Upon hearing footsteps, Luo Peng and Su Beilin hurried to the office door and looked down the corridor.

"Hahaha! Dinner is sorted out for tonight."

Luo Peng laughed heartily at Su Beilin.

On hearing this, Su Beilin’s face darkened. He had already "bet" and lost to Luo Peng three tis.

"I never expected that Director Liu would personally lead the team here." Su Beilin mumbled in disbelief.

It seed that the chanical Departnt of Qinghua University really valued its cooperation with the chanical Departnt of Mist City Arts and Science University. Otherwise, there was no way Director Liu would personally bring an inspection team.

"Director Liu!"

Both Luo Peng and Su Beilin had been students under director Liu Mingjiang, so they went up and greeted him.

Although Liu Mingjiang was the director of the chanical departnt, he was also a professor in the departnt. Both Luo Peng and Su Beilin had taken his professional courses.

"Luo Peng, Su Beilin, good to see you still rember even after graduating several years ago." Liu Mingjiang said with a smile when seeing his proud pupils.

"Director Liu, don’t say that. We were both brought up under your supervision. Of course, we rember you."

Su Beilin flattered him without reserve.

"You went to Dingli Group after graduation, why are you now at Mist City Arts and Science University?" Liu Mingjiang asked curiously.

It’s quite normal for the superior students of the chanical Departnt of Qinghua University to work for Dingli Group after graduation, as Dingli Group is a top-tier company in the dostic chanical manufacturing industry.

However, Liu Mingjiang couldn’t understand why Luo Peng and Su Beilin left Dingli Group to work for the chanical Departnt in Mist City Arts and Science University or, more precisely, for the chanical Manufacturing Division of the Feiyue Group.

Liu Mingjiang knew that Mist City Arts and Science University was a private institution, like a corporation. Feiyue Group was closely affiliated with the university.

"Director Liu, even good birds choose the right trees to nest in. This place is more suitable for us, so we ca here."

Luo Peng was very good with words. Instead of explaining the actual reasons, he simply stated that the university was suitable for them, and thus, they ca there.

Liu Mingjiang nodded with a smile and said, "As long as it’s suitable, that’s good. I heard from Principal Ding that you are participating in a lithography experint project at Mist City Arts and Science University?"

The main purpose of Liu Mingjiang’s visit to Mist City Arts and Science University was to inspect the precision chanical processing involved in the university’s lithography experint project.

If Mist City Arts and Science University possesses this capacity, then the chanical Departnt of Qinghua University may consider establishing a cooperative exchange relationship with the chanical Departnt of Mist City Arts and Science University.

At that ti, the chanical Departnt of Mist City Arts and Science University will beco one of the leading majors in the country. Even if it doesn’t beco one of the best in a short ti, there will be absolutely no problem being recognized as a key provincial discipline, since it will have established a cooperative exchange relationship with the chanical Departnt of Qinghua University.

"Yes, Director Liu, but our lithography experint project is still in its startup phase." Luo Peng responded.

Liu Mingjiang had no doubts about Luo Peng and Su Beilin’s capability to investigate the precision chanical processing of lithography machines, as he knew they had the ability.

"Professor Liu, let’s move the discussion to the eting room, shall we?" Ding Yue invited Professor Liu Mingjiang to continue their conversation in the eting room.

This preliminary eting between the inspection team from the chanical Departnt of Qinghua University and the Mist City Arts and Science University’s top team wasn’t quite appropriate to be held here in this corridor.

"Good!"

Liu Mingjiang nodded.

Afterwards, Ding Yue led Professor Liu Mingjiang and the mbers of the inspection team from Qinghua’s chanical Departnt into eting Room 1. Luo Peng, Su Beilin, Ding Xiaoyou, and Tong Yihang from the chanical Departnt followed closely.

After everybody arrived in the office, Ding Yue asked Wen Ruohan to arrange for so purified water and such. After all, etings could go on for quite so ti and all the talking could easily lead to dry throats and parched mouths.

Wen Ruohan swiftly set out to arrange everything.

"Let’s start with introductions," said Ding Yue as everyone settled within the eting room - with Professor Liu Mingjiang and the Qinghua University inspection team mbers occupying the side by the floor-to-ceiling window, and the Mist City Art and Science University group on the side facing the corridor.

"Professor Liu, Luo Peng and Su Beilin don’t need introductions, do they?" Ding Yue said, looking at Professor Liu Mingjiang with a smile.

Professor Liu Mingjiang nodded slightly in agreent.

Then Ding Yue introduced the rest of the team: "This is Tong Yihang, Liu Tiefei, and Yang Jie, who are students in our chanical Departnt. This is our teacher Li Shengbin from the chanical Departnt, a graduate from the East China University of Science and Technology."

After introducing them, Ding Yue could proudly say he had presented the trump cards of the chanical Departnt of Mist City Arts and Science University.

However, there was one more person in the eting room who was introduced: "Professor Liu, this is my sister, Xiao You. She is also involved in the lithography experint project, so she is here to join in the excitent."

"Ding Xiaoyou... you are the science top scorer in this year’s College Entrance Examination in Mist City, aren’t you? Rather than choosing our Qinghua University, or Yancheng University, you stayed in your Mist City Arts and Science University."

Upon glancing at Ding Xiaoyou, Professor Liu Mingjiang felt it was quite a pity.

If an academic high-achiever like Ding Xiaoyou were to co to Qinghua University, her accomplishnts and achievents would certainly be greater.

However!

What Liu Mingjiang didn’t know was that if Ding Xiaoyou went to Qinghua University or Yancheng University, that would have been a waste.

Only by staying at Mist City Arts and Science University, could Ding Xiaoyou shine with her own brilliance.

"Hello, Professor Liu. You are a nationally renowned professor in chanical engineering, and I have admired you since I was a child. However, compared to physics and chanics, I prefer Energy Chemistry."

Ding Xiaoyou enthusiastically greeted Professor Liu Mingjiang.

"Hello, choosing a major you like is indeed the best. But choosing a good college is also very important."

The implication in Liu Mingjiang’s words seed to suggest that Ding Xiaoyou didn’t choose the right university.

With such good grades, choosing a private university - what’s up with that? It’s simply outrageous!

However, as for Professor Liu’s words, Ding Yue didn’t care because the majority of people outside share Professor Liu’s view that Ding Xiaoyou, his younger sister, should have chosen Qinghua University or Yancheng University, or at the very least Fudan University.

But only Ding Yue knew that his little sister, Ding Xiaoyou, was better off staying at their Mist City Arts and Science University.

"Professor Liu and his team ca over from Yancheng as representatives of the chanics departnt at Qinghua University for an academic exchange and inspection of our chanics departnt. I hope that in the coming days, the deanor shown by our chanical departnt of Mist City Arts and Science University will satisfy you."

Ding Yue introduced Professor Liu and his team to his students and colleagues at Mist City Arts and Science University.

For teachers and students like Tong Yihang and Liu Tiefei, and even teacher Li Shengbin, the na of Professor Liu Mingjiang rings a bell. After all, as students of chanical engineering, how could they not know such a master in their field?

"Let’s continue our previous topic. To be honest, I ca here to see your lithography machine experintal project at Mist City Arts and Science University."

Professor Liu Mingjiang said seriously.

The conversation was about to delve into professional exchanges, and everyone in the conference room beca serious and cautious.

"Professor Liu, here’s the situation. With respect to the lithography machine experintal project, we are still in the early stages. By the way, Luo Peng, Tong Yihang, how far has your research gone in this area?"

First, Ding Yue explained to Professor Liu Mingjiang the current progress of the lithography experintal project at Mist City Arts and Science University.

Indeed, the project is still in its early stages. After all, it was not long ago that Ding Yue had just approved the experintal project plan for the lithography machine, clearly, it would not have been quickly established as a systematic research project.

Most importantly, a research base is needed. Therefore, Ding Yue needs to have Tianfu Construction Group build a research base at Mist City Arts and Science University, similar to the one that his sister Ding Xiaoyou has.

In the end, Ding Yue even thought about it briefly, why not allocate a specific area in Mist City Arts and Science University for constructing a technological research base? The base could be a little larger, so in the future, any researchable technologies could have their corresponding laboratories established there.

This way, it could centralize things and prevent them from being scattered across the teaching and experintal buildings of various colleges and specialties.

"Principal Ding, we have made so progress in theoretical research. In terms of theoretical research in the field of precision machining technology for lithography machines, we believe that we may be able to achieve 3 nanoters, or even 2 nanoters, maybe even potentially reaching 1 nanoter."

Luo Peng reported earnestly to the Principal.

"3 nanoters? 2 nanoters? Even 1 nanoter? Can dostic lithography machines produce chips with such processes? That’s impossible!"

Upon hearing Luo Peng’s words, Professor Liu Mingjiang felt the claims were too exaggerated.

Keep in mind that dostically, 14-nanoter chips have just started to be mass-produced and comrcialized on a large scale. 7 nanoters is already the advanced process technology of Guoxing Technology. Even abroad, no one dares to claim that they can manufacture corresponding lithography machines for 3-nanoter, not to ntion 2-nanoter processes.

"Professor Liu, I’m talking about theoretically."

Luo Peng explained.

Thanks to Luo Peng’s access to the [Lithography Manufacturing Process Technology] provided by Ding Yue, after so ti of studying and researching, he has gained a lot of progress and insights into the theories of precision machining technology in lithography manufacturing.

"Theory? Don’t even theories need data support?" Professor Liu Mingjiang couldn’t help but frown, and he sternly asked.

To Professor Liu Mingjiang, a veteran professor of chanical engineering for several decades, any theory needs to have data at least roughly supporting its plausibility, otherwise, it’s just hollow talk, or boasting!

Ding Yue quietly watched the professional debates between Professor Liu Mingjiang and Luo Peng about precision machining technology in the field of lithography machines.

He considered himself an "outsider", so he kept his mouth shut...
