RRRRRR!

RARRRRRR!

RARRRRR!

The silence soon transferred into a cacophony of growls and shuffling footsteps, as soon, a large number of zombies had crowded the crashed van.

Drawn by the sll of blood, they tried to break in. With a large number of these terrors around, it would take them nothing to break through... All that was required was a little ti, and soon it might be to late for the unconscious or perhaps probably dead youngsters who were lying upside them inside the van.

...

"Ohh...!"

Ethan suddenly woke up, gasping for air at the very second.

"Argh... Why does my head hurt so badly?" He asked himself, and soon he soon discovered the answer after noticing that he was on an upside position.

Ethan was taken aback.

He rembered that the van hit sothing, and the before they could realise it, they were tumbling towards God knows where.

Now, everyone was unconscious, and...

RRRRRR!

"Zombies."

The mont Ethan grasped the situation they were in, he quickly charged up and rushed towards Nina, who was sitting right next to him.

"Hey, Nina..."

With just a single tap, the military cadet opened her eyes, and she froze the mont her had a glance of the image.

"Zombies. They’ve surrounded us. We have to get out now," Ethan said to her as he quickly rushed to the rest of them.

They all woke up to see their death before their eyes, as at that ti, the zombies already started trying to break through.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

BAM! BAM! BAM!

"Oh my God. Are we going to die?"

One of the new girls rescued from Lance’s base asked as she shivered in panic. She had already gone through much to her up dying in the end, and aside that, getting devoured by a zombie was the scariest death possible.

No one wanted to experience it.

"I need to get to my family. Please, save us Ethan. Please!" Another girl said.

"Everybody stay calm. We are going to get out of here alive, okay?" Ethan responded.

He could swear that he didn’t exactly know how, but he just couldn’t say anything aside from that, right?

It was all about finding a way. A way to get out of this ss, alive and strive to get his Core Mission completely done.

Ethan went straight to activating his Identifier Skill, which could enable him to see the levels of the zombies around them.

[Boyfriend Skill Identifier Activated!]

[Zombies level analysis.]

[Level 1 Zombies: 33.]

[Level 2 Zombies: 17.]

[Level 3 Zombies: 5.]

There was no sign of a Level 4 zombie because if there is really one, it could have attacked with a weapon. The Identifier Skill already showed it all after all...

At least, this had made Ethan believe that getting out wouldn’t be as hell as having to do it when there’s a Level 3 around.

Although Ethan has never faced a Level 4 Zombie before, that doesn’t an he didn’t know how strong and aggressive it could be.

"Okay guys... You’d have to step back, while the ones with the guns opens the way. We need to clear the path before rest of you can step out."

They all nodded, and Eva and her partners didn’t waste ti. Nina was present too, and together, they bashed the already broken windows.

Gunshots rained right after.

The zombies trying to break through began to see their end, and the once shuffling from behind? They were not left out of the party.

Every single threat was taken down, and soon the path was already cleared.

The rest of the group stepped out after the job was completely done, and Ethan was to decide where to head next.

He turned South and saw the burning city ahead, and then East, where they were actually heading to before they crashed.

It wasn’t looking good as well...

He then turned North, and the first thing that ca to his mind was...

Ho.

Atlanta.

At this point maybe it could be the safest place they could think of, so he turned to them.

"If I’m right, I believe all our families live in Atlanta, right?"

Fortunately for him, they all nodded.

"Great. Since we all want to et our families. Then we head to Atlanta," Ethan said.

"How are you sure we can get there safely? Atlanta is a city of the dead right now. Even if you make it there, that’s where you will die," Nina suddenly objected.

There was no lie in that fact that she was the only one who had seen the outside world after the disaster, and she was only trying to tell them about the kind of risk they were going to take.

Ethan understood that.

But that doesn’t justify leaving their families.

What if Eva and mom were worried about him?

What if the bomb blast in Western Gibson gives them a vital reason to go in search of him?

And to make his thoughts even uglier, what if they already even ca looking for him and perhaps, they were amongst the parents the system talked about?

Ethan had to snap out of those thoughts. He didn’t want to continue putting himself in fear.

He had to believe that they were ho, alive and waiting for him to get back.

"Atlanta is our ho, no matter what. And we need to get to our families. I believe, soway or sohow, so of the survivors are in a safe place. A refuge or camp... Sowhere safe," Ethan said.

"We just have to get there," he then added.

It was clear that the rest of them agreed with him, and soon, they set up for their journey ahead.

The van was already destroyed, so they would have to continue their journey on foot, even though they knew it was going to take up to a hundred kilotres to get there.

They just hope they would find a vehicle sowhere, because of they don’t, it was going to be hell of a journey.

While Ethan was walking alone in front, he flinched when the system sounded, and the interface suddenly appeared in front of him.

What could it be?

Of course he f**king knew!
