Chapter 1912: 547: Reunion_4
“Attach this couplet as well.”
Mary Perryne looked at the red couplet in the bag, seemingly lost in thought, then added, “I rember last year’s couplet was handwritten by Viola.”
Viola Thompson’s handwriting was very beautiful.
This led to Sawyer Thompson boasting to every visitor that ca to their house.
Upon hearing this, Samuel Thompson could not help but lose his smile.
Edward Thompson imdiately said, “Mom, perhaps Viola wants to surprise you and will co back ho tonight?”
Samuel Thompson nodded in agreent, “Bob is right, Mom, don’t think too much. Viola will definitely co ho safely.”
Even though he knew that Viola would not be coming ho for the New Year, Samuel still did his best to comfort Mary Perryne.
Before finding Viola, Mary Perryne had severe depression, and he worried that it would flare up again.
Mary Perryne looked at them, “But your sister has been unreachable, how could she suddenly co ho?”
Edward Thompson said with a smile, “I told you it’s a surprise, how could Viola contact us? Otherwise, there wouldn’t be a surprise, would there?”
“I think Bob makes a lot of sense.” Even Sawyer Thompson agreed with Edward Thompson’s words.
Hearing this, a flicker of hope reignited in Mary Perryne’s eyes, “Does that an Viola will be ho tonight?”
“It’s possible.” Sawyer Thompson nodded.
Mary Perryne imdiately turned and walked upstairs, “Then I’ll go change into a blue dress, Viola always says I look best in blue.”
Watching his wife’s back, Sawyer Thompson’s face was filled with concern.
If Viola doesn’t co back, how disappointed Mary will be!
At that thought, Sawyer Thompson sighed, “I really don’t know how your sister is doing now!”
The feeling of concern and worry was unbearable.
Especially since the person far away was his own flesh and blood.
Edward Thompson continued to reassure, “Dad, don’t worry needlessly, Viola will definitely be alright.”
“Okay.” Sawyer Thompson nodded.
After changing her clothes, Mary Perryne went to the doorway to wait for Viola.
She wore a blue down jacket, constantly looking into the distance, her eyes full of anticipation.
She stood there for over an hour.
Soon, the sky began to fill with thick snow.
Sawyer Thompson holding an umbrella ca from inside, “Mary, let’s go ho.”
Mary Perryne still looked into the distance, “I’m not going back, I’m waiting for Viola.”
Sawyer Thompson sighed helplessly, then said, “It’s the sa if you wait at ho. It’s so cold outside, what if you catch a cold?”
“No worries.” Mary Perryne didn’t even glance at Sawyer Thompson, “I’m not cold.”
Just the thought of her daughter soon being ho ward her entire being.
Sawyer Thompson holding the umbrella said, “Then I’ll wait with you for Viola to co ho.”
Another hour passed in the blink of an eye.
As darkness fell, there was still no sign of Viola returning. Edward Thompson and Samuel Thompson ca out to persuade their parents.
At that mont, a figure suddenly appeared in the snowy distance.
“Viola!” Mary Perryne was very excited.
Sawyer Thompson also looked in that direction, indeed he saw a figure, but it was too far to see the face, not knowing if it was Viola.
Samuel and Edward Thompson imdiately ran over.
“Viola!”
They were also very excited, not expecting Viola to actually co back.
But alas.
Only when they got closer did they realize it was not Viola but Mandel Thompson’s assistant, Crystal.
The joy in Samuel Thompson’s eyes instantly disappeared.
Edward Thompson also felt disappointed.
Seeing the two stopping halfway, Sawyer Thompson and Mary Perryne knew that it was not Viola.
Mary Perryne frowned slightly, “Why isn’t it Viola?”
A mont later, Mary Perryne looked up at Sawyer Thompson, “Do you think it’s because of the heavy snow today that Viola got stranded at the airport?”
Sawyer Thompson didn’t know how to answer Mary Perryne.
Viola Thompson couldn’t get in touch with her family due to her work in the Laboratory, he could understand.
After all, sotis you have to sacrifice the small family to save the big family.
Without soone bearing the burden moving forward, there would be no sun and brightness.
But from a father’s perspective, being unable to reach ho and reunite with family for the New Year because of work, it made him very sad.
He would rather have his daughter lead an ordinary life, just be ordinary.
Samuel Thompson and Edward Thompson realized they had mistaken soone else for her, and could only turn back.
Edward Thompson sighed and said in a low voice, “It seems like our little sister is not coming back for the New Year.”
Samuel Thompson said, “If little sister really doesn’t co back, our family won’t be able to celebrate the New Year!”
Just then, in the previously quiet snowy night, a familiar voice suddenly rang out.
“Second brother, younger brother.”
Hearing this, the brothers thought they were hallucinating, they looked at each other, and saw disbelief in each other’s eyes.
This.
Is this Viola’s voice?
Before the brothers could react, the familiar voice sounded again.
“Second brother, younger brother?” This ti, the familiar voice clearly carried so confusion.
The brothers imdiately turned around.
Indeed.
The next second they saw a familiar figure.
The girl was wearing a pink down jacket, donned a fluffy hat, black snow boots, smiling warmly their way, with rosy lips and white teeth like a little princess who had just stepped out of a fairy tale.
“Little sister!”
Samuel Thompson and Edward Thompson imdiately rushed over.
The three siblings hugged each other tightly.
“Little sister, you’re back!”
Samuel Thompson cried out in excitent.
Viola Thompson smiled and said, “Of course I have to co back for the New Year, I didn’t contact you guys because I wanted to give you a surprise!”
Edward Thompson, with teary eyes, said, “It really is a surprise. Mom and Dad will be so happy to see you! Let’s hurry up!”
The brothers took Viola Thompson’s suitcase and small backpack, standing on either side of her, following her towards the doorway.
Seeing the trio walking back, Mary Perryne was stunned; she turned to Sawyer Thompson who was on a phone call, “Walter! Walter! Look, isn’t that Viola back?”
Sawyer Thompson glanced over and was also stunned; he imdiately said to the person on the phone, “Sorry, President He, my daughter is back!”
With that, he hung up the phone!
“Viola!”
Seeing her mother, Viola Thompson sprinted over and hugged Mary Perryne tightly, “Mom, I missed you so much.”
Mary Perryne cried and said, “Viola! Why didn’t you stay in touch all these days? Do you know how worried Mom was?”
Hearing these words, Viola Thompson felt a bit uneasy.
She realized that she had dedicated too much ti to her work.
Desiring quietness while the winds never stop, children wanting to provide care but parents are not always there; it seems she needs to devote more ti to spend with her parents in the future.
“Mom, I was wrong, I promise I won’t do it again.”
Mary Perryne wiped her tears, released Viola Thompson, and looked her over carefully, “You’ve lost weight!”
“Not at all,” Viola Thompson laughed and said, “Mom, look, my legs have gotten thicker!”
In a mother’s eyes, the daughter is always thinnest.
A mont later, Viola Thompson voluntarily hugged Sawyer Thompson, “Dad, I missed you too.”
Sawyer Thompson initially felt numb, but being hugged by his daughter like this, his eyes instantly reddened, “It’s good to have you back, good to have you back.”
Mandel Thompson, who was on a business trip in a nearby city: It seed that the parents had forgotten his existence.
The family of four joyfully entered the house.
Mary Perryne smiled and said, “Let’s prepare hotpot for dinner tonight? I’ll ask Walter to get it ready, Viola, what do you think?”
Hearing this, Viola Thompson smiled and said, “Sure, I haven’t had hotpot in a long ti.”
And hotpot is perfect to have on a day of reunion.
