Poison flooded into Fierce Breaker as the humanoid Demon glared at him with a severe expression. Even though Fierce Breaker was divulging important information, the humanoid Demon felt like it was losing control over the situation, which sounded unbelievable.

It had Fierce Breaker in its grasp. It could even stop him from killing himself... probably.

And yet, it felt like Fierce Breaker was gaining the upper hand.

"You think," Fierce Breaker said with difficulty, "the poison can... stop me?!"

The humanoid Demon glared at Fierce Breaker without saying anything.

"You want knowledge!" Fierce Breaker shouted, his voice hoarse with aggression and strain. "I'll give you knowledge!"

The humanoid Demon didn't show it, but it had a bad premonition. It felt like it was not supposed to let Fierce Breaker continue talking.

An instant later, the humanoid Demon appeared directly in front of Fierce Breaker and put its hand on Fierce Breaker's head. Within a moment, Fierce Breaker lost consciousness.

The humanoid Demon looked at Fierce Breaker's unconscious head with narrowed eyes.

Now what?

It couldn't access Fierce Breaker's Soul Space. Without explicit permission of the owner, a Soul Space couldn't be accessed. This meant the humanoid Demon couldn't verify Fierce Breaker's claim.

That only left three paths: Awaken him, keep him unconscious, and kill him.

Yet, all three options wouldn't produce any good results. Killing or keeping him unconscious would get rid of the most important source of information they had. Awakening him would just lead to the same situation as before.

Usually, the humanoid Demon could control what people said with the poison, but Fierce Breaker's willpower was unusually resilient.

The humanoid Demon considered killing Fierce Breaker and searching for a different member of the group. Sadly, the chances of success were limited. It had no idea where the other members could possibly be. There was a realistic chance that they would never find them.

It thought about calling the other leaders, but that was also risky. If Fierce Breaker actually had access to dangerous information, inviting more Demons would only make things worse.

The humanoid Demon even considered alerting the Overseer, but that might be even worse. Fierce Breaker had already revealed something terrifying by talking about the actual World Wall and its immense resilience.

As a Demon, the humanoid Demon's highest priority was its own growth and survival. When it imagined the scene of it telling the Overseer about the World Wall...

Things wouldn't end well.

The humanoid Demon deliberated its decision many times, but no matter how much it thought about it, there didn't seem to be a correct answer. It had to make a choice, and all of them seemed problematic.

In the end, the humanoid Demon pulled its hand back, and Fierce Breaker regained consciousness.

"Now what?" Fierce Breaker asked with a sneer. "What will you do now?"

The humanoid Demon felt something it hadn't felt in a very long time. It felt like it was in a True Battle. Forgotten emotions of anger and uncertainty reappeared.

"What's your goal?" the humanoid Demon asked.

"Change!" Fierce Breaker shouted. "Ayuvar has been stuck in this endless cycle for hundreds of millions of years! I can't bet everything on another person's actions! If I can change something, I will do it myself!"

"The only way to change the situation is by removing the Overseer, but that doesn't mean that they have to die! They can also hand over their position or ascend. My goal is to push reality closer to all three of these possibilities."

"So, what is it? What's your choice?!" Fierce Breaker asked with a shout.

The humanoid Demon's mind went through countless eventualities as it realized that regaining control had bee almost impossible.

There was a chance that Fierce Breaker was just bluffing and that he had no way to kill himself. It was possible that he was saying all of these things to get the humanoid Demon to kill him. If the humanoid Demon actually killed him, it would have lost the most important source of information in the entire world. No one had ever managed to kill themselves during the interrogation. The chances that Fierce Breaker could do that were extremely low.

Assuming Fierce Breaker could actually end his own life, why was he divulging so much information? Fierce Breaker knew that he was already dead. As far as the humanoid Demon knew, the people from the Supreme World had a plan. Fierce Breaker had said many things, but what was the truth?

Assuming Fierce Breaker wanted to take revenge on the people who had brought him into his current situation, why wasn't he talking about their locations? When the humanoid Demon had asked about the status of every member, Fierce Breaker had changed the topic. This had been the perfect opportunity to take revenge.

Assuming Fierce Breaker still believed in the plan, why hadn't Psychosis Manifestation said these things? Had something changed? Additionally, what could the group possibly gain by revealing such sensitive information?

Assuming Fierce Breaker spoke the truth... that was the worst one. In that case, Fierce Breaker actually had information that was better kept hidden from the world.

"What's it gonna be?!" Fierce Breaker shouted. "Tell me! Will you kill me or let me talk?!"

Fierce Breaker's words made the situation even more plex for the humanoid Demon. Fierce Breaker had worded it like an empty threat. Instead of just sharing the information, he had asked the humanoid Demon to make a choice. This made it seem like he was actually bluffing.

However, creating such a plan wasn't difficult. It was just as likely that Fierce Breaker had worded it like that, fully expecting the humanoid Demon to call the bluff. This would reduce the chance of the humanoid Demon interrupting Fierce Breaker since its earlier choice would reaffirm its faith in its decision.

"You may share your information," the humanoid Demon said with a calm voice. "I will be the only holder of your secrets."

Fierce Breaker sneered. "And what makes you so sure of that?" he asked with disdain. "Do you know what an Overseer can do? If I loudly scream for the Overseer, do you think they won't hear me? Do they always see everything and just ignore it, or do they actively have to focus to look at the world? Can I gain their attention or not?"

"Am I bluffing?!"

The humanoid Demon's eyes were intense, and its body was taut.

This mere Spirit Lord!

This mere head!

How could this weak and helpless being elicit feelings of threat and danger in the humanoid Demon?!

What if, but what if, but then, but what...!

What was the right choice?!

Was he bluffing?!

Could the Overseer see everything?!

Kill Fierce Breaker?!

Bury the investigation and forget it ever happened?!

But that still left the group from the Supreme World!

There was no right choice!

It was a gamble!

The group was a threat to the Demons! They had to be!

Fierce Breaker was a potentially even greater threat, but only potentially! He could be bluffing!

Two threats!

Dealing with either one would make it harder to stop the other one!

And that was when the Demon realized something.

Yet, the humanoid Demon wasn't the only one witnessing something surprising.

While this was going on, Star Genesis and Sebastian watched something in terror.
