Chapter 689: 687, Photo Chapter 689: 687, Photo Gao iyun extended her hand and pushed Zhou Bowen, glaring at him coquettishly, “Bowen, I’m not feeling well today.”
Although Zhou Bowen was reluctant, he had no choice but to let go of Gao iyun. He looked at her with a face full of sorrow, “I thought you missed .” His stable position at the Yan owed a lot to Gao iyun’s help.
“I did miss you; it’s just that I just aborted our child, so I’m afraid I won’t be able to do that for the next half month.” Gao iyun said sowhat lethargically. She was in the pri of her years, and her needs for that particular activity were very high. As for her own husband at ho, whether he was there or not made little difference.
“Our child?” Zhou Bowen looked at Gao iyun in amazent. How could she possibly have his child?
“Of course! This child nearly caused a disaster this ti.” Gao iyun recounted last night’s events to Zhou Bowen in a simple manner.
“So it was because of this that you beat your daughter-in-law, and that’s why she wants a divorce?” Zhou Bowen suddenly realized. Li Zhenzhen’s petition for divorce ntioned that she was beaten by her mother-in-law and that her husband had an affair, but it didn’t specify the reason for the beating.
“How did you know she wants a divorce?” Gao iyun asked in surprise.
“I ca to tell you about this. See for yourself.” Zhou Bowen took an envelope out of his briefcase and handed it to Gao iyun.
Gao iyun took it with a puzzled look and started reading.
Anger gradually rose on her face, and her chest heaved with rage, “What a lowly wretch! She’s really got the guts, plotting against . Let’s see how I deal with her!” As she spoke, she began tearing up the docunts in her hands.
“Don’t tear it up, I still need this material,” Zhou Bowen hastily stopped Gao iyun’s actions.
Gao iyun angrily threw the docunt at Zhou Bowen, “What do you plan to do?” That little wench Li Zhenzhen actually dares to covet the Cheng Family’s wealth; she will certainly learn the consequences of her greed.
“So, would you like to drag this out, or shall we handle it swiftly?” Zhou Bowen smiled at Gao iyun, waiting for her answer. The control of the situation was still in her hands; he only needed to execute the plan.
Gao iyun pondered for a mont, “Let’s delay it for ten days to half a month.” It seed she had to accelerate her own plans.
“Then it shall be as you wish,” Zhou Bowen pulled Gao iyun into his arms and, looking down at her with a mischievous grin, said, “I’m so obedient; shouldn’t you reward ? We can’t do that thing, but we can do other things.”
Gao iyun glared at Zhou Bowen coquettishly, “You bad egg!”
Zhou Bowen chuckled and leaned down to kiss Gao iyun. To be honest, he quite liked Gao iyun, especially in bed where she was very unrestrained; she was much better than his own wife who was like a dead pig, offering no charm at all. Plus, if he wanted to climb up the ladder, he had to cling tightly to Gao iyun’s “big thigh.”
ng Yujuan was chatting with Luo Shu in the living room when Li Hui and Li Zhenzhen walked in. ng Yujuan quickly asked, “Have the docunts been submitted?”
“They have been submitted,” Li Hui and Li Zhenzhen each pulled up a chair and sat down on the side.
“Luo Shu, we’ve submitted the docunts to Judge Zhou as you said. What do we do next?” Li Hui asked, looking toward Luo Shu. When they had left, Luo Shu had instructed them to hand over the docunts specifically to a judge nad Zhou Bowen.
“We wait,” Luo Shu said with a sly smile.
“Luo Shu, do you know that Judge Zhou?” Li Zhenzhen asked. She had been thinking about this question all the way there.
“I don’t,” Luo Shu shook her head. It didn’t matter if she didn’t know him; for her plan to work, it was enough that Gao iyun knew him.
“Will he help ? The power of the Cheng Family is huge,” Li Zhenzhen said worriedly.
“Don’t worry, the show is about to begin,” Luo Shu revealed a mysterious smile.
The people exchanged glances, each with a hint of anticipation in their eyes.
Zhou Bowen had just returned to the Yan when the old man at the ssenger room stopped him, “Judge Zhou, there is a letter for you.”
“Okay!” Zhou Bowen nodded his head, walking over with so curiosity. Who could have sent him a letter?
After receiving the letter, Zhou Bowen headed toward his office.
Upon closing the door and settling down at his desk, he tossed his briefcase and the letter onto the desktop, poured himself a cup of water from the teacup, and took a sip.
Looking at the letter on the desk, Zhou Bowen thought for a mont, then reached out, opened it, and dumped out its contents.
Out fell a cassette tape along with a stack of photographs.
Picking up the top photo with suspicion, Zhou Bowen’s complexion changed drastically as soon as he saw its contents. He hastily picked up the rest of the photos. They depicted scenes of his recent eting with Gao iyun in the park, their conversation, embrace, and passionate kisses.
In a panic, Zhou Bowen quickly reassembled everything back into the envelope, then locked it in a drawer. Who had taken these pictures? What was their purpose?
Just then, the phone on the desk suddenly rang.
Zhou Bowen, deep in thought, was startled by the ringing, exhaling a breath nervously. He picked up the phone, “This is Zhou Bowen.”
“You’ve received the items, haven’t you?” A sinister voice ca through the phone.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Zhou Bowen hastily inquired. What was crucial for him now was to understand the caller’s purpose; he absolutely couldn’t let this matter leak. Otherwise, his career would be over.
“You received a divorce case today, didn’t you? What you need to do is to administer justice fairly and ensure the victim gets the maximum benefit. Otherwise…” The caller snickered coldly, the threat clear.
Zhou Bowen clenched his teeth and finally said helplessly, “I understand!” Though filled with reluctance, he knew he had no other choice.
Putting down the phone, Zhou Bowen sighed deeply, slumping into the chair, powerless. He hadn’t anticipated that Li Zhenzhen was not a simple character—she had already set the trap, just waiting for him to fall in.
Gao iyun returned ho and went to her room to rest. At her age, an abortion was definitely harmful to her health. But she couldn’t let her family know about this.
She had hardly fallen asleep when a knocking on the door woke her up.
Groggy, Gao iyun asked irritably, “What is it?”
“Madam, there is a letter for you,” ca the servant’s voice from outside the door.
