7.2, 7.9, 8.5, 9.1, 9.9.
Rhodes nodded, "You’ve passed the test, Simon. Starting today, you are a mber of the Sharpshooter Team under Lord Malin. Congratulations."
This kind of shooting technique, adjusting while firing, Rhodes could do it too, but he would at least need a four-power scope; whereas Simon accomplished it with chanical sights alone.
Truly a monstrous talent.
And this middle-aged man who looked rather elderly seed very happy, saluting Rhodes: "Thank you for your recomndation, Lieutenant sir!"
"Don’t thank . Moreover, once you complete the training course that Lord Malin has given you, you will also beco a glorious lieutenant." Rhodes patted the middle-aged man’s shoulder, preparing to say so encouraging words when he heard exclamations from a nearby shooting range.
"It’s Lord Malin!"
Soone shouted this, and Rhodes looked towards where the voice was coming from, just in ti to see Lord Malin walking beside his cousin and Carter.
The lieutenant quickly adjusted his collar, then fished out so hair pomade from his pocket, applied it a few tis to his ssy hair, and saluted Malin approaching him: "My lord! Welco back!"
......
"Hmm, I am back." Malin looked at the dandyish youngster before him and smiled. He turned his head towards a lieutenant and saluted: "Lieutenant, thank you for your hard work."
"My lord! Compared to you, I don’t feel any hardship at all!" The lieutenant was visibly excited as he saluted Malin.
"Very energetic." Malin nodded with a smile and then turned to look at the mbers of the Sharpshooter Team: "You all, carry on with your duties."
Once the crowd dispersed, Malin approached Rhodes, reaching out to smooth the cowlick on his head: "Who hit that 500 ters target? It was well done."
"It was Simon Haye, Lord Malin, he used chanical sights." With evident pride, Rhodes quickly started to introduce this treasure he had discovered.
Upon hearing about the young man, Malin raised his eyebrows: "Give him five high-velocity rounds."
Rhodes imdiately got five high-velocity rounds, and Simon Haye showcased his shooting skills once again, achieving an average score of 9.7 to Malin’s admiration—Malin could achieve this too, but he needed to enhance his arms and visual system with Spiritual Energy and Spell Formation, yet this middle-aged man had no such extraordinary powers. How did he manage it?
With such astonishnt, Malin asked the middle-aged man.
"Since I was very young, I discovered I could see very far and very clearly, I could even see the trajectory of bullets," this middle-aged man provided a very intriguing answer.
·Jason, does he show any signs of being modified?
·No, it’s natural. His eyes naturally have this effect; the human body is really fascinating, right?
Jason’s answer surprised Malin—was this a reality where the rich rely on technology and the poor on mutations?
Nonetheless, now that Rhodes had taken this soldier under his command, Malin was confident in turning this middle-aged man into a most formidable killing machine.
And this na is rather appealing: "Simon Haye, starting tomorrow, Lieutenant Sudel and Lieutenant Rhodes will be responsible for your training. They will shape you into a super soldier. Do you have any family?"
"...I used to have, but Chaos destroyed everything." The middle aged man answered solemnly.
Malin nodded: "I understand, train hard. There is a lot of chaos in this world waiting for you to bore a hole into their heads with your bullets."
"Yes, my lord. I joined the army precisely to seek revenge on them," Simon replied.
Malin was very pleased with this answer, and he stretched out his hand, Rhodes imdiately pulling out his eight-power scope and handing it to Malin.
"Too big, two-power scope." Malin laughed softly shaking his head.
So the lieutenant switched to a two-power scope, handing it to Simon: "Try this, I’m afraid the higher magnification won’t suit you."
"I... I don’t know how to use it." The middle-aged man showed embarrassnt for the first ti.
Malin took his rifle, showing him how to mount the scope and how to zero it. Finally, Malin handed the rifle back to him: "Again, 500 ters."
After saying that, Malin perford the Eagle Eye Technique on himself.
First shot, 7.1 ring.
Malin could hear the middle-aged man muttering it was too big, then cycling the bolt to eject the shell.
He took his ti aiming before pulling the trigger again.
Second shot, 6.8 ring.
Malin turned to the man: "Simon, can you tell your concerns?"
"When I look at the target through this scope, it feels too large, and it makes feel dizzy," the man gave a response that left others speechless.
Malin looked at Rhodes; the young man had scratched his well-oiled head into a ss.
"Try this, don’t close your left eye, and shoot the remaining three rounds," Malin instructed.
Simon did as he was told, raising the rifle and firing with both eyes open.
Third shot, the bullet went missing.
Although it did not hit the target, Malin noticed the calmness returning to the man’s face.
He ejected the shell, aid once more, and pulled the trigger.
Fourth shot, 8.9 ring.
Then the fifth.
9.9 ring.
The bullet hit dead center of the target.
