"Sheila’s told a few things," Reena said. "She says you have no idea about technology. Is that true?"

"We only had a single bulb hung by a wire in our houses. Most of these glowing things are very foreign to ," Stanley said.

"I can’t even imagine how boring your life must’ve been. We’ll have to deal with that later. First, let’s get you registered."

Reena took Stanley inside to the registration area where a single person was sitting with a very bored look on his face. The young man quickly beca attentive when the two of them ca in.

"Reena!" the young boy cried out.

He was younger than Stanley, shorter than him, with short hair and a small face. He was definitely no older than 14. That surprised Stanley as he was the first young person he had seen in this place.

Reena said sothing to the young man and the young man brought out sothing. Reena showed it to Stanley and said, "This is a chip that we insert into the base of every agent’s skull. It helps us track their location as well as their vitals and it also helps dupe your brain into thinking it knows a language when it doesn’t."

Stanley was a little taken aback. "There’s sothing like that?" he asked.

"Turn around, it will hurt a bit," she said.

Stanley hesitated but turned around in the end. He waited for a bit and suddenly felt sothing sharp go into the back of his neck the next second. He got no warning from this, making him wonder if it was because it wasn’t dangerous, or because he was expecting it to happen.

"How is it? Good?" Reena asked.

"How do I tell?" Stanley asked.

Reena suddenly said sothing that Stanley knew was not the language he knew based on her lip movent, but he sohow understood it. "I got that!"

"Good," Reena said. "Now, we can start your registration properly." She finally turned to the young kid that was watching it all happen.

"This is Cal, full na Caleb and is the smartest person in the association when it cos to tech-related stuff. If you ever have so problems with technology, you can co to him," Reena said.

"Hi," the young man quickly waved at Stanley.

Stanley waved back as well, a little awkwardly, however.

"Open up the registration, we have a new recruit," Reena said.

The young man quickly looked toward the screen and pressed a few things. "I’m ready," he said. "You can scan him at any ti."

Reena nodded. "Co, stand on this platform," she asked Stanley.

Stanley nodded and walked to a small tal platform. He stood steady as per the instructions and soon lights fell all upon him. When the lights vanished, Reena gave him the gesture to walk out.

"Wait," Caleb said. "Sothing’s wrong. His DNA read is showing invalid. Redo the scan."

"No, the scan is correct," Reena said. "There is no information on him in any database. We’re doing this the old-fashioned way."

"Oh," the young man was a little surprised and once again did sothing. "We’ll have to fill this form ourselves then. Let’s start with the na."

Reena looked toward Stanley.

"Stanley," Stanley quickly answered. "Stanley Reed."

"Age?" Caleb asked.

"Uhh... 17, no 18," Stanley said.

"Place of birth?" Caleb asked the next question.

"Eylish," Stanley answered.

Caleb turned and looked at him with a glare. "Do you an Eyland?" he asked. "Eylish is a language."

"Uhh... yes, that. Not Eylish," Stanley gave a slightly embarrassed look.

"And the city?" the young man asked.

Stanley shook his head.

"Not a nad one, so we can let it be," Reena said. "Scoot over."

She sat next to the young man and looked at the docunts on the screen. "Right, your powers. Given your position, you are going to be one of two kinds of agents."

"First, the kind that gathers information on the target. Second, the one that goes and gets rid of the target."

"We need to decide which one you are," Reena said.

"I should be the latter one," Stanley said. "Do I have to tell you my powers?"

"No," Reena said. "We’ll leave this one blank for now. You’ll go through a month of training after which we’ll figure out what to do with you."

"A month?" Stanley couldn’t help but ask. He wondered what would happen to Raven at that ti. Would she figure out where he was? Would she go and hide from him forever?

Reena’s hand on his shoulder got him out of his stupor. "Co, it’ll take a few hours to get the things ready. You can rest for that ti," she said and called Stanley out.

Stanley quickly walked away with Reena as she walked across the bridge that led to the rooms scattered across the walls of the mountain. After a bit of going around, she ca across a room that was empty.

"This will be your room from now on," she said. "Open it."

Stanley turned and looked toward the door. "How?" he asked. The door was made up of a single sheet of tal with not any handles anywhere. He tried pushing, but that didn’t work either.

"Place your palm here," Reena showed the side of the door and Stanley followed. He was surprised when the wall glowed a little. Then, the door receded a bit inward and was finally able to be pushed open.

Reena walked in first. "There’s a bed there, a closet for your clothes there, a bathroom there. You have access to almost all the information in the world, just at your voice. You should learn what you can from there for now," she said.

Stanley looked at her curiously.

"Hey room, can you show the weather in Starhall?" Reen asked.

Suddenly, a rectangular hologram appeared in the air behind Renna, showing a clear picture of the city that Stanley had passed just a while ago.

"See? Just ask the room for anything and it will show you. You should learn how to use technology with it at so point too," she said. "For now, I’ll leave.
