"They’re finally here."
Su Xuan silently blanked his phone screen, then glanced at Qi Li and Lu Dongshan. Lu Dongshan imdiately stood up and walked out of the private room. Qi Li, on the other hand, turned on an LCD television hanging on the wall and sat back down, her beautiful eyes fixed on the screen. Su Xuan had already told her that whether she could return to the mountain world with hope depended on tonight.
"Mr. Su, are we watching a program on TV?" Buffett asked Su Xuan, puzzled.
He saw the TV showing another private room, its decor vastly different from their own. It was filled with colorful balloons, as if for a Children’s Day celebration.
"Yes," Su Xuan nodded with a smile. "First, let’s watch the live broadcast. Going to the scene directly might be a bit too stimulating."
"Oh." Buffett opened his mouth, but no words ca out. He was completely bewildered. How could going to the scene be stimulating? Were they going to release a monster? Ultraman versus monster? But he didn’t ask any further questions. While drinking with Su Xuan, his eyes occasionally flickered to the TV screen.
Wang Junming looked at Su Xuan with imnse gratitude. Su Xuan had not only arranged the venue but had also planned entertainnt. This dinner was bound to be a success!
He vowed to thank Su Xuan properly later! He wondered if Su Xuan would even care about being gifted a villa.
...
"Senior Brother, should we sneak in quietly?"
A group of five or six people stood outside the Lycar Hotel, gazing up at the landmark building. Each carried a longsword on their back, looking as if they had just walked off a movie set.
"No need. They’re just a rabble. Let’s go right in!"
The lead senior brother waved his hand, leading the group into the Lycar Hotel.
Upon entering, so of them were dumbfounded. The hotel was imnse and its layout complex; they had no idea where the dinner was being held. A few staff mbers stood in conspicuous locations, offering them professional smiles.
"Don’t go over there."
Just as one of them was about to pretend to be a guest and ask the staff for directions, the lead senior brother pointed at a series of signs and smiled. "See? The lower world is quite particular about etiquette. We can just follow these signs to find the place!"
The signs even had ssages welcoming Mr. Buffett.
"Excuse , are you the perforrs?"
Just as they were about to follow the signs to the private room, a staff mber intercepted them. "Our hotel has been booked for a private event tonight. Only those on the guest list are allowed inside."
"Um..." the lead senior brother faltered. "Yes, we’re here to perform."
"What took you so long?" the staff mber complained. "The guests have been waiting anxiously. Hurry on up!"
"Right!"
The lead senior brother continued to lead his companions, following the signs.
Arranging a performance for a simple dinner... Do they want a more spectacular death? he muttered to himself.
He had no idea that the staff mber had stopped him simply to make things look more realistic. Otherwise, he could have walked straight into the private room unopposed.
Soon, the lead senior brother arrived at a private room as indicated by the signs. Standing outside the door, he drew his longsword and told his companions, "Attack as soon as we’re inside. Don’t waste ti. Then we retreat imdiately!"
"Understood!" The others drew their swords in unison.
"We’re going in!"
The lead senior brother abruptly pushed open the door and charged inside. But as soon as he entered, the unexpected happened—a cascade of colorful balloons flew into their faces!
He instinctively swung his sword, shredding several balloons with a series of POPS!
"What the hell is this?"
"How childish!"
The others were also startled by the balloons, swinging their swords and bursting a few more.
Then they saw him: a sturdy figure sitting on a sofa against the far wall, his face grim as he watched them.
"Lu Dongshan!"
The lead senior brother recognized him instantly and called out his na. Next to Lu Dongshan stood two individuals clad in red armor. They didn’t seem like living beings but more like two statues, completely devoid of any aura.
"You know , but I don’t know you," Lu Dongshan said slowly, picking up his teacup and taking a sip. "Could you tell who you are and why you killed Yan Xiaosong and Qiao Yongshou?"
"If they don’t die, how can the Spirit Taming and Floating Cloud sects go to war?" the lead senior brother retorted. Gripping his sword, he advanced slowly toward Lu Dongshan. "Where are the others? Where’s your junior sister, Qi Li?"
The others fanned out, forming an encirclent to close in on Lu Dongshan.
"Beat first. Then we’ll talk."
Lu Dongshan set down his teacup and slowly rose to his feet, his muscles bulging and crackling with power!
"Oh, I see now..."
In the other private room, Buffett watched the television screen, a look of sudden realization on his face. He laughed and said to Su Xuan, "They’re going to perform Chinese martial arts!"
That was right. The actual dining room and the one Su Xuan had set up as a trap were not the sa. Those directional signs were nothing but a ruse!
"Yes, yes, this must be a martial arts performance!" Edward chid in. "Father, I ca to China this ti hoping to learn a few moves from Brother Su, hehe!"
As he spoke, Edward adjusted his posture, his eyes glued to the screen with great interest. Qi Li secretly clenched her small hands, feeling a mixture of nervousness and anticipation.
Then, on the screen, the figures exploded into motion!
"Die!"
The five or six n launched a sudden, coordinated attack, swinging their swords at Lu Dongshan.
But to their surprise, Lu Dongshan, who had looked ready to fight, made no move to defend himself. Instead, he simply shouted, "I’ll leave it to you!"
Before his words had faded, the two red-armored warriors sprang into action!
CLANG! DING! DANG!
The armored warriors drew greatswords from their backs and charged forward, engaging the n as the sharp clash of steel rang out incessantly. The colorful balloons beca casualties of the crossfire, popping continuously as blades flashed through the air.
Lu Dongshan simply sat back down and watched the scene with a cold gaze. He even glanced up at the surveillance cara on the ceiling and smirked.
Seeing Lu Dongshan’s expression on the television, Su Xuan couldn’t help but smile. He knew Lu Dongshan was eager to join the fight but wouldn’t allow it, as his injuries had only just started to heal.
"Co on, don’t just watch! Let’s have another drink!" Su Xuan said, raising his glass to Buffett.
Buffett, who was already captivated by the thrilling fight on television, hastily took a drink with Su Xuan before his eyes shot back to the screen. Edward was completely srized.
Wang Junming was stunned. Why did this fight look so real? It seed like they were actually trying to kill each other! Ow! Soone’s bleeding! How exciting!
Qi Li suddenly stood up and walked out.
