"Chairman, there’s soone outside looking for you!"
Upon learning that soone had co to the film set looking for Su Xuan, Shang Lianqing rushed to report it.
"Did they give their nas?" Su Xuan asked.
"One’s nad Dongfang Hao, and the other is Chen Yuesheng. They said they’re your friends," Shang Lianqing replied.
"Let them co over," Su Xuan said.
Before long, a crew mber brought Dongfang Hao and Chen Yuesheng to Su Xuan. The mont they saw him, they were dumbfounded.
The once-dashing Su Xuan was now dressed in a coarse cloth outfit with a pair of tattered cloth shoes on his feet. His face was grimy, his hair was a ssy tangle, and he looked just like a young farr from a bygone era. If the crew mbers hadn’t personally confird it was Su Xuan, they wouldn’t have recognized him at all.
"Brother Su, what on earth are you doing?" Dongfang Hao couldn’t help but ask.
He had just found out from his sister-in-law, Du Yufei, that Su Xuan had started driving for a ride-sharing service. How did he end up acting on a film set now?
Could it be that Su Xuan invested in the film crew?
Chen Yuesheng was just as confused, having no idea what was going on.
Su Xuan smiled faintly. "I acquired Tianchou Film Company. I ca over to play a bit part for free to save my company so money."
"Oh!"
"Wow!"
Dongfang Hao and Chen Yuesheng were stunned. Tianchou Film Company was a massive film and television corporation with a market value of at least sixty to seventy billion! Yet, judging by Su Xuan’s nonchalant deanor, acquiring it was as simple as buying a head of cabbage from the market.
Incredible! Su Xuan’s net worth had soared as a result, leaving them far behind. Would he even bother with them anymore?
But to their relief, Su Xuan warmly patted their shoulders and chuckled. "Didn’t I tell you to wait for at that farmhouse restaurant? Why did you co all the way to the set?"
"It was boring waiting around without you there!" Dongfang Hao said.
"Yeah, let’s just grab a drink after you finish filming!" Chen Yuesheng added.
Su Xuan shrugged. "Fine by . I only have a small part, so it’ll be quick. I’ll have them start shooting now."
"What kind of scene is it?" Chen Yuesheng asked, looking at Su Xuan’s outfit and the costus of so nearby actresses. "Is it a movie about fighting the Japanese?"
"Yeah." Su Xuan briefly explained the plan for the evening’s shoot, then teased, "What, you want to play a bit part for free like ?"
"Can I really?" Chen Yuesheng rubbed his hands together excitedly. "I’ve dread of fighting the Japanese since I was a kid!"
Su Xuan glanced at Shang Lianqing, who imdiately bead at Chen Yuesheng. "You’re the chairman’s friend. Playing a bit part is no problem at all."
"Can I have a gun?"
"Certainly. You can have a gun, a big sword, even hand grenades."
At this, Chen Yuesheng’s eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly. "Alright, alright, sign up for a bit part!"
"Um..." Dongfang Hao, finding it all rather amusing, couldn’t resist asking, "Could I play a bit part too?"
Shang Lianqing looked at Dongfang Hao’s portly figure and asked hesitantly, "Would you mind playing a Japanese soldier?"
"I don’t mind, as long as it’s fun," Dongfang Hao replied.
"Alright then. Please head to makeup, you two!"
Next, the makeup artist went to work on them. With a quick transformation, one beca a brave and skilled anti-Japanese soldier, while the other beca a pot-bellied Japanese soldier.
Dongfang Hao imdiately got into character. Holding a rifle, he said to Chen Yuesheng, "Just you wait, you little rascal! I’m taking your life tonight!"
Chen Yuesheng patted the large sword hanging at his waist and said disdainfully, "I’m the one who’s going to capture your stronghold tonight!"
The scene made Su Xuan laugh. Then, he suddenly rembered sothing and lowered his voice to speak to Shang Lianqing, Dongfang Hao, and Chen Yuesheng. "Soone is looking to cause trouble for . They’ve been following . If they dare co to the set to find , I have a plan..."
As Su Xuan’s voice trailed off, Shang Lianqing and the other two listened, a look of anticipation creeping onto their faces.

"Uncle, that guy surnad Su went into that film set!"
"Should we go in and deal with him?"
Outside the shooting location, the van driver from before t up with Qin Wenbin’s group and imdiately reported Su Xuan’s whereabouts.
Qin Wenbin had no idea why Su Xuan was on a film set and just assud he was there to hit on the actresses.
Otherwise, why would he have gone to the Tianchou Company headquarters and then rushed out to this remote countryside?
"Here’s the plan," Qin Wenbin announced. "First, we pretend to be his friends and go find him on the set. Once we find him, we’ll talk about compensation. If he refuses to pay, he’ll learn the hard way. Then you can all let him have it!"
With this in mind, Qin Wenbin led his group of over twenty n and swaggered onto the film set, imdiately asking to see Su Xuan.
Shang Lianqing was the one who received them.
"It’s a sha you didn’t get here a few minutes earlier," Shang Lianqing said politely to Qin Wenbin and his n. "He’s already on the shooting set and won’t be out for a while. You’ll have to wait."
Qin Wenbin frowned. "How long will we have to wait?"
"It depends on how the shoot goes," Shang Lianqing replied. "If everything’s smooth, it could be just half an hour. If not, it’s hard to say. It could even be three to five hours."
Qin Wenbin thought for a mont. "We have a big business deal to discuss with him and can’t wait that long. We want to see him now!"
"The set has already been closed for filming," Shang Lianqing said, feigning difficulty. "If I let you in and a cara catches you on film by accident, it’ll be a shooting incident. We’d have to reshoot the whole scene, which would be a huge loss for the production!"
"Then call him and tell him to co out," Qin Wenbin demanded.
"Cell phones aren’t allowed on a live set, so there’s no way to call him," Shang Lianqing explained.
"Will you take responsibility for delaying our business?" Qin Wenbin shot back.
"Well..." Shang Lianqing deliberately hesitated, then said, "I have an idea. Why don’t you put on costus and go in to find him? If anyone asks, just say you’re extras. Once you’re inside, just don’t wander around, so you don’t disrupt the filming."
Qin Wenbin looked at his n. Seeing that none of them objected, and so even looked intrigued, he nodded. "Fine, get us so costus!"
Ten minutes later, Qin Wenbin and his gang of relatives and helpers looked completely different. Every single one of them had been turned into a "little devil" soldier.
"Heh heh," one of them snickered. "This crew is pretty thoughtful!"
"Yeah, it’s like they knew we were here to cause trouble for that Su guy. They even gave us weapons!"
"Look at the bayonet on this rifle! It’s gleaming!"
"You could definitely run that Su guy through with this!"
SWISH! SWISH! One of Qin Wenbin’s nephews slashed the air with his bayonet.
"They’re just props, you idiot," another scoffed. "It’d be a miracle if you could actually kill soone with them."
"Co on, let’s go find that Su guy!" Qin Wenbin ordered.
With a wave of his hand and under Shang Lianqing’s guidance, Qin Wenbin led his n, strutting into the shooting area: a set depicting a Japanese stronghold.
As he entered the stronghold and saw the guns, cannons, and military supplies laid out, Qin Wenbin felt an inexplicable surge of excitent. It was as if he had truly beco one of the devils—ruthless and utterly devoid of conscience.
He murmured to himself, "That Su guy... You’d better hope I don’t find you. Otherwise, this great officer will flay you alive and pull out your sinews! I’ll make sure you die a miserable death!"
But he could never have imagined that what awaited him was a nightmare he would never forget for the rest of his life.
