Chapter 777 Steve who almost died at the hands of Dior
“Is Natasha okay, where is she?” Dio suddenly asked as Steve was about to get away.
“We were separated and I couldn’t see her anywhere” Steve said as he was frozen stiff.
Dio just nodded and imdiately raised his hand, attacking Steve with dozens of ice shards. Steve didn’t take the attack directly as he raised his shield and blocked all the incoming ice shards.
“If it weren’t for Natasha telling that we are fighting against so mysterious enemy and seeing the real Steve blown away quite far, I would have been fooled by you, Loki!” Dio said coldly.
It was unlucky as right before Steve secured the Scepter, Natasha alredy regained consciousness and found the present Steve unconscious with Scott keeping an eye on them. So, Natasha imdiately attacked Scott that she had never seen before, while Natasha also inford Dio about the potential unknown enemy.
Now, the only person that Dio knew could transform himself with his ability to be an almost perfect copy of soone else was none other than Loki himself! But how did Loki get there? There was too much inconsistency here, but he couldn’t hand over the scepter to a possible enemy!
But it was fortunate for Steve as Dio had mistaken him for Loki. So, Steve didn’t bother correcting him and tried to fled the scene.
“Where do you want to go?” Dio said as he summoned the [Silver Chariot] and forced Steve to stop as the sword attack blocked his path. Steve didn’t have any other choice as he could only block the attack with his shield. The sound of tal collision kept coming as Steve took a step back every single ti. Steve couldn’t find a chance to counter attack or get away from Dio!
Dio didn’t seem to take the supposed fake Steve that he thought was the real Loki seriously as he kept firing off the ice shards towards the Chitauri Army.
After a while, Steve eventually felt that the attack directed to him was less powerful sohow, and thus he took that opportunity to leap to the side. Ice shards were bombarded towards Steve’s position, but he avoided that attack, too! At this mont Dio summoned [Bad Company], the one ti Stand Exp Card and imdiately ordered them to fire at the supposed Fake Steve.
Steve also dodged this attack, but he was a little slow, and because of that, his left leg was struck! Fortunately, Steve manage to dodge the next burst of fire as he hid under a solid, thick wall. Steve groaned in pain, but he knew that he couldn’t stay there forever and imdiately jumped towards the next shelter.
Steve knew that he it wasn’t Dio’s best, but still, Steve almost died here! He now realised how fearso it was to beco Dio’s enemy!
“Captain, how is your situation? Do you need any support?” Tony asked through the communicator.
Steve checked his injury and gritted his teeth. “I have been misidentified as Loki and I suffered a minor injury because of that! I want to escape this place on my own first, but if I can’t I will ask for support later!” Steve said hurriedly. “You have to finish your mission first, Tony!” Steve ordered.
“Don’t be stubborn! If you can’t handle it anymore, you can ask Vision to co and get you!” Tony said worriedly.
“I knew it already!” Steve said hurriedly and then hung up the communication to focus on his own situation. At the sa ti, a group of toy soldiers ca from around the corner. Steve raised his shield once more, and sure enough, he was bombarded with bullets once more.
Fortunately, he was using the Classic Shield today as it could completely absorb impact!
After a full minute of bombardnt, [Bad Company] stopped firing. Steve, who was still hiding under the shield imdiately took a deep breath and rolled to the side before running away quickly.
This ti, [Silver Chariot] appeared once again and attacked Steve, but the instinct Steve had honed so far told him to tilt his head to the right direction. Steve dodged [Silver Chariot] attack by a hair’s breadth! It actually grazed Steve on the face!
[Silver Chariot] attacked again, but Steve’s combat expertise kept saving his life. Steve knew that one wrong move would an death here! But he got one last chance to make sure he escaped this place!
So, Steve pushed [Silver Chariot] away with his shield and hit it with the scepter. An energy attack from the scepter blasted [Silver Chariot] in the chest, staggering it completely. Seeing that his attack was effective, Steve imdiately bombarded the [Bad Company] with the energy attack too, staggering them from firing their weapons and moving forward.
But seeing that they were being attacked, the rest of the toy soldiers that wasn’t affected by the attack imdiately hid to save themselves.
After the obstacle that blocked his path to escape was gone, Steve imdiately ran away the fastest he could. But at the sa ti, the sound of armor falling to the ground ca from behind him.
