An observant cultivator suddenly pointed out.

Yet, what followed left everyone utterly stunned. The old City Lord appeared by the carriage, slightly bowed, and said respectfully, “This humble one greets the Divine Son of the Gu Family!”
The carriage’s curtain was lifted by Su Xiaoxuan, revealing Gu Changsheng seated inside. He smiled faintly and said, “No need for such formalities, elder.”
Before arriving, the elders of his clan had inford him that the old City Lord of Northern Wilderness City had once been a follower of a young supre figure from their family. Hence, his visit was not surprising.
“Just as the rumors say, the Divine Son is indeed unfathomable,” the old City Lord thought to himself, impressed by Gu Changsheng’s polite and composed deanor. Yet what startled him the most was his inability to discern Gu Changsheng’s true cultivation. It was as if the young man were enshrouded in mist—not by any artifact, but naturally so.
“Your praise is too generous,” Gu Changsheng replied with a smile.
“The accommodations have been prepared for the Divine Son. Please, allow to lead the way,” the old City Lord said as he gestured forward. He was well aware that the thousand-year Hunting Conference of the immortal families would use Northern Wilderness City as its staging ground, and had made preparations in advance.
“I appreciate your efforts, senior” Gu Changsheng nodded.
With a wave of the old City Lord’s robe, he led the way. The nine dragons roared as they soared into the skies, pulling the carriage with them.
Below, the city erupted in astonishnt once more. Many cultivators couldn’t believe their eyes.
“Was that the legendary Divine Son of Gu Family? The one who left his na on the Heavenly Dao Monunt and shattered the Extre Boundary of the Body Realm?”
“Hiss! To think I’d witness such a figure in person…”
Many female cultivators blushed, their eyes sparkling. “Even though it was just a fleeting glimpse, he’s truly like a banished immortal!”
anwhile, within a magnificent palace adorned with red lacquer and white jade, surrounded by misty vapor, a silver-robed youth sat cross-legged, ditating. Spiritual energy spiraled around him in small vortices, absorbed into his body.
Golden light shimred on his skin, forming countless smaller vortices. Within each vortex, phantoms of immortal beings and demons seed to sit chanting, exuding boundless runes and a mysterious aura.
Behind him lood the shadow of a massive Black Tortoise, its giant maw absorbing radiant sunlight from outside the palace.
Suddenly, a winged Yaksha entered and bowed. “My lord, the Divine Son has arrived at Northern Wilderness City and is being hosted by the old City Lord.”
The silver-robed youth opened his eyes, which glead like revolving stars, causing the void to tremble. His gaze alone was suffused with awe-inspiring might.
“So, the Divine Son has finally shown himself? I’m quite eager to et him,” Gu Zhenxuan murmured, his expression shifting between unwillingness and calm.
The position that belongs to —I will reclaim it myself.
“The remains of the saint in the Northern Wilderness Sacred Tomb may have undergone a mutation, so there may be surprises in this year’s hunting conference.”
Looking in the direction outside the palace, his eyes burst into a brilliant divine light again.
The Yaksha below was oppressed by this montum and could not move, but his face was full of fanaticism.
