending tone.
Vincent tapped on the armrest and questioned in an authoritative tone, “Speak, gladiator aty. Tell what they have done to your body to beco mutated. How can a person with a warrior class be able to use a berserker skill like the five of you are doing?”
aty looked at Vincent without responding. He moved his eyes as if he was trying to think.
*Sigh* “Here.” Vincent said while throwing a sword and landing in front of aty. “Use the blade to take a good look at yourself.”
aty beca confused. First, he was inford he had mysteriously entered the underworld. Now he was told to look at his reflection in the blade thrown in front of him.
aty did not have anything to lose. He leaned, and his eyes widened from shock. With the green light Bright was emitting, he saw a face similar to his, but the face was distorted as if a kid had played with a clay sculpture of a human head.
aty hurriedly picked up the sword. He moved the blade to look at the reflection of his upper body and his face.
*Gasp* “This... this is ?...”
“Yes. That is what I am currently seeing.”
“I see a human who has mutated into a monster. So much so that the body the soul has created to enter the underworld can not be called a human. You look more like a demonic beast than a human.”
[Now we know the mutation they have undergone has corrupted their souls. In fact, the bear that visited us previously didn’t have a corrupted soul as this gladiator.]
aty contorted his face and revealed his teeth. His eyes suddenly shone brightly yellow. His breathing increased, and his bulging veins quivered. The hilt of the sword in his hand started deforming. It showed aty was clenching his fists with a lot of strength.
[Vincent. His soul feels unstable. I can feel his soul expanding and bending as if it is trying to do sothing dangerous.]
-Dangerous?-
[That is the only way I can put it. As a soul myself, I can partially perceive what the thing in front of us is and what is happing to it.]
-He definitely looks more like a demonic beast than a human, both in appearance and rationality.-
[We better take this opportunity to defeat him. Kids, get ready to mutate and kick the bad monster out of our ho.]
*Woof* *Bzz* *Shine* *Swish* (^w^)
All five soul pets beca excited to throw away the enemy out of their ho. They were also happy to help Vincent, Ester, and Lupa win the fight.
Vincent nodded in agreeance. He extended his hand and pointed at the deford aty. “Sic ’em!” He told his soul pets.
Wolfie, Freerie, Bright, Helle, and Watz quickly mutated and beca a force to be reckoned with.
They charged at
aty roared like a wild beast without an ounce of reason. He took a step forward and lunged at the large Wolfie, Freerie, and Helle.
Wolfie jumped to the side to avoid the attack. Freerie flew in the sky. Helle contorted its snake-like body to evade the attack.
aty relentlessly attacked Helle. The damage Helle received was one inch deep laceration per hit. But it wasn’t a wound Bright could not heal.
Wolfie swung its sharp claws at aty’s back while Freerie shot stingers at aty’s upper body. Their attacks were made in coordination thanks to Watz linking their intentions with each other.
However, aty kept attacking and trying to kill Helle without minding the damage he was receiving. All he cared about in his current unstable state of mind was to kill, kill, and kill. Kill everything in front of him.
“Good thing he is fighting recklessly. ”
[Yeah. aty would be a formidable opponent if he used his brain.]
Minute after the other passed. Wolfie inflicted a lot of lacerations on the large swole tough body. Wolfie coordinated the attacks and kept aty busy.
Freerie impaled its stinger in his shoulders multiple tis. When one stinger was pushed out by the muscles and fell, another stinger would be shot at approximately in the sa place.
When Wolfie gradually took the aggro, Helle extended dozens of snake vines batch after batch. So whipped, so opened a serrated mouth and bit the hard flesh, while so wrapped around the limbs until getting severed with a powerful tug.
In the end, aty’s soul body was covered with a lot of injuries. Wolfie and Helle had damaged erald bodies, but it was nothing Bright’s healing power could not fix.
[Vincent. His soul is becoming unstable again. I think we should stop. Eight minutes of fighting is enough.]
Vincent nodded. “Kids, thanks for your help. I will take care of him in the living world.”
The darkness started to fade, and their consciousness started to shift to their living body. As the process advanced to the next stage and the two could see each other in the living world, the last exchange was about to comnce.
Vincent could see aty’s eyes were trembling. He could tell the mighty gladiator, who could block attacks with his large muscular swole body, was feeling the pain of his injured soul coursing through his veins.
aty was feeling phantom pain all over his body. Instead of the pain arriving from the mind, it ca from the soul.
Furthermore, because the soul empowers people with classes and boosts the limits of their mortal shell, an injured soul would, in turn, reduce the power obtained.
As the ti gradually resud to flow normally for both of them, aty was montarily shocked by pain and weakness.
In this split-second opportunity, Vincent used all the mana left in his body from the tiny wind sigils to blow as much wind as possible at the sa ti.
Vincent’s strike won the clash, causing aty’s shield to get knocked off his hands. His leg staggered a step back, and his body tilted sideways as if he was about to lose his balance.
As Vincent landed on his feet. His eyes moved sideways, and he leaned forward. He clenched the muscles of his back and fird his leg muscles.
A hand landed on his back, and a body soon reached on top of him. Mimi used Vincent to lift her body and reach her target with ease.
Mimi held her rapier with sharp yet liquid blood on the blade, moving like a thin chainsaw firmly. She didn’t want to miss the opportunity Vincent bought for her.
Mimi swiftly thrust her rapier with a sharp bloody blade at the defenseless aty’s throat. In the blink of an eye, the blade impaled aty’s throat.
Mimi’s blood on the blade moved up and down vigorously. *GRRRR!* “DIE!” She shouted while pushing the rapier to the side with all her might.
*Slash* Mimi succeeded, and a lot of blood gushed out. aty, with his muscles weakened, was not able to withstand Mimi’s attack, resulting in his death.
Vincent jumped back with Mimi above him. He grabbed her legs and carried her on his back. In the blink of an eye, a shield landed on the ground.
It landed at the sa location where Vincent was standing. Furthermore, the shield had dug itself about halfway into the ground. It ant if the attack was undefended, the shield throw could have seriously injured or killed Vincent.
Mimi patted Vincent’s shoulder. “Thanks for the ride.” She glanced at her father and added, “I bet carrying like this is making so people angry, hehe.”
“Good to hear you joke in this situation.” Vincent lowered Mimi to her feet and continued, “I am almost all out. I have enough mana not to suffer from mana fatigue, and I only have a few seconds left of Overheat.”
