Although most of the events dragged on into the night, fortunately there was a day when the event ended early in the evening. Based on our agreent, that ant that there should be no issue if I were to take off right after the end of that event. When I told Desmond about my free schedule, he had no issues in finding an evening celebration event for the two of us to make our public appearance together.

“I thought that this was supposed to be so sort of event that we needed to attend together?” I asked as I felt slightly upset and betrayed.

“This is a special dinner date. I don’t think that it’s wrong to call this an event or unusual for this to appear in our calendars,” Bradon replied casually.

The event that was supposed to end early in the evening that was placed in our calendars turned out to be a private dinner between Bradon and myself and nothing more.

“Listen, we’ve been spending all our waking hours together already attending all those planned events. Don’t you think that adding this dinner on top of it is a bit too much?” I asked although it wasn’t truly a question.

“I don’t think so. Having dinner out together is nice. So wine for you?” Bradon replied casually before offering wine.

I had so many things that I wanted to say to him and that did not include my wine preferences.

“If this isn’t an event, then I guess there’s no need for to be here,” I said as I slowly stood up from my seat and grabbed my handbag.

“Where do you think you’re going?” He has and his voice was dead cold.

I was glad that the setup for our dinner date was extrely private, because that ant that I didn’t need to maintain my perfect façade as Diana.

“Why does it matter to you where I go? As far as I’m concerned, we’re finished here,” I said as I felt heat rushed to my head.

If I headed out now, I was sure that I could get a head start on the next event with Desmond and that would an that I could end the day earlier than planned. Honestly, attending all these events without a break along with Bradon was so exhausting. On top of having to maintain my act as Diana, I also had to deal with the pressure from other people while also handling Bradon and his demands. All of that effort had taken a toll on and I felt like I needed to catch up on sleep.

“Stop it, Dahlia. Let’s have dinner together,” Bradon said as if it was an invitation.

“You can’t stop from going where I want to go!” I ended up yelling at him as my anger took over.

We clearly had an agreent and he wasn’t upholding his end of it. He told that he would support , so I had no idea why he was behaving this way. The fact that he lied to that this was supposed to be a compulsory event didn’t help improve my mood at all. Bradon was right behind when I walked away. He grabbed my wrist and pulled back to face him, and I could tell that he was angry.

“We made a deal. Why are you getting in the way?” I asked as I felt my desperation taking over.

“Fine, but let co with you,” he relented partially after staring deeply into my eyes for a short mont.

“You know that that’s not going to work,” I stated bluntly.

It would never make sense for Anthony to turn up with Dahlia along with the King to join so evening gala event together. Bradon looked extrely conflicted, but in the end, he slowly let go of my wrist. I walked away without even bothering to thank him because all I had on my mind was getting my work done.

...

“Do I really have to wear this?” I asked the lady who brought a dress to change into.

By the ti that I arrived at the event venue, there was less than half an hour left for to get dressed. I had thought that the dress that I had on could work quite well. Unbelievably, it had completely slipped my mind that Dahlia couldn’t possibly turn up to an event in the evening wearing the sa dress that her sister had worn during the day to another event. I cursed myself for making such a rookie mistake and for being so unprepared. Thankfully, Desmond had an entire outfit prepared for ; however, I wondered why it had to be so revealing.

“The king strictly ordered for you to wear this to attend this event. This dress is supposed to match with the king’s outfit as well,” the lady inford politely yet also very stiffly.

“My boobs are going to be hanging out...” I muttered to myself but the lady’s bewildered expression clearly told that she had heard as well.

While she looked awkward, I waved my hand at her dismissively so that she would get out of the room. I stared at the mirror after I had changed into a V-neck sleek glittery black dress that Desmond had prepared for . The size was perfect and the dress hugged my figure snugly while clearly showing off the curves of my body and my cleavage. The slit of the dress that ran up my left thigh only added to the alluring sexiness of the image. When I suddenly turned to reach for my handbag with the intention of grabbing my lipstick, I suddenly felt dizzy and had to grab on to a nearby chair to steady myself. For a mont, I felt so confused and my vision began to blur. I took in a deep breath in an attempt to calm myself. Fortunately, after taking a few deep breaths and standing still with my eyes closed, I felt normal again, and when I opened my eyes my vision was as clear as before.
