"Where was I?" I asked as I realized that the silence was stretching a bit too long while I was lost in my thoughts about bathing in blood. I better not. Who knows what it would do to the—

Nope, not going there until everything is done.

"Ah, right, the Hive," I said, picking up from where I left off. "Did you know that the Hive are not the best assassins in the universe?" I asked, clicking on one square and enlarging it until Orzoth could easily see what was going on.

Clearly, I had picked the wrong square because what I saw was a Dryadalis male plowing frantically into the female under him. His hips were pounding in and out of her like he was on a construction site. It didn’t help that the sounds coming from the female sounded like she was in a porno.

"Ugh," I groaned, but I was trying to prove a point. "Night. End my misery, please, and thank you."

Night appeared on the desk right beside the laptop, causing Orzoth to let out a high-pitched squeak as he bolted upright.

"Now, now," I assured him, patting his shoulder until he sat down. "Like I said, the Hive are not the best assassins in the universe. The voragyvis are."

Night nodded his head, and all of a sudden, a large nightmare appeared on the back of the male on the screen. Without hesitation, the creature bit into the male, letting its poison do its job. It was only a matter of seconds before the male collapsed on top of the female.

Hopefully, he managed to find heaven before his death.

I minimized the square after I had proven my point. I did not want to see any naked ass male other than my males, thank you very much.

Orzoth leaned forward in morbid fascination as window after window showed both n and won succumbing to the nightmare’s poison.

And just like that, 18 out of 20 Alliance Council mbers died. Oh sure, an autopsy would show that they all died from the sa poison, but that had to be a coincidence, right? It’s not like anyone could really control the voragyvis after all.

"Do you see?" I asked, looking at the man in front of . He was already dead; he just didn’t know it yet. "Whatever you and your friend thought, today’s outco had already been decided. The Alliance will fall."

"The universe will erupt into chaos if that happens," stuttered the last head of the Alliance. He would go down in history as the one to destroy the institution, and no one would ever hear my na.

"Let it," I shrugged. I didn’t believe that it would actually happen, but if it did, then I would be there to stop it. However, I had my own plans. I much preferred to be in the darkness, controlling things that paint a giant target on my back.

The universe would be mine, but only and those I told would know it.

"But—"

"You need to say your goodbyes," I inford him, cutting off whatever he was about to say. He saw everyone that he called a friend dying in front of him. "Unless you want to live?"

"I want to live!" he said, grasping onto the one out that I would allow him. After all, it wasn’t like I was a heartless monster.

"Understood," I replied with a smile. Nodding my head to Da’kea, the Saalistaja raised his arm, and a dart shot out, sinking into Orzoth’s neck.

"Thank you," I said as Ye’tab appeared out of nowhere and slung the heavy body over his shoulder.

"Anything for you, my Queen," said the male, and the five of us left Orzoth’s office for the last ti.

No one tried to stop us or even asked why we were carrying out their leader. No, they were much too busy fighting off the visible nightmares that were swarming over every floor.

Blood-curdling screams and pleas for help followed us into the elevator and down to the first floor. I could hear people banging on the elevator doors, desperately trying to get to freedom, to safety. Unfortunately for them, it was completely controlled by Jun Li.

No matter what they did, they were not getting out of the building alive.

Could I have left so of them alive? Probably. But I was not willing to let anyone fill the void that the destruction of the Alliance would create. Only I would stand at the top.

----

Orzoth slowly ca to, only to discover himself lying on the cold floors of a ship. His head spun, and his mouth felt weird, but at least he was alive.

Taking in a deep breath, he looked around.

The walls were darker than he would have wanted, the floors colder. But at least he was away from the planet and the human woman that had killed everyone.

He looked around, trying to get his bearings. He knew for a fact that he had never been on a ship like this before, so the only thing he could do was find a lift and have it take him to the highest level.

No matter what species built the ship, he knew that the command bridge was always on the uppermost level.

"Hello, Sweetie," ca the soothing voice of a female from over the speakers. "It is so nice to have you on board."

Ozroth sneered at the voice. No one with any sense would fly with a female captain. But he would show her who was boss once he got to the command bridge.

"I am Orzoth Dienkol, head of the Alliance," said Orzoth, coming to his full height as he continued to make his way down the hallway. The heels of his boots were the only sound he could hear.

"Of course, you are," assured the voice, but Orzoth had the sneaking suspicion that it was making fun of him. "And I am Sha Shou, your captain for the rest of your journey."

"Then take to the Dryadalis ho world. Now," he said concisely as he stepped into the elevator.

"Of course," replied the female voice. "Please make yourself at ho."
