Chapter 602: Six hundred, visit Chapter 602: Six hundred, visit Seeing Lu Hanmo next to Luo Shu, Luo Jianmin was sowhat surprised, “Who is he?”
“He is my husband, Lu Hanmo,” Luo Shu introduced. As for Luo Jianmin, Hanmo was aware of him.
“You got married?!” Luo Jianmin looked at Luo Shu with so disbelief, feeling a sense of loss in his heart. Luo Shu had gotten married without even notifying him, her Big Uncle. Had they not t today, he would have remained unaware of the matter.
However, he also knew that he couldn’t bla Luo Shu. After all, when Jiansen wanted to marry Luo Shu off to Second Fool, he hadn’t spoken up to stop it. It was already considerate of Luo Shu to have been sending him things these past couple of years.
“How co Big Uncle is in town?” Luo Shu asked.
“Your Big Aunt went to the city a few days ago and was hit by a car. She has been staying in the hospital ever since. I planned to buy a chicken to help her recover,” Luo Jianmin said, his expression dimming.
“How did she get hit by a car?” Luo Shu asked, frowning. Although they were not close, they were still relatives.
“Your second aunt’s daughter is getting married next month. Your Big Aunt decided to go to the city to buy her a quilt set for the marriage, and on the way back, she was hit by a car,” sighed Luo Jianmin with a heavy heart.
“Did they catch the person responsible?” Luo Shu inquired.
Luo Jianmin shook his head helplessly, “It’s been half a month now, and there’s not a single clue.”
“Which hospital is Big Aunt staying in?” Since she knew about it, of course she had to visit.
“The Third Hospital. Luo Shu, are you going to see her?” Luo Jianmin asked, a bit surprised.
Luo Shu nodded, “Big Uncle, give the ward number where Big Aunt is staying.” Originally, she had planned to leave Cloud City with Hanmo soon after, but now it seed their departure would be delayed.
In the hospital room, He Yujuan lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. The accident had almost depleted her family’s savings, and the doctors had said that even if she were discharged, she wouldn’t be able to work again. With such a future, what was the point of still living?
With those thoughts, He Yujuan glanced around to see if anyone was paying attention to her. The other patients and their relatives were all talking, and no one seed to notice her.
She lifted her hand, trembling as she reached for the small knife on the bedside table. It was a tallic pencil sharpener that Jiansen had bought for her to peel apples.
Finally grasping the sharpener, He Yujuan hurriedly hid it under the blanket, opened it, and heavily slashed her wrist. She had heard that cutting there made the blood flow quickly and death would co swiftly.
A sharp pain surged, and He Yujuan imdiately felt a warm, moist liquid quickly flowing from her wrist.
Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo entered the hospital room and imdiately slled the scent of blood.
Turning towards He Yujuan, they saw a bright red liquid slowly seeping through the blanket. They quickly approached and lifted the blanket, revealing the large red stain on the bedsheet where He Yujuan’s left wrist lay.
Luo Shu imdiately pressed a few points on the inside of He Yujuan’s upper left arm with her thumb. Seeing that the bleeding had slowed, Luo Shu took out an Elixir and stuffed it into He Yujuan’s mouth.
The commotion also drew the attention of the other patients and their families around them, all of whom crowded around.
“What happened here?”
“What’s going on? Is she okay?”
“There’s so much blood! Why would Sister-in-Law Luo think of doing such a thing?”
“If her husband saw her like this, how heartbroken he would be!”
“Quick, call the doctor; let’s not have a death on our hands.”
As He Yujuan drifted in and out of consciousness, she heard the voices of the crowd and slowly opened her eyes. Am I dead or not dead? Why does the person in front of look a bit like Luo Shu?
Seeing He Yujuan open her eyes, Luo Shu asked in a calm voice, “Why would you do such a thing?” Suicide was what she hated most in this life. Many people did everything possible to live but couldn’t, while so, who could live well, insist on seeking death.
“You are Luo Shu…” He Yujuan looked at Luo Shu in surprise. Why would she co to see her?
Luo Shu sighed and nodded, “Big Aunt.” She knew her attitude just now had been sowhat harsh.
“Did you save ?” asked He Yujuan. She was aware that Luo Shu knew dical skills; after all, Luo Shu had dealt with the large-scale virus outbreak in Cloud City.
“Why did you try to take your own life?” Luo Shu’s tone was much softer than before.
“I…I…I’ve used up all the savings, and the doctor said I’ll be unable to work even if I recover. I don’t want to be a burden on Big Uncle…” With that, He Yujuan couldn’t help but start crying.
A doctor with black-frad glasses quickly entered the room with a nurse, heading straight to He Yujuan’s bedside.
Luo Shu stepped aside, allowing the doctor to treat He Yujuan’s wounds.
After examining He Yujuan and seeing no serious issues, the doctor scolded, “How could you do such a foolish thing? Such nonsense! Dress her wounds.”
The young nurse already had gauze and antiseptic ready and promptly stepped forward to sanitize and bandage He Yujuan’s wound. “The cut is quite deep, but why has the bleeding stopped?” Normally, such a wound would result in profuse bleeding.
“I perford acupressure to stop the bleeding,” Luo Shu explained.
The doctor turned to Luo Shu, sizing her up carefully, “You look sowhat familiar to .” But he couldn’t recall where he had seen Luo Shu before.
“Maybe I have a common face,” Luo Shu said with a smile. Her appearance had changed quite a bit in the past two years. Even He Yujuan had to look at her for a long ti to recognize her.
The doctor’s eyes twitched slightly. If she had a common face, then what did that make him?
After treating He Yujuan’s wounds, the doctor gave her a few warnings and then left the room with the nurse.
Luo Shu sat down on the chair beside the bed and said to He Yujuan, “Big Aunt, don’t do anything foolish like this again. I’ll cure the wounds on your body and ensure that you are as healthy as you were before.”
“Can I work again?” He Yujuan asked, her eyes lighting up. This was what she wanted to know the most; she didn’t want to beco an invalid who could do nothing and needed constant care.
