The number of Chaos forces far exceeded everyone’s estimates. Very quickly, the two small hills where Malin was located were surrounded. The Chaos attempted to divide the two hills, but in the face of crossfire, they could only retreat without success.

However, the encirclent of the Expeditionary Force still alard the sages far away in New Hangzhou. Bomber squadrons from New Hangzhou and New Anzhou ca to the front lines more than once to drop deadly incendiary bombs—this was the exclusive pre-Great Destruction formula of the Thanans. These flas could even injure Chaos Demons, obviously containing plenty of potent ingredients.

Malin was very satisfied with this, because every ti an incendiary bomb was dropped, it represented another Chaos offensive being halted. No matter how fearless the Chaos Infantry were in the face of the blazing and temporarily unquenchable flas, they couldn’t just directly pass through the fire—if they could, Malin wouldn’t even need to fire; the flas clinging to them would claim their lives before they reached the human defenses.

Unable to receive reinforcents, every ti bombings occurred, reinforcent units and their heavy sarcophagus-class landing craft would arrive at the top of the hill with the help of fighter jet strafing suppressing anti-aircraft fire.

Malin had a strong inclination to ridicule these sarcophagus-class landing crafts, thinking the Thanans had a rather bold naming style. But upon seeing such a craft, capable of transporting an entire platoon at once, he concluded the na wasn’t entirely inappropriate.

This was a large semi-open cockpit aircraft, with the Dostic Fairy pilot and three front and rear Defense Gunner operators making the cockpit sowhat cramped. However, considering its massive fuselage, the cockpit seed a bit small.

The craft could take off and land vertically, and was covered in various "patches." The fuselage even had a large amount of external armor, and both sides of the cockpit bore nurous nas, presumably of previous pilots, indicating long service.

After landing, the rear section of the fuselage slanted open, and a platoon of infantryn ran out carrying various ammunition supplies. dical personnel then loaded soldiers on stretchers.

Considering how it actually resembled a sarcophagus, Malin didn’t ridicule it further.

However, judging by their appearance...these might very well be remnants from the Great Destruction Era. After years of patchwork maintenance, it’s certain that the Thanans haven’t entirely lost the pre-Great Destruction technology. It’s not just artificial intelligence AI; for example, the contributions of Bixiu and Bei Luo are not forgotten by the Thanans. Clearly, the cockpit was originally designed for human pilots, and the open cockpit and Dostic Fairy gunners were later additions to protect the pilot from attacks.

As to why the cockpit was exposed...perhaps they ran out of bulletproof glass.

Though it sounded quite magical, in Malin’s view, this might be the most logical explanation.

For maintenance work, so parts could be replaced with secondary materials, such as bulletproof armor plates. Malin noticed extra welding marks on the sides of the fuselage and belly of these landing crafts, normally unnecessary.

In other words, despite welding so many extras on and carrying so many soldiers with supplies, these crafts could still fly. Originally, they must have been designed to transport soldiers fully clad in power armor and fully ard.

But then again, major components like the engines were decent. These were likely reproducible significant components, either from reactivated automatic factories or crafted by legendary artisans.

In any case, it was truly remarkable.

Malin wasn’t participating in combat here; instead, he was waiting for the Champion of the Great Demon on the opposite side to face off, a tactic used in previous battles. At first contact, the opposing champion cluster charged, seemingly intent on sweeping away these accursed humans.

Then Malin stepped forward with his double-edged sword, expressing a tragic and sorrowful sentint, ’I’m cutting with my blade atop the hill.’

Thirteen champions rushed up, engaging in lee with human legends, unable to retreat. In a flash, Malin chopped down twelve of them. One got away because Malin, mistakenly thinking cutting off its legs would incapacitate it, didn’t anticipate it fleeing at high speed on its arms, looking like a horror ga monster, crawling over a kiloter away while screaming as though Malin was relentlessly pursuing it.

Even though Malin could have captured it, considering the presence of two Great Demons on the opposing side, he decided against leaving his troops and other legends vulnerable, ultimately attributing it to luck—’I’m Malin, slicing champion platters daily, but who knew a duck on the chopping block could still fly away.’

What Malin didn’t know was that the two Great Demons opposite him were also cursing—this super powerful legendary that appeared from the Thanans was news they only recently received.

It’s not that their intelligence was lacking, but the ones who encountered Malin ended up dead, with their information coming from spies in Mark City—instead of encountering Malin, their soul coins appeared in the market, used by Malin’s red-handed ally, Donald.
