Yes.

The distinguished Highness was soon going to arrive at Orn City.

Under normal circumstances, such public opinion was easy to manage, for the local news agencies were partly owned by the Church.

But tis had changed.

Once this guy here decided to spread unfavorable news during the stay of the Second Prince in Orn City, the consequences for himself could be disastrous.

Thinking this, Moselle suddenly stopped, his expression changing uncertainly as he fell into an unprecedented silence.

Seeing this, Lynn did not urge him on, but simply played with the gun in his hand with a snicker.

After a long while, Moselle slowly turned around.

"Let’s talk," he said, as if he had forgotten what he had just said, his brow furrowed, "I don’t think there are irreconcilable conflicts between us to reach a point of no return."

"You should know that it wasn’t who stripped the Divine-given factor from your body. Essentially, your enemies are only the headquarters and a few from the Mosgla family."

Moselle decided to compromise temporarily.

If he could concede a small portion of his wealth in exchange for their temporary ceasefire, it would be worthwhile.

"Nine hundred thousand."

Lynn opened with a steep demand.

Moselle imdiately responded, "Impossible... Besides, this isn’t a good place to negotiate. We should find another place to talk."

With that, he signaled with his hand, and two trusted subordinates imdiately ca over.

"Change places?" Lynn pondered for a mont and then nodded, "Fine, but I will decide the ti and the venue."

"I don’t trust people from your Heavenly Principle Church."

As if I could trust you!

Moselle thought coldly to himself, then shook his head.

"Right now, you are asking for money, so I have the right to decide all this."

He rejected Lynn’s proposal.

Honestly, Moselle was already harboring a strong intent to kill at this mont.

He decided to set up a deadly trap for the other party.

By getting rid of this nace completely, not only could he imdiately end all recent happenings, but he could also gain the friendship of the Mosgla family.

"Then there’s nothing to discuss."

Lynn looked very unperturbed, turning around to leave.

Seeing this, Moselle panicked.

After all, the initiative was entirely in the hands of the other party.

He hesitated for a mont, then clenched his teeth, "You decide the ti, I decide the place!"

Hearing this, Lynn stopped.

He seed to be wrestling with whether the deal was worthwhile.

After a mont, the young man with black hair and blue eyes turned back to Moselle and his two subordinates.

"Start with the venue."

Hearing this, Moselle sighed with relief, "It’s in the Church..."

He intended to set the venue inside the Church, as it was convenient with all his people around.

But looking at the vast ruins that had been burnt down, Moselle imdiately stopped speaking.

The Church was no longer suitable.

Where should it be, then?

A property of his own in Orn City?

No.

After all, it was inside the city, and if sothing went wrong and created a huge scene, it would be over.

If he wanted to seize the opportunity to kill him, it had to be sowhere under the Church’s jurisdiction, secretive, and seldom visited.

There was only one answer.

"The Samuel Bell Tower in the northern outskirts."

Moselle slowly stated.

Samuel was the first bishop of the Heavenly Principle Church in the Orn City congregation.

Years ago, to resist the onslaught of the Demon Clan, he led all the Transcendents of the Heavenly Principle Church outside Orn City to stand until death, ultimately dying heroically.

To honor him, people spontaneously built the Samuel Bell Tower where the heroes had died.

Not only that, but on this day every year, believers of the Heavenly Principle Church would gather to ring the bell and pray for the spirits of the heroes.

This was not an official ceremony organized by the church but a spontaneous act by the believers.

Over ti, the Samuel ceremony had gradually been passed down, no longer controlled by the clergy of the church.

However, because the location was remote, nobody usually went there.

Even if soone died inside the bell tower, it would go unnoticed.

That was why Moselle chose this place as the negotiation site.

"Okay," Lynn did not hesitate, then as if he just rembered sothing, "However, I recall that seven days from now is the day of the Samuel ceremony. Is it alright to choose that location?"

Are you still thinking about seven days from now?

Try to survive my hands first then.

Moselle’s heart was filled with cold laughter, but he maintained a normal expression on his face, "To reach a consensus, maybe just one evening tomorrow will be enough."

"Alright, let’s set the ti for tomorrow evening then," Lynn decided confidently, "I hope to see your sincerity then."

"You will see it."

Moselle replied indifferently.

Lynn nodded his head, then prepared to turn around and leave.

Just then, he suddenly stopped in his tracks, "Oh, one more thing."

"To prevent any unforeseen complications during the negotiations, only the two individuals behind you are allowed near the Samuel Bell Tower. Anyone else appears, and I will turn hostile at any mont."

"Okay."

Moselle agreed to his demand.

Rather, it was exactly what he wanted.

After that, Moselle watched Lynn leave the Heavenly Principle Church.

Looking at the gold coins scattered all around him and the ruins of the burned Heavenly Principle Church at the back, he took a deep breath.

If he could kill this main culprit, then everything would be worth it.

Even if it offended the Third Imperial Princess, as long as that granted him the protection of the Second Prince, he didn’t believe that woman would dare to kill him.

With that thought, Moselle decided to use the last bit of ti to plan thoroughly for the assassination.

"Do not speak of what just happened to anyone," he instructed his trusted subordinates, "Consider this plan a secret operation involving only the three of us."

"Also, have the n stationed at the Samuel Bell Tower pull back and give them the day off."

He still understood the principle that secrecy leads to success.

Being a Fourth Rank Transcendent himself, with two Third Rank subordinates and so powerful Sealed Objects from the church.

This lineup, unless a Fifth Rank Legend ca personally, even if the opposition was prepared, there would be no return.

That woman surely couldn’t assign a Legendary fighter as his bodyguard, right?

"Yes, Bishop."

After watching Bishop Samuel leave, the two subordinates began whispering to each other.

"Why do I rember... that the Samuel ceremony is not seven days later?"

One of the subordinates hesitated.

"Maybe you rembered wrong," the other seed unaware of any anomaly, "I also recall it’s in seven days."

"Besides, even the bishop didn’t say anything. This minor ceremony that the church never cares about, you better not worry about it too."

"Yes, indeed."

...

At this mont, inside a speeding carriage half a block away from the Heavenly Principle Church, Lynn slowly released the power of Lie Swallowing.

Having ascended to Second Rank, he was now able to influence Mid-rank Transcendents to so extent, making them believe his lies.

For example, muddling their mory of ti.

Of course, this was also because people like Moselle, being in high positions, had never really cared about this minor ceremony and thus did not rember the date.

Just a slight twist was enough to make them believe the words Lynn said.

Looking out of the carriage window at the street scenes, Lynn remained silent.

What he sought from the beginning was never money, but to destroy the faith in people’s hearts.

Everything was ready—he just needed the right opportunity.

(ps: There’s one more chapter of 3000 words coming, which I am writing right now. It will be published soon and will connect back to the return of the Imperial Princess, concluding this plot.)
