Rhodes handed over another heavy bullet clip, Simon completed the loading, then proceeded with rapid-fire shooting this round.

He achieved an average score of 10.6 rings per five bullets.

Malin turned his head to look at Rhodes, who scratched his head sheepishly.

Turning around, Malin gestured to the Standard Bearer to have the farthest target at eight hundred yards set up.

Rhodes took out an extra-heavy bullet from the drawer.

Simon Haye loaded the ammunition and, looking at the distant target, a smile appeared on his face: "I can see the target very clearly through the scope, indeed it’s a fine piece of equipnt, Lord Malin."

Malin smiled and said, "Begin shooting, Simon."

In response, Simon fired five bullets in eight seconds.

Four scored 10.9 rings, and the first bullet scored 10.7 rings.

This Mr. Simon Haye has an exceptional sense of shooting and is a natural-born Assassin.

Malin could only explain it this way — Simon Haye is too steady, and with Jason saying that he is a natural human, Malin thought either his ancestors were extraordinary, or he has awakened now, at the eve of the Tide of the Dead, because of the surge in Spiritual Energy.

A real diamond in the rough, so to speak.

Malin sighed thusly, anwhile signaling Rhodes to acquaint his new teammate with the camp, while he would supervise here.

Hearing that Malin was supervising them, the soldiers imdiately beca more serious; Malin stood aside watching these soldiers finish their first round, with the best average score being 8.7 rings, and even the lowest at 8.1 rings.

Considering it was their first ti using telescopic sights, having only received two hours of training at most, it was quite sufficient.

Malin was straightforward too; since these soldiers were all here for Sharpshooter training, he issued each soldier 200 bullets.

"Fire all of these, and if it’s not enough, I’ll authorize more," Malin’s order was popular, and all the soldiers in the shooting areas ran to the logistics section to move boxes of ammunition.

As for the logistics officer at the shooting range, whose face looked like liver, Malin had to write him a note stating that he had used this batch of ammunition, and then Malin through the Semi-Plane pulled twice the amount of bullets for this officer.

Now it was the officer’s turn to feel embarrassed; Malin smiled and told him not to be, emphasizing that as long as the soldiers ca for training, there should be enough bullets, and he would replenish whatever they used.

With Malin’s reassurance, the officer finally nodded and agreed.

Since the soldiers’ training volu was secured, Malin was happy to relax. He went to another shooting area, just in ti to see Carter supervising his soldiers.

"Lord Malin, I thought you would take a good rest in the south," Carter saluted Malin.

Malin returned the military salute, then said with a smile, "Been too busy to rest, looks like you have been as well."

"After all, we stepped down, and the military personnel ca saying they wanted us to train Sharpshooters; I and Sudel saw no reason to refuse, it’s not like we had anything better to do."

"True, but don’t neglect your own training, you, Sudel, and Halsan keep an eye on the overall situation of the team, I wouldn’t want to co back to find you all listless," Malin remarked while noticing hesitation on Carter’s face.

"What’s wrong, if there’s sothing on your mind, just say it," Malin looked straight at his soldier.

Carter remained silent for a mont, then finally stomping his foot: "Sir, it’s about Halsan."

"What’s wrong with him?" Malin looked at him, feeling intrigued.

"Halsan’s hotown had so issues, he went to deal with them, it’s been five days now, today Sudel and I asked around, the military says they don’t know," Carter blurted out and looked at Malin: "Sudel and I suspect sothing happened, but Sudel told not to tell you."

"...I’ll ask Sudel, you keep training these young n." After finishing, Malin took out a cigarette box, pulled out one, and handed it to Carter: "Rember, if you’re in trouble, just ntion my na, if my na doesn’t work, then those who caused trouble will personally experience whether my knife is sharp enough."

The young man paused for a mont but eventually lit the cigarette, "I’ll co with you to see Sudel."

"No need, I told you, just train them well." After saying this, Malin set off alone to find Sudel.

Then, at the shooting range closest to the exit, he t Sudel; the young man upon receiving a cigarette flicked by Malin seed to understand why Malin had co, he knelt on one knee before Malin.

"I haven’t even asked you yet, and you kneeling down puts in a difficult position," Malin frowned slightly, eventually gesturing for the young man to stand up.

But Sudel did not rise, instead, he lowered his head with an almost pleading tone, "Halsan told that he might run into trouble this ti when he went ho, and he asked not to tell you, saying if you knew, it would cause a bloody storm."

Looking at the young man who passed the lie detection, Malin sighed and lit a cigarette for himself.

"Where is Halsan’s hotown?"

"I can’t say."

"He might already be dead, can’t I even go collect his body?" Malin asked looking at Sudel kneeling there.

The big boy lowered his head in sha, but still refused to answer Malin: "Sorry, sir, but Halsan said I absolutely cannot tell you."

"He’s already dead," Malin said bitterly.

Sudel did not answer; Malin sighed, turned around, and gestured to a lieutenant who quickly ran over.

"Halsan Chandler, commander of the third squad of my Sharpshooters, where is his hotown?" Malin asked.

"Uh, well..." the lieutenant shook his head, "I really don’t know, you should ask at the military headquarters."

Watching his feet representing lying cross, Malin opened a teleportation portal, and before stepping in, flicked the cigarette butt onto Sudel’s forehead.

"Loyalty that is not absolute is absolutely disloyalty; your loyalty shown to your comrades’ promises and to the land under your feet, I have clearly understood."
