36: Bennett Thompson 36: Bennett Thompson Editor: _Lunaelle, The_Dreamweavers The car drove directly to the Provincial Military District Hospital.

As Reuben entered a building that seed heavily guarded with security forces, he made a phone call, and then soone ca out to greet them.

“Mr.

Bennett, how are you?” Reuben greeted the young man sowhat humbly.

Peter glanced at him, noticing the young man was dressed well and handso, with the aura of soone in power.

However, Peter’s ntality had already changed, and he wasn’t intimidated by such an aura, so he just stood there without speaking.

Bennett Thompson looked at Peter and then at Reuben and said, “This is him?”

“Yes, this is Peter Brown,” Reuben replied.

“Peter, this is Mr.

Benett, son of the Thompson family.”

Peter gave a slight nod.

Bennett didn’t make things difficult for the two and simply said, “Let’s go.” He then headed inside.

Peter could see that Bennett had a deep sense of unease.

Soon, the three of them entered the building, and as Peter looked around, he saw many people standing in the corridor, with the light in the operating room lit up in the distance.

“Dad.”

Reuben saw his father and hurried over.

The crowd’s eyes swept over them.

Reuben’s father’s expression looked terrible, and he said solemnly, “This situation is very serious.”

At this point, he noticed that Peter had also arrived.

His eyes brightened montarily, but then dimd again, and he said, “Oh Peter, you’re here.

Please wait a mont.”

Peter knew very well that there weren’t many opportunities for him to intervene in this matter, so he just nodded and went over to sit down.

Of course, Peter was also deliberately observing the people here.

Most of them were quite impressive figures, but he didn’t know what kind of leaders they were.

As ti passed, the expressions of the Thompson family mbers beca increasingly grave.

From the whispers of the crowd, Peter learned so information.

The issue was not just a stroke, but that the patient had suddenly collapsed, hitting his head on the table and cracking it open, even damaging the skull.

It was no small matter.

“Mom!” A girl from the Thompson family looked at a middle-aged woman and cried, her tears nearly flowing down.

When Peter looked at the Thompson family’s n, he saw they had two sons.

Seeing this situation, Peter couldn’t help but complain inwardly, wondering why they had so many children.

However, Peter noticed sothing else: the young girl and Bennett seed closer to the middle-aged woman than the other son, who stood on the opposite side.

Was this a restructured family?

As Peter pondered this, Reuben approached him and said, “I don’t think we’ll need you.”

Peter gave a slight nod, knowing that it was unlikely that they would allow a doctor without a license to practice dicine.

After all, he thought Reuben and the others were being reckless, asking for his help.

However, Peter thought that since he was already here, he might as well see what happened.

“Are you the doctor that Uncle Taylor invited to treat his friend?”

Kiran Thompson, the eldest son of the Thompson family, walked over and looked at Peter.

Peter stood up and said, “I wouldn’t dare say I can cure, but I ca to take a look.”

“Hmph, do you have a license?”

Peter saw the man’s hostile expression and shook his head, saying, “No.”

“Without a license, what kind of dicine can you practice?

What are you doing here?

What kind of person did you invite?”

Kiran suddenly beca angry.

Peter’s expression didn’t change much, and he said, “You’re right.

This is a hospital, and there are doctors here to treat patients.

I just ca to take a look.”

Seeing that Peter didn’t argue, Kiran’s face softened and he said to Reuben, “Don’t invite just anyone.”

This matter had been discussed by Reuben’s father, and they knew that he had invited soone.

However, when they deliberately confronted Reuben about it, it felt like they were provoking his father.

Peter glanced at Reuben’s father and wondered just how deep their relationship was with the patient.

At this mont, Bennett spoke up, “Dad suddenly fell seriously ill, and it’s understandable for Uncle Taylor to be concerned.

Big bro, you went too far.”

“Hmph!”

Kiran glanced at the middle-aged woman and snorted before saying nothing more.

Bennett then looked at Peter and said, “When the ti cos, I hope you can help check on my dad.”

This kid had a good attitude!

Peter looked up and noticed that Bennett had intentionally or unintentionally glanced at Kiran.

Seeing this look, Peter shook his head secretly, feeling as if he had fallen into the Thompson family’s internal struggles.

‘Never mind, let’s not get involved in this!’

Peter simply closed his eyes and rested where he was sitting.

A long ti passed, and suddenly, the tightly closed door opened.

As Peter looked over, his eyes suddenly narrowed, realizing that sothing might have gone wrong.

As expected, several middle-aged and elderly doctors wearing military uniforms and white coats erged with solemn expressions.

“How is Mr.

Thompson?”

“Is everything all right?”

“How is Leo?”

The crowd quickly gathered around.

At this mont, the leading old man took off his mask, his face looking terrible, and said, “We tried our best!”

“Ah!”

Everyone was stunned, for such words were often heard in movies, and they usually ant that there was no hope left.

“What did you say?!” Kiran seed to have gone mad and grabbed the old man’s collar.

A few doctors hurried to protect the old man.

With a shake of his head, the old man said, “Massive intracranial hemorrhage, combined with the bleeding from the stroke, as well as the shattered skull.

Even though we did our best to save him, we still couldn’t.”

“Dad!”

The girl scread and rushed into the room.

With her rush, everyone else followed suit.

“I’m sorry!” the old man sighed.

At this ti, the middle-aged woman almost fainted but was caught by Bennett in ti.

Peter noticed that half of the people in the room had left, and those who remained had somber expressions on their faces.

Looking at Reuben’s father, his face was also pale.

Seeing their expressions, Peter shook his head.

“Peter, co in and take a look quickly.”

At this mont, Reuben pulled Peter by the arm, ready to take him inside.

“Right, you’re a miracle doctor, aren’t you?

Hurry up and take a look at my dad!”

At that mont, Bennett seed to rember Peter and, as if grasping at straws, desperately pulled Peter inside.

When they entered, they saw the patient with his eyes closed, lying on the bed.

Although the machines were still running, the monitors indicated that there was likely no hope left.
