Capítulo 493: Chapter 259: I Really Like Seeing You Cry for

Her gaze turned to Hillena, who was lying on the ground, and a aningful smile appeared on her face, “What a beautiful vessel…”

“Don’t get any ideas about her.”

Lynn said in a low voice.

“Oh, don’t be nervous.” Morgana floated in front of Lynn, almost close enough to touch his face, “I’m just curious, do you really know what you’re doing? Once this ritual starts, there’s no turning back. Even I can’t predict what your beloved woman will beco.”

Lynn took a deep breath: “As long as I can save her.”

“Even if she hates you when she wakes up?” Morgana tilted her head, “Even if she becos a monster? Even if the Church hunts her to the ends of the earth?”

Every question was like a knife stabbing into Lynn’s heart. But he just resolutely repeated, “As long as I can save her.”

Morgana stared at him for a long ti, then suddenly burst into laughter: “Interesting! So interesting! Humans can always do the craziest things for love.”

She floated back above the heart, “Well then, let’s begin, little one.”

Of course, this little one referred to the Divine Tree, not Lynn.

The branches of the Divine Tree slowly drooped, forming an arch over Hillena: “Lynn, place the heart on her wound, and then recite this spell…”

A sequence of obscure and difficult language directly entered Lynn’s mind. He had never heard this language before, but strangely, he understood the aning of every syllable completely.

It was the language of the beginning of creation, the basic Law constituting the world.

With trembling hands, Lynn gently placed Morgana’s heart on Hillena’s bloody chest.

The mont the two made contact, a surge of powerful energy exploded from Hillena, throwing Lida and the Demon Clan girls to the ground.

“Hold on!” The voice of the Divine Tree remained clear amidst the energy storm, “Recite the spell!”

Lynn opened his mouth, and those ancient syllables surged from deep within his throat.

With each word he uttered, he felt a portion of his Life Force being drained away.

anwhile, Morgana’s heart began to sink slowly, gradually rging into Hillena’s body.

The black light and the Divine Tree’s green light intertwined, forming a strange scene.

Hillena’s body began to convulse violently, her mouth open wide, but unable to make any sound.

Lynn wanted to rush forward to hold Hillena, but was blocked by an invisible force.

He could only watch helplessly as she struggled in pain, as the heart disappeared little by little into her chest.

Suddenly, Hillena’s back arched, and a pair of pitch-black bone wings pierced through the skin from her shoulder blades, unfolding slowly.

Not only that, her originally fair skin turned a deep shade of dark purple like the night, flowing with starlike glimrs.

“Look, so beautiful.” Morgana’s phantom said in an enraptured voice, “My power is taking root within her.”

The spell had finished being recited, but Lynn could still feel the energy being continuously consud, his legs starting to weaken, and the scene in front of him beginning to blur.

“Co back, Hillena.” He called softly, “No matter what you beco.”

The light suddenly contracted, all rushing into Hillena’s body.

For a mont, the entire Morol City was enveloped in an eerie silence.

Then, a heartbeat.

Clear and strong.

Then the second beat, the third…

Hillena’s chest began to rise and fall rhythmically, the newly ford black wings trembling slightly. Light purple lines appeared on her skin, resembling so ancient totem, but they quickly vanished.

Lynn finally couldn’t hold on any longer and fell to his knees. He felt an unprecedented exhaustion, but was simultaneously filled with hope.

“Did it succeed?”

Lida crawled over, cautiously asking.

Before Lynn could answer, Hillena suddenly opened her eyes.

What kind of eyes were those—the originally pale golden pupils had now turned into a deep black, her gaze first confused, then gradually focusing on Lynn.

“Lynn…?” Her voice was sowhat hoarse, but it was indeed Hillena’s voice, “What happened to ?”

Lynn wanted to answer, but found himself too choked up to speak. He could only crawl forward and grasp Hillena’s hand tightly.

Hillena followed his gaze to her hand, then suddenly realized sothing.

She struggled to sit up, her black wings instinctively spreading to maintain balance.

When she saw the change in her own body, her purple pupils shrank sharply.

“What have I beco?” Her voice trembled.

Lynn said firmly, “You’ve survived, and that’s enough.”

Hillena raised her head, her gaze passing over Lynn to look behind him.

Lynn turned around following her line of sight, discovering Morgana’s phantom floating there with an amused smile.

“Welco to the new world, my companion.” Morgana said softly, “From today onward, you won’t belong to either side—neither human nor Demon—but don’t worry, you’ll grow to love this power.”

Fear flashed in Hillena’s eyes, but it was quickly replaced by determination. She took a deep breath, and the black wings folded slowly behind her.

“As long as my soul is mine.” She looked directly at Morgana’s phantom, “You will never truly possess .”

Morgana laughed, her laughter echoing through the world: “We shall see, my dear, we shall see…”

After speaking, her phantom gradually faded away, returning to the Demon Heart that had already fused with Hillena.
