*Leo*

“Don’t worry, leave it to boss,” Franky said, nodding his head.

Franky assured he’d take care of the plan we had just co up with to distract Michael while I was gone. Unfortunately, we had to co up with sothing rather quickly and wasn’t exactly as foolproof as I would have liked it to be.

“Michael will have no idea you’ve left town,” he continued.

“I’m not just leaving town, Franky,” I stared, worry heavily saturating my words. “I’m leaving the country. So, if sothing happens, it would take hours to get back here.”

Franky patted on the shoulder. “Leo, we can handle this. You go get your girl.”

I nodded and inhaled deeply. “Thank you, Franky.”

“Hey, when you find the one you’re crazy about, you can’t let her go,” he replied, smiling.

I returned his smile. “I don’t plan on being gone long.”

“Just bring her ho, boss. I promise to keep him busy for as long as I possibly can. I’ll call you if anything cos up,” he said, pushing towards the entry door of the warehouse.

“Yeah,” I replied, still feeling unsure about leaving all this ss on Franky’s shoulders.

“Get out of here,” he said as we stood in the doorway. “Your jet is supposed to leave in an hour, yeah?”

I nodded. “Seriously, Franky. Call for anything. Even if it’s small.”

“I will, alright?” He said in a final voice. “Now get out of here.”

“All right,” I nodded my understanding. “Thank you, again.”

He nodded and closed the door before I could say anything else. I walked over to my car and quickly climbed inside. There was only one thing I could focus on now. Bianca.

It didn’t take long for to pull up in front of my private jet. The pilot was already waiting inside for . Once I got settled in my seat, he announced to buckle up as we would be taking off in just a few monts.

The entire ti I was in the air, I couldn’t sleep a wink. My eyes remained opened while my mind raced. I didn’t exactly have a plan to win Bianca back. This had all been rather spontaneous.

But what else could I have done? I couldn’t just let her go. Let her believe I didn’t love her enough to fight for her.

I pulled her locket from out of my front pants pocket and stared at it carefully. My thumb caressed the warm gold tal as I thought about the night I had given it to her. Without thinking, my head shook softly.

The truth was, I hadn’t been the best boyfriend. I knew that. She, obviously, knew that. I had been so focused on ending Michael’s reign of terror, ending his life, that I shafully admit, I neglected her.

I felt terrible. Could I really be surprised that she left ? If I had really thought about it, no. I couldn’t bla her for wanting to be around her family where she felt loved and secure. My heart filled with pain having known I had failed to make her feel that way.

I don’t bla her for leaving. Hell, I don’t even bla her for sneaking away while I was gone. I wasn’t mad. I wasn’t bitter. All I truly wanted was to apologize and make her mine again. I wanted to prove my love to her. Plan or not, that was exactly what I was going to do.

Finally, the jet landed. When I walked out, I was welcod with a winter’s kiss. The chill in the cold air seeped into my bones. I zipped my coat up to my chin, but realized I was going to need sothing warr.

My bodyguards flanked as we made our way towards a small black Italian car. We piled inside and the driver asked where we were headed to.

Shit.

I had no idea where exactly Bianca’s childhood ho resided. She had only ever ntioned that she had lived in a small town outside of Florence. However, I knew a couple people who would know where she lived.

I gave the address to the driver and off we went. It took about twenty minutes before we arrived in front of the gated mansion.

Snow had begun to cover everything in sight.

A small cara with a microphone box stood on the side of the driveway just before the gate. I stuck my head out the window along with my hand and pressed the tiny black button.

“Alessandro, it’s Leo. Will you let in, please?” I asked the tal box.

Only silence answered .

I looked back and forth between my bodyguards. They both shrugged being unhelpful as ever.

My bright red finger held the button in, again.

“Alessandro? Mia?” I spoke into the snow-covered tal box.

Suddenly, the gate began to open. I stuck my head back into the window and the driver continued to drive past the gate. I had to admit, I was worried they weren’t going to let in for a mont. Though, I wasn’t entirely sure why they wouldn’t. Unless Mia had still been upset with .

Yeah. That was probably it. Mia must still be mad at for failing to protect Bianca in a tily manner. She was the one who had sent Taylor to the states after all.

The car stopped in front of the large double doored entrance. Quickly, I jumped out and told the driver to wait there, along with my two bodyguards.

I threw my hand into my pocket as I walked up to the large wooden doors. My free hand knocked three tis, rather loudly. After a mont, the door swung wide open, revealing Mia.

Shit. I was hoping to see Alessandro.

“Mia, hi. Thank you for letting in,” I greeted her.

She gave a small smile. “Alessandro said I had to.”

I nodded my head. “Oh. All right. Well, can I co in to see Alessandro, then?”

“He’s busy,” she replied, curtly.

“Mia, please. I am begging you to give Bianca’s address. I’m here to get her back,” I pleaded.

“She ca ho to get away from you, Leo. Give her the space she needs,” Mia tried to counter.

I shook my head. “She needs to know I love her and that I am not going to let her go without a fight.”

“Leo, a fight is the last thing she needs,” she replied, coldly.

Mia rested her hands on her hips as she sported an annoyed expression on her face.

“Mia, co on. You know I don’t an a literal fight,” I spoke, quickly. “I ca all the way here, didn’t I? I need to see her.”

She sighed. “Fine. But I’m only doing this for her.”

“Thank you!” I exclaid. “Thank you, Mia, seriously.”

Mia disappeared and soon ca back with a piece of paper with Bianca’s address written on it. She handed it to , but held it firmly in her hands as I tried to take it from her.

“You better not make regret this, Leo. I am only giving this to you because I want my cousin happy. If you break her heart again, you better believe I will ensure Alessandro will break sothing on you,” she warned with dark eyes.

“I completely understand, Mia,” I nodded my head.

She finally let go of the paper. I looked at it quickly and thanked her again. My feet had begun to race to the car before I could hear her speak again.

“Leo, I have to warn you!” she shouted. “A lot of the roads are going to be closed due to the flood of tourists that have been rolling in for the holidays. And not to ntion the blizzard that is coming in right now.”

Mia stuck out her arms, pointing towards the heavy snow that continued to fall down all around us.

“I’ll figure it out!” I yelled back excitedly as I jumped into the car.

“Here,” I said, shoving the piece of paper at the driver. “We need to hurry.”

“On these snowy roads?” The driver questioned, rather condescendingly. “We’ll get there when we get there.”

I rolled my eyes and sat back in my seat. Suddenly, I started feeling nervous. My mont was almost here. I had been so close now to seeing Bianca and I felt like I could explode with anticipation.

However, it turned out that Mia had been correct. Quite a few of the main roads were closed, causing us to turn down so extrely skinny alleyways stuffed with hordes of people. Eventually, we stopped moving altogether.

Irritated, I got out of the car and looked around the small town. Then, I saw it. My way out.

Without warning, I started to run down the road, in between cars and crowds of people. When I reached the horse-drawn carriage, I imdiately spoke to the man riding the horse.

“I will give you all the cash in my wallet if I can borrow this horse thing you’ve got going on,” I told him quickly, pulling out my wallet.

The man shrugged. “How much ya got? I make pretty good money around this ti of year with all the tourists wanting romantic rides around the town.”

I shoved the equivalent of a thousand dollars in his face.

“Will this do?” I asked with eyebrows raised.

A wide smile spread across the man’s face. “Hell yeah.”

He jumped down from the horse, staring at the cash in his hands. I hurried to climb onto the horse.

As the horse began to walk, the man yelled out.

“I’ll co back for it in a few days!”

“Thank you!” I shouted back.

I tried to direct the horse in the direction of Bianca’s house. When I looked behind , I saw my two bodyguards standing amongst the crowd of people looking confused. One of my hands had dropped the reigns of the horse to shoo them back in the direction of the car. I had hoped they would get the idea to get back in the car and et at Bianca’s once they could get back on the road.

The horse started to drift off to the side and I quickly picked the reigns back up with both hands. I had to admit, I had no fucking idea how to drive a carriage or steer a horse. At this point, I had just been winging it.

Finally, I was getting close to Bianca’s house. I managed to turn the horse around the corner and onto her road. My nerves started to surface just as her house appeared in sight.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do with the horse once I got there, but I figured I’d deal with that after I talked to Bianca. Winning her back was the only thing that mattered in this mont. I couldn’t be sure if she’d accept my grand gesture, but I had to at least try.
