Just thinking that the fool right in front of dared to say he was in love with my sister, while he couldn’t even tell the two of us apart, made my blood boil. It took a lot of effort to repress the urge to reach out and strangle his neck right then and there. I reminded myself that I had a part to play and quite an audience to impress.

"No... this can’t be..." Mr. Malton whispered hoarsely from a distance, stepping even further away from . I stood up from the table, grabbed his arm, and pulled him back to my side as I glared up into his face.

"It’s actually quite simple to fool you. All I had to do was dress up in my sister’s clothes whenever I t you and talk a little more sweetly..." I said, letting out a hysterical laugh. I could still feel everyone’s eyes on us as the attention in the room escalated even more than before.

Mr. Malton was speechless as he tried to pull his arm away from my grip, but I wasn’t about to let him get away so easily.

"Well, now I guess the secret is out. What should we do? Should we just run away together?" I asked Mr. Malton, though I had absolutely no intentions of running away with soone like him.

"You’re crazy!" he yelled at . I smirked at the first sign of him finally losing control. Perhaps for once in a very long ti, Mr. Malton felt like he didn’t have anything under control.

"Have you told your wife about us? I guess it won’t be a problem if you’re going to be divorcing her soon, right?" I asked, taunting him before flashing a bright smile.

"Get away from . You disgust ," Mr. Malton said through clenched teeth.

There were many things I wanted to say to him, none of them kind or comforting, but I decided to hold my tongue to see how things would play out. By then, it was already clear that I had achieved my objective of fooling Mr. Malton into thinking that the girl he had been with was always rather than Diana. I glanced over at the group of girls who now had their phones up, realizing they needed no more convincing to believe the story we wanted to tell. When my eyes t my sister’s, she nodded slightly to signal that it was enough.

"What are you doing? Stop recording right now!" Diana yelled at the girls.

"You were recording this?" Mr. Malton asked in disbelief, as if he was finally becoming fully aware of his surroundings for the first ti since everyone walked in on us making out.

After that, chaos broke out in the room as Mr. Malton tried to stop the girls from recording videos and taking photos. Ultimately, it was already too late, and I was certain that countless pairs of eyes had already seen those videos and that recordings were already being shared online. That was the power of the internet-it made crazy little girls unstoppable. I watched with passive eyes as the ssy scene unfolded in front of as if it had nothing to do with .

"Tell them, Dahlia! Tell them this is all just a misunderstanding. There is nothing going on between us," Mr. Malton ordered.

"What are you saying? You told you love and that we’ll be together forever!" I yelled back just as loudly, as if I were feeling hysterical at the news of my lover leaving .

"Calm down, girls. This is nothing but a misunderstanding. Dahlia called here because she needed my help," Mr. Malton explained with the last lie he could think of.

The unimpressed looks mixed with disgust on the girls’ faces told they didn’t believe even a fraction of his words.

"He’s married, Dahlia..." one of the girls said accusingly, hurt in her eyes.

"He told it’s over between them. He’ll divorce her to be with instead. Isn’t that right?" I replied coolly, turning to Mr. Malton for confirmation.

"Marriage is sacred. I would never do anything like that," Mr. Malton replied passionately.

"If that’s what you truly believe, then you should tell that to your wife, not ," I replied, unable to hide my anger.

Mr. Malton turned to face , his face red with anger. He grabbed the tops of my arms, pulling close until our foreheads were almost touching. His breathing was heavy, and I could tell he was on the verge of breaking.

"Listen, you bitch. You better deny everything before this ruins your life," Mr. Malton hissed, ensuring his words stayed exclusively between us.

He was finally showing his true colors, and it didn’t surprise at all. I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to stop myself from bursting out laughing. At that mont, I was absolutely certain that I was the rebellious one. Perhaps both my sister and I were rebellious all the way down to our cores.

"I would be more worried about your life if I were you. You’ll be ruined too, because I’m definitely dragging you down with . It takes two to tango, teacher..." I replied boldly.

My reaction wasn’t what Mr. Malton had anticipated. His shock quickly transford into uncontrollable anger. I was certain he was about to raise his hand to slap across the face, but there was simply no ti for that spectacle to unfold.

"Stop! What is going on?" a loud, booming voice pierced the tense atmosphere.

Soone must have caught wind of what was happening in that abandoned school building and reported it to the security team because they soon ca running along with the principal. I wasn’t sure what I was feeling, but the next thing I knew, I was giggling and then laughing loudly like a lunatic who had lost it all-and perhaps that wasn’t so far from the truth. The gears were in motion, the ball was rolling downhill, and there was no stopping it.
