Lin i nodded, “You are right.”
Looking at Lin Lan, Lin i found that her sister had really beco different from how she behaved before. Maybe the repeated attempts to threaten others with her death had managed to have her man return ho. And in doing so, under Han Qingsong’s care, she had also co to change a lot. At any rate, no matter what, she felt that Lin Lan knew a lot more than she did before.
There were no more superficial comparisons between their qualities of food and clothing from her much brighter eyes. Plus, she no longer cursed all the ti and abused her own emotional being. Now, her smile was warm, her eyes were clear and all she thought about was how to make sure her children and her husband could live a better life.
That would be great!
When they reached the river, Lin Lan stopped nagging. Lin i was a smart person, so a small reminder was sufficient enough without the need to keep pestering.
Several children could be seen playing in the river. Sanwang was chased by the big white goose as he wished whereas the other children cheered him on.
Now, Sanwang was able to swim faster than the large goose and his ability to hold his breath underwater was genuinely impressive.
Haonan and Sanwang were now under the care of Dawang. The forr was especially swimming excitedly in the shallow water cheerfully without any of his previous willfulness and constant need to be pampered.
It’s only been a few days?
Lin i was stunned— was this her son?
At this ti, Dawang saw Lin Lan and Lin i before he waved to them. Then, he said sothing to his siblings as he took Xiaowang and Haonan ashore.
Maisui was washing her clothes by the river. When she saw her mother and her aunt, she got up quickly and said happily, “Third Aunt is here.”
The children went ashore and greeted Lin i.
Sanwang waved to the geese in the river, “Bye bye, don’t chase anymore, I’m heading up.”
Haonan was nude as Maisui wiped him down. Then, she let him put on his shorts and singlet by himself.
Haonan was very excited, “Mom, I was playing with the geese.”
Lin i smiled and touched his head, “Good boy, was it fun at Fourth Aunt’s house?”
“It’s fun! Fourth Aunt is fun!” Haonan addressed Lin Lan clearly.
Lin Lan, “Oh, you finally called right.”
Haonan secretly glanced at Dawang. In the evening, every other child besides the eldest had spent a long ti trying to teach Haonan properly, but the latter was still unable to pronounce things correctly.
Dawang was annoyed by his pace of learning and glared at them directly, “If you don’t address my mother properly, you are not allowed to play.”
Everyone was going to find cicada larvaes to catch and even go for a swim. Not bringing him when he knew how fun it could be would be preposterous!
Perhaps due to his anxiousness, he called out Fourth Aunt properly and clearly.
It was obvious that he was spoiled to this extent and it wasn’t a matter of a physical disability. Despite still not being able to pronounce words as accurately as he was expected of his age, he still managed to say Fourth Aunt, Elder Brother and Xiaowang correctly.
Lin i was so moved that she cried and hugged Haonan.
Xiaowang, “Little Third Bwother(1), why is Third Aunt crying?”
(T/N: This was the English equivalent of how Haonan was pronouncing his words all along. The siblings are just mocking and annoying Dawang at this point)
