Capítulo 1843: Chapter 1842: Luviya and the Twin Witches

Rain-Prayer Moon, 12th, Monday, 9:30 in the morning.

South Shore of Green Lake, Mikaela Ironworks City, caught in a whirlpool of disputes, is still in a semi-lockdown state. Police are traversing the streets and alleys, posting wanted notices and searching for suspicious individuals to display their loyalty to the Royal Family.

anwhile, at the North Shore of Green Lake City, though it’s shrouded again by a misty drizzle, it’s unexpectedly serene. The rain isn’t heavy, and pedestrians passing by the entrance of Green Lake Hotel walk swiftly, so even without umbrellas.

In the corner of the hotel’s first floor, a well-fed Mia lies drowsily on Shard’s lap, as Shard spreads the newspaper, gazing at the main headline reporting last night’s major news in the city across the lake—

“Princess Margaret Assassinated!”

The incident occurred around nine last night, yet this morning’s paper featured detailed news coverage and a black-and-white photo of the “Glass Cask Opera House” at night. The newspaper had evidently received orders.

Shard is currently holding the “Green Lake City Morning Post”, with the main headline detailing the assassination event, concluding that the investigation continues, and it’s suspected that “Drinor Restorationists” colluded with illegal cultists, attempting to disrupt diplomatic discussions between the two countries by assassinating the Princess.

As for “Drinor Restorationists”, Miss Galina had ntioned them to Shard while explaining the situation. It’s the na of the Duchy before the largest county-level administrative unit in southeast Carsonrick was established.

After reading the report, Shard picked up another newspaper from the table. The other newspaper was covered in Casenric Language, it was the largest circulation newspaper from the City of Glass, “Glassworkers’ Gazette”, specially bought from the Carsonrick Chamber of Comrce in the city by Mr. Soren Green early in the morning.

Of course, if it weren’t because the headquarters of the largest circulation newspaper at the Kingdom of Carsonrick level is in Velindale, wanting to get firsthand news over there would need so waiting. Actually, Shard should be holding the “Carsonrick Morning Post” now.
