"Finally... I am free at last!"
"Thank you, Am! You foolish Apprentice! Hoffman chose to drag you into this deadly semi-plane in order to protect his last Apprentice, thus prematurely exhausting his strength. Now, let finish you! After that, I will go out and spread death and decay across the land!"
Am fell to the ground, clutching his head: "This can’t be! Isn’t this supposed to be a rite of inheritance?"
"It is the Rite of the End, you idiot! He wanted soone else to destroy , but you saved ! As thanks, I will rcifully kill you swiftly!" With that, the Evil God brandished his longsword and appeared in front of Am in an instant, severing Am’s left arm with a single stroke.
Am howled in agony as the power of Chaos began to heal his wounds. But his opponent clearly wouldn’t grant him the opportunity. In the next second, his left leg was cut off, and the assailant effortlessly severed his right leg at the knee.
Watching Am fall to the ground, the Evil God laughed maniacally: "I’ve changed my mind. I can already leave this place. I’ll just take you with , so you can witness the devastation caused by the ritual you altered!"
In the next second, Am collapsed where he stood, struggling to stand up without a hand and legs, gazing at both sides who had stopped fighting, and the old man rising from the center of the ritual magic circle.
"Thank you, Am! You shall be the most foolish being of Chaos this world has ever known!"
Hoffman... no, the deranged Evil God laughed uproariously, spreading his arms as an invisible aura expanded from beneath his feet.
The Paladins resisted the encroachnt of Chaotic Energy with their divine energy, but still, one or two Kobold Paladins fell screaming into corruption.
And the beings of Chaos began to mutate until eventually they beca Chaos Spawn due to their failure to complete the ritual.
"My minions! Slay them all!" The Evil God pointed towards Malin’s side.
Malin drove the four longspears, transford from World Tree Saplings, into the ground at his feet.
· My half-world!
The mournful cries of Ails echoed throughout the semi-plane.
· His divinity is yours!
Watching the grass at his feet expanding wildly, Malin whispered back to Ails.
The beings of Chaos were bound by the tender grass and shoots as soon as they touched the ground. They pierced the bodies of Chaos, infusing them with divine energy until they ignited.
Malin saw Am, who had no reaction when the shoots pierced his body, as if he was already dead.
The Evil God wearing Hoffman’s shell scread in desperation—this barren world was transforming into a garden realm.
"No! You dog of the false gods! I will defeat you! I will kill you!" Behind the shrieking Evil God, a multitude of Undead materialized, attempting to overwhelm the sacred ground with their numbers until the sprouts could no longer cope.
Malin drove the longspear in front of him deeper into the ground.
The next second, skeletal hands lifted the sod and crawling out from beneath the ground, the Undead with pure white Soul Fires began repairing their rusted weapons and armor, and as they donned their Gryphon Helts, one of them knelt before Malin.
· To the living, we pay homage, we return to this world to heed your command.
"Purify them!"
Having uttered these words, Malin released his grip and the longspears began to burrow into the earth of their own accord.
The Undead representing different factions clashed, comncing an efficient self-purging.
Divine branches reached out from the void, offering Malin a plain, unadorned longsword.
The surviving Paladins bowed one after another.
Ails no longer scread, but Malin could still hear his whisper.
· Pale justice in my semi-world... my ho is gone!
Malin accepted the longsword, then lifted his head to look at the Evil God inhabiting his ntor’s shell.
"You think you can defeat , mortal!"
"Mortals should recognize their limits, the end of human strength, but being human ans never bowing to evil and despair, never surrendering, never contaminating oneself, never betraying one’s dignity and pride as a human."
Gazing straight at the Evil God, Malin felt no discomfort, perhaps due to the longsword in his hand, perhaps due to the innate pride of being human, or, perhaps, simply because upon looking at the Evil God, Malin saw nothing more than a pitiable creature trapped for ten thousand years.
In a bygone era, legends had already managed to seal him, so in this age, surely soone could purify him.
Maybe it won’t be , but I will certainly make the attempt.
"Co, let us end this all."
The next second, their longswords collided, with Positive and Negative Energy replacing the blades, casting sparks of black and white.
Malin, holding his ground against the strike, was surprised by his own strength, then took the montum and pushed the Evil God away.
"My power! No! This world is devouring my power!" The Evil God quickly noticed the problem—this semi-plane was devouring his power.
He began to fight back furiously, but Malin parried his attacks ti and again.
The Evil God beca increasingly frenzied, launching attack after attack at Malin, but his ntal assaults were practically non-existent to Malin, although over there Ails began recounting tales of his childhood due to the influence, and the Paladins had all been whisked away by the branches of the World Tree.
Right, Colin had been extracted from the semi-plane by the Mother Tree at the first opportunity.
