1002: Chapter 107 There’s Nothing Impossible 1002: Chapter 107 There’s Nothing Impossible Reading two flight manuals within twenty-four hours is difficult, extrely difficult; it’s an impossible task for the vast majority of people.

Not to ntion, it’s unlikely to finish two books, each with several hundred thousand words, within twenty-four hours, let alone morize and recite them.

But Yang Yi wanted to try, not only try, but also succeed.

The chanical parts can be skipped, as well as how to maintain them, focusing only on how to pilot, especially the part about instrunt flight, which must be completed and morized.

Two models of aircraft, two flight manuals, the control section accounts for about half of the content.

For Yang Yi, this was possible.

From the mont he got the flight manuals, Yang Yi would definitely do nothing else but concentrate on reading and morizing diligently.

But it was impossible to not eat or sleep and spend all the ti reading.

Not only did Yang Yi eat when it was ti, but he also slept, because his goal wasn’t to finish reading in twenty-four hours, but to morize the essential parts within that ti fra, aning he had to maintain, to keep in a very good state to do it.

So at noon, Yang Yi took a one-hour nap, and co dinner ti, he had a lavish al, went out for a bit afterward—of course, going to practice shooting was out of the question for today.

After eating, moving around, and taking a short nap, Yang Yi continued reading the flight manuals at night, taking breaks to rest whenever he felt low on energy.

That’s how he spent twenty-three hours.

With one hour left to the agreed ti, Yang Yi laid down the two flight manuals.

He ate sothing, then lay on the bed.

Not having slept all night, he felt tired and so he slept for half an hour.

Five minutes left to the agreed ti, Yang Yi was awakened by the alarm he set, then he got up and headed straight to Hegelhaus’s office.

This was a bet between two people, now only known to three: Yang Yi, Hegelhaus, and Reggie.

When Yang Yi knocked on the door right on ti, Reggie opened it for him, then looked at him with a very complicated expression.

Yang Yi entered the office, then said solemnly, “Instructor, I’m ready.”

Hegelhaus looked at Yang Yi, stood up and said, “Then let’s start.”

No one spoke.

Reggie had been sizing up Yang Yi the entire ti; now Yang Yi’s hair was a bit ssy, his eyes sowhat red, but that was it.

He did not seem nervous, nor overly confident, and other than looking a bit unrested, Reggie couldn’t discern anything unusual from Yang Yi’s appearance.

The three went straight to the flight simulation hall, where nurous students were present, but not every simulator was occupied.

Hegelhaus stopped, looked at Yang Yi, and said, “Which one do you want to start with?”

Without hesitation, Yang Yi said, “C130.”

Hegelhaus pointed to a simulator and said in a deep voice, “Go ahead.”

Yang Yi wasn’t too experienced with simulators, nor had he interacted much with other instructors or students, but even though he wasn’t here, his legend was.

Everyone looked at Yang Yi.

Although they didn’t know what he was here for today, they all knew that since Hegelhaus brought him here with a stern face, sothing was going to happen.

Everyone rembered what happened last ti.

With Yang Yi, who keeps creating miracles, it really is difficult not to pay attention.

Yang Yi sat in the cockpit of the simulator, took a breath, and then asked Hegelhaus, “Do you need to set any specific flight conditions?”

Hegelhaus shook his head and said, “As long as you can take off and land safely in normal mode, you will have succeeded.”

Hegelhaus’s conditions weren’t harsh, but sothing must be understood: it is impossible for a student who has only touched a basic trainer aircraft to independently operate a large transport plane just after reading the flight manuals.

Especially since Yang Yi had only twenty-four hours, and had read manuals for two completely different aircraft.

If Hegelhaus set any complex conditions under these circumstances, that would be excessively shaless.

Yang Yi reviewed everything he had read in his mind, then started checking the instrunts, and after inspecting all of them, he started the engines and took off.

First takeoff.

Yang Yi rembered all the procedures, and as long as he operated according to regulations, no problems would arise, so he did succeed.

The takeoff was flawless—Yang Yi got the C130 transport aircraft airborne.

Once in the sky, the plane was unlikely to just fall as long as no big mistakes happened, so after flying for fifteen minutes, Yang Yi began preparing to land.

The sa old problem surfaced: Yang Yi was flying a C130 for the first ti.

He had managed to take off successfully, but he was still too unfamiliar with the aircraft.

Hence, during the landing, Yang Yi controlled the airspeed too low—the aircraft aligned with the runway, but would have touched down too far from it to continue the landing, ensuring failure.

No crash would happen, no obstacle to hit.

If this were a real flight, the landing wouldn’t be considered successful, but there wouldn’t be a fatal crash.

But failure is failure, losing is losing.

Yang Yi imdiately increased the throttle, turning the landing into a go-around.

His landing gear was already deployed, yet he still forcefully accelerated and altered the attitude to climb again.

With the gear retracted, he went full throttle.

If the plane had touched the ground, it would have been a botched belly landing, but if he managed to go around, it wouldn’t count as a failure.

No ground contact—the aircraft climbed again, barely five ters above the ground.

Yang Yi successful in the go-around.

Ascending, returning to the sky, lining up with the runway once more, no mistakes occurred this ti.

Though the landing approached the middle of the runway, the C130’s stopping distance was short, and ultimately Yang Yi ended up safely on the runway, not overrunning it, after a successful go-around.

A slight mishap, but the outco was rather decent.

After completing all the finishing touches, Yang Yi sighed in relief, pressing his hands against his overly rapid heartbeat, then turned back, looking at Hegelhaus, “Does this count as a success?”

Hegelhaus was silent for a long ti; being both the gambler and the judge, all it would take was one word, and Yang Yi would be deed to have lost, but Hegelhaus’s dignity prevented him from doing so.

So Hegelhaus’s silence was simply out of shock, pure shock.

He was just able to keep his composure, so even with imnse surprise, it rely manifested as silence, nothing more.
