Chapter 123: One hundred twenty-two, division of labor and cooperation Chapter 123: One hundred twenty-two, division of labor and cooperation Luo Qianyu took the small bottle, opened it to look at the pills inside, and a glint of ‘just as I thought’ flashed in his eyes. The pills contained a trace of the Spiritual Spring’s essence, faint though it was, it did not escape his senses. Could it be that Luo Shu was not worried at all that he would detect the Spiritual Spring in the pills?
Back when Lu Hanmo sought dical help from the Divine Doctor Family, the token he carried was said to be given to him by Luo Shu. If that was the case, Luo Shu must be aware of his identity.
Moreover, Luo Shu exhibited the aura of an Ancient Martial Artist, she couldn’t possibly fail to sense the sa kind of aura emanating from him. Was she simply disregarding him, or was it because she trusted him?
Thinking back to the way Luo Shu had just looked at him, Luo Qianyu realized it was the latter.
Looking at Luo Shu again, Luo Qianyu made up his mind on the spot. He decided that from now on, he would treat Luo Shu as his sister and protect her well, to ensure that she would not be bullied by others. Although he disliked her mother, after all, her mother had passed away a long ti ago. And his second uncle had also co to terms with the past.
What was most important was the feeling Luo Shu gave him that made him want to treat her well from the bottom of his heart; even he couldn’t control himself.
“Do you think this dicine can cure everyone?” Seeing the tender gaze Luo Qianyu directed at her, Luo Shu felt very delighted.
“It can!” Luo Qianyu smiled and nodded.
“Then let’s distribute it to everyone.” Luo Shu took out two more bottles of pills from her bag, handing one to Lu Hanmo and keeping one for herself.
Luo Qianyu smiled and nodded, looked at the crowd, and made a quieting gesture with his hand, “Everyone, line up now, I have an announcent to make.”
The crowd quickly ford two orderly lines, looking forward to what Luo Qianyu had to say.
Luo Qianyu surveyed the crowd and said, “The reason you all have rotting symptoms on your bodies is not because you’ve contracted so disease, but because you’ve been poisoned.”
“What! Poisoned? How is that possible?”
“Is this really not an epidemic?”
“I’ve been eating the sa as always, I haven’t eaten anything unusual, have I?”
“Then how did we get poisoned?”
Luo Qianyu raised his hand to signal the crowd to be quiet, then shook the porcelain bottle in his hand, “The Little Divine Doctor has prepared an antidote, and we’re going to distribute it now, one pill per person, please don’t waste it.” The pill contained Spiritual Spring essence, although just a little, it was still worth a fortune.
“This dicine doesn’t cost money, does it?” soone asked uneasily.
“Not a penny!” Luo Qianyu answered affirmatively.
The crowd was imdiately relieved, and while still sowhat perplexed, they looked forward to the antidote Luo Qianyu ntioned.
The pills were tiny, emitting a faint dicinal fragrance.
Upon receiving the pills, so people swallowed them without hesitation. Others watched, hesitating over whether to take theirs. Still others took out handkerchiefs to wrap the pills, planning to wait and see the effects on those who had taken theirs before deciding to consu their own.
The crowd’s thoughts were of no concern to Luo Shu and the others.
After everyone had dispersed, Luo Shu took out several more bottles of pills and distributed them to Luo Qianyu, Lu Hanmo, and Fu Yi, then they split up, each on their own mission. This poisoning incident was a sche by MD Country, and as part of Yan Country, they naturally could not let the enemy’s plot succeed.
Fangting Town might not be large, but it still boasted several hundred households, amounting to at least five or six thousand people. And many of those households had houses to rent.
After a busy afternoon, Luo Shu and her companions finally finished distributing the pills.
Back ho, Luo Shu and Luo Qianyu tirelessly continued making the antidote. The scale of this poisoning incident was too large; aside from Fangting Town, many other small towns in Cloud City and even the urban areas had been affected. If they did nothing, the poisoning would rapidly escalate, and all of Cloud City could face a catastrophic disaster.
The night passed in a flash.
When the sunlight stread into the room, Luo Shu and Luo Qianyu also stopped their work.
Looking at the table and the floor, covered with sacks of pills, they both revealed radiant smiles. Although they were tired, they felt a deep sense of achievent.
Early in the morning, Lu Hanmo was already waiting outside with a small team.
Seeing Luo Shu and Luo Qianyu co out, Lu Hanmo walked up to them, gazing gently and tenderly at Luo Shu, “You’ve worked hard!” If there weren’t so many people around, he really wanted to embrace her.
Luo Shu smiled and shook her head, “I feel quite accomplished, have those people from MD Country been caught?”
“They’ve been caught, but one got away,” Lu Hanmo said with a frown.
Last night, in Weidong Town, they stumbled upon a small squad from MD Country. After a fierce battle, they managed to capture the opponents. It was only during the interrogation that they learned of one escapee. By now, the entire city was under martial law, so unless the fugitive remained hidden, escape was impossible.
“They should be caught soon. The antidote is ready, you can distribute it,” Luo Shu said with a smile.
Lu Hanmo smiled and nodded, then turned to his n, who stared at him as if they’d seen a ghost; he coughed lightly in displeasure.
Startled, the n snapped to attention, standing straight with chests out. They had been incredulous at the sight of Lu Hanmo’s smile, wondering who would believe that their usually stern instructor could smile.
“Now go in and get the dicine, ten bags each!” Lu Hanmo ordered in a stern voice.
“Yes!” the n replied in unison, proceeding to enter the house in order to get their dicine.
As Luo Shu watched Lu Hanmo lead his n away, she withdrew her gaze and exchanged a smiling look with Luo Qianyu.
“Tired, huh? Let’s go inside and get so sleep,” Luo Qianyu said, smiling as he ruffled Luo Shu’s hair. As he realized what he was doing, his hand stiffened slightly. The action had been unconscious but felt so natural, as if he had done it countless tis before.
“Yeah!” Luo Shu’s nose began to tingle, and her eyes started to fill with heat once more. Her father used to ruffle her hair affectionately like this, smiling and talking to her.
