It would also be a matter of ti until Desmond summoned to help him out. Everyone was itching to know about my relationship with the new king and I was sure that Desmond was silent for now all for the sake of building up the anticipation. When everyone is curious and everyone goes crazy about gossip related to us, we would appear in public to debut our rekindled romantic relationship.
“I’m exhausted...” I complained as I threw my handbag down onto the sofa before collapsing on it.
Bradon shrugged off his suit and loosened his tie before sitting down next to . He turned to offer a smile before he began patting my back as if to console .
“If next week’s schedule looks anything like this, it’s going to end up killing ,” I complained bitterly.
I hoped that Bradon would take my warning seriously and work out our schedule with Anthony’s team. There was no way that we could be that busy with events, given that Anthony had work to do at the company as well and I also knew that Bradon also had work to do at his casinos and various other businesses. That was why I couldn’t completely understand why we ended up attending even second tier events that normally we probably wouldn’t even bother to make an appearance, whether alone or together.
“Well see about that...” Bradon replied without any kind of commitnt.
I glared at him before deciding to let it slide. I was already well prepared to skip out on the events in the coming week if the schedule turned out to be as crazy and so ti consuming as before.
“Can you scoot over there a little?” Bradon requested.
I stared at him silently for a few seconds before I decided to do exactly what he told to. I wasn’t so surprised when a mont later, Bradon laid his head on my lap. He let out a sigh that sounded satisfied as his hand moved to stroke my thighs while his blue eyes looked up at . For a mont, it felt like he looked like a cat, a very big one.
“My legs and feet are sore, and I’m not in the best of moods,” I warned him begrudgingly because this was pretty much his fault.
“Should I give you a massage?” he offered while sounding quite serious.
Bradon suddenly sat up before his hands moved to massage my thighs as he smiled playfully at .
“You know, I don’t like it that you’re trying to suck up and get on my good side because this just makes feel like next week will be worse...” I said as I stared directly into his eyes.
“Let massage your feet for you as well...” Bradon offered sweetly instead of replying about our schedule next week.
He knelt down close to my feet before picking one of them up into his hands and began massaging it. The way Bradon just smiled at innocently confird my worst suspicion that our schedule for next week would be just as packed as before.I couldn’t stop staring down at him and the movents of his hands while I was at a complete loss for words at his unexpected actions.
...
“Desmond, I an, the king wants to see ,” I told Bradon for the countless ti with clear desperation in my voice.
“So?” Bradon replied as if it was not at all his problem.
“My schedule was never free when the king wants to see . There are events that he wants to accompany him to, you know, for the sake of the plan,” I explained although there was probably no need for any explanation.
Bradon knew completely well that I had to act out my role as Dahlia and as Desmond’s lover as well, but for so reason, my schedule was always too full to accommodate that.
“So, does Desmond want to see you or does the king want to see you?” He asked coldly.
“Isn’t it one and the sa?” I replied with a question of my own while trying to suppress my frustration.
I had no idea why Bradon was acting this way or why he was so hard to deal with. I did consider that maybe I should just make a run for it, or get the king to escort out. The only thing holding back was the fact that I knew that it would probably lead to even bigger problems.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” he muttered darkly in reply.
I let out an exasperated sigh as I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. It felt like this argunt was leading us nowhere productive.
“Can’t we co to so reasonable compromise about this, like perhaps, allowing to share ti between the two roles?” I asked as I tried to remain civil.
“You were the one that said that you won’t compromise our agreent in order to help Desmond,” Bradon reminded again with a pointed look my way.
I sucked in the deep breath and reminded myself to remain calm.
“I see. I take it that as long as I attend all these scheduled events with you, then it wouldn’t be an issue, right?” I asked to make sure that I got this down correctly.
Bradon stared silently at for a mont before he nodded his head.
“Great, let’s go with that...” I said in agreent to bring our discussion to a close.
The following week was just as hectic as the one before, and that didn’t surprise . Bradon probably had no idea just how impatient Desmond had grown. After receiving a call that pretty much sounded like a threat that he would use a royal summon to invite to one of the events with him, I decided that I needed to do sothing and fast. It didn’t take long for to realize that there was a loophole in the agreent that I made with Bradon, and that was because I had intentionally made that loophole when I got him to agree that there wouldn’t be an issue as long as I managed to attend all the scheduled events with him.
