The people looked around and pointed at one young woman. "I... I am the accountant," she said. "I- I deal with most of the things."

"What is your na?" Nova asked the trembling girl.

"He-Herri," the girl said.

"Herri!" Nova said with a smile. "Please pick it up."

"Wh-what?" Herri asked with a bit of confusion when suddenly her wristwatch started vibrating as if soone was calling her.

"Pick it up!" Nova said.

Herri quickly nodded and picked up the phone. She looked at the person on the other side who waved at her. Herri wasn’t sure what to do, but she waved as well.

"That is my subordinate Vera. You will tell her everything about the sorts of businesses you do here, and that will be sent to . Understood?"

"Y-Yes!" Herri said.

"If it is clear, then I shall leave you all," Nova said. "Sobody clean this up and get back to work."

Nova walked away without a single fear in her heart that she would be struck from behind. Sol turned next and then Fred.

Stanley was the last to turn around. He was still quite shocked at what had just happened here.

It hadn’t even been a minute since they ca here and sohow the three of them had just taken over a gang so easily. That surely wasn’t correct, right?

What was more surprising was how quickly Nova had killed the man without a single thought at all. She had probably been planning this for a while, but... that still ca off as quite cold to Stanley.

He had never expected to see soone die without being able to fight back.

’Why am I forgetting these people are criminals?’ Stanley thought before sighing internally. Sticking with these people, he was sure he was bound to see a lot more of such random deaths.

’I’m sure he wasn’t a good guy, but I wish they told what he did so I wouldn’t feel bad for the guy,’ Stanley thought and sighed.

"What are you doing? Hurry up!" Nova said after seeing Stanley lag behind a bit.

"Sorry," Stanley said. "Just a little shocked. I didn’t expect the eting to go so quickly."

"It was supposed to go like that," Nova said. "That gang can’t even be called a gang if you ask . They are more so petty criminals trying to act like gangsters. I’m sure we’ll et real gangsters in a few days."

Stanley said nothing and followed. Just as they were reaching back to their place, Nova turned toward Sol.

"Go get him the new account. He needs sowhere to keep his new inco," she said.

"Sure," Sol said before turning to Stanley. "Let’s go."

Stanley nodded and walked with Sol. He looked around the city, staring at the various people and buildings there. They also stared at the cars that ca by.

Most of them were dirty and old looking, but once in a while, a clean car would co around, surprising Stanley.

"What’s with the good cars? I’m surprised they don’t get stolen in a place like this," Stanley said.

"People here know not to ss with folks that drive expensive cars," Sol said. "Expensive car ans one of two things. It’s soone from outside the city that is not afraid of the people of the Low. Or it’s one of the criminals in the Low with enough power to afford expensive cars."

"Either way, if you touch them, you would have to be ready for hell to break loose on you," Sol said. "Not worth it in the least."

"I see," Stanley said, looking at a clean car that rode past.

"Don’t look at them," Sol said. "If you see cars like that, ignore them. They usually an trouble if you don’t."

"Oh, okay," Stanley said.

After going past a few blocks, and turning a corner or two, Sol brought Stanley to a house with graffiti covering the outside of it.

Stanley looked at the house for a mont and followed behind Sol.

The house looked as rundown inside as it did on the outside. There were broken walls on one side with people inside huddled in groups.

Stanley could see thin people with barely any mass on their bodies, out of their minds, smoking away any understanding of real life they had.

He saw guns lying around, next to syringes that they used to give themselves so drugs. He was surprised to see just how many drug addicts there were.

Seeing them reminded him of the drug addicts back in the slum that littered the ground. He rembered a drug addict that—

’Damn! Just how comprehensive are these mories? Are these all really in my brain?’ Stanley thought. Every ti he rembered mories from ’John’, he was only more surprised at how powerful Jason’s ability was.

If he wished for it, he could most likely rewrite a person’s entire history in his mind, filling it all with fake mories to make them act a certain way.

He wondered what problem there was that stopped him from working that way. ’Maybe he needs consent for that to work,’ Stanley thought.

"Up here," Sol said. "Dammit! Why is it so dark? I can barely see."

Stanley looked up front and the pathway was bright enough. It was just Sol that couldn’t see.

Stanley was about to show him the way when Sol brought out a bright flashlight and showed himself the way up the stairway.

Stanley followed him, going 3 floors up before stopping. Before walking into the hallway, Sol turned to Stanley. "Don’t speak when we’re in there. The man is a little sensitive and will refuse to work if you look the slightest bit suspicious."

Stanley nodded with a curious face.

Sol walked up to a room at the end of the corridor and knocked on it. Stanley walked and waited next to him.

Then, he heard a voice coming from the room. Or rather than a voice, it was a sound. A sound of a man and woman together.
