Chapter 1139: 56. Fate

Lu Lanxi glanced up and down at the person, “We’re heading to the Elental Starry Sky too, you can co aboard.” She had a good first impression, so she decided to give a lift since it was on the way.

“Thank you! My na is Qin Junlan, may I know how to address you two?” Qin Junlan gratefully smiled at Lu Lanxi and Yun Han as she boarded the spaceship.

“I’m Lu Lanxi, and he’s Yun Han. There are three other people on the spaceship, my parents and brother, and I’ll introduce you to them when they co out,” Lu Lanxi replied.

Qin Junlan smiled and nodded, “Are you going to the Elental Starry Sky to look for Elental Stones too?” Besides the Elental Stones, the Elental Starry Sky also has Elental Essence, but not many know about it. She learned about it after going there once with her father.

Lu Lanxi nodded, “Let show you to a room.” Since she agreed to let her on board, she should make arrangents, and fortunately, there were spare rooms on the spaceship.

“Thank you!” Qin Junlan expressed her gratitude.

Leading Qin Junlan outside a room, Lu Lanxi opened the door, “You can stay here for now, and in the room next door is my brother, Lu Xuanye,” she pointed to the adjacent room.

“Alright!” Qin Junlan replied with a smile.

Lu Lanxi pointed to the room opposite and said, “That’s my room. If you need anything, you can co find .”

Qin Junlan nodded with a smile, “Do you have a kitchen on the spaceship?” Her cooking skills were decent, and she wanted to prepare so dishes to repay Lu Lanxi for letting her aboard.

Lu Lanxi raised her eyebrows in surprise, “On the upper deck, there’s a kitchen and dining room. If you need ingredients, you can ask my brother.” When Brother Yun Han was building the spaceship, her brother insisted that there be a kitchen and dining room. They could go months or years without eating, but her brother wouldn’t be comfortable for even a few days without food.

“Got it, thank you!” Qin Junlan expressed her thanks.

“Rest up,” Lu Lanxi said after chatting with Qin Junlan for a bit before turning to head outside the spaceship.

Qin Junlan watched Lu Lanxi’s departing figure with a smile and closed the door.

Lu Xuanye felt a bit hungry, so he stopped cultivating, stood up, and walked out the door. He planned to get sothing to eat from the kitchen. Although there was a lot of ready-made food in his Small World, he preferred freshly cooked als for their better taste.

Upon reaching the kitchen, he saw a woman intently chopping vegetables.

Lu Xuanye narrowed his eyebrows in surprise, “Who are you?” When did an unfamiliar woman appear on their spaceship?

Qin Junlan paused her actions and turned to look at Lu Xuanye, “You’re Lu Lanxi’s brother, right? I’m Qin Junlan. My spaceship was damaged by cosmic turbulence and Lu Lanxi and Yun Han took in.” When she cooked, she liked to imrse herself fully, so she hadn’t noticed Lu Xuanye’s arrival.

Lu Xuanye nodded in understanding, stepping forward to look at the vegetables Qin Junlan had chopped, “Are you planning to cook?” He knew soone on the spaceship must have brought Qin Junlan on board; otherwise, the defensive formation set by his father would be challenging for any cultivator to bypass.

Qin Junlan nodded slightly, “I enjoy cooking.” Besides cultivation, her greatest interest was cooking.

Lu Xuanye raised an eyebrow, “Great, I like eating. Do you need any ingredients?” He wondered if her cooking was any good.

“I have the ingredients here, just wait a bit, I’ll finish soon.” Qin Junlan continued chopping vegetables as she spoke. As a chef, nothing made her happier than eting soone with similar interests.

“Let help you, is there anything else that needs preparing?” Lu Xuanye asked, walking over to Qin Junlan’s side.

Qin Junlan glanced at the vegetables on the table, “Then can you help wash the vegetables?” It was clear Lu Xuanye, like her, took food seriously. Otherwise, with their cultivation, they could handle these ingredients with just a thought, without needing to do it themselves.

“Alright!” Lu Xuanye picked up a purple-heart cabbage, placed it in a wash basin, and began washing it.

After handling the vegetables in her hands, Qin Junlan looked at Lu Xuanye and asked, “How do you think this could be cooked to taste better?”

Lu Xuanye looked up at Qin Junlan, “I think blanching it and making a salad preserves its original flavor, keeps the color vibrant, and retains the nutrients.”

“Great minds think alike,” Qin Junlan laughed.

She took a pot and started boiling a jug of spring water, “I specifically collected this spring water from a spring on Pentagon Mountain. It makes the dishes especially delicious.”

“I look forward to it,” Lu Xuanye said, his face full of anticipation.

Once the water boiled, Qin Junlan deftly blanched the vegetables, then cooled them and mixed them with her special seasoning.

“Slls amazing!” Lu Xuanye observed, involuntarily swallowing. He could never resist the temptation of good food.

“Why don’t you try it?” Qin Junlan picked up so vegetables with chopsticks and offered them to Lu Xuanye.

Lu Xuanye opened his mouth to accept the food and gave Qin Junlan a thumbs-up, “Delicious! But why do I feel a sense of familiarity?” As he chewed, he pondered where he had tasted this before.

“You flatter !” Qin Junlan smiled sheepishly, her face reddening as she realized she had just fed Lu Xuanye with chopsticks. How did she not notice her actions were inappropriate?

She glanced at Lu Xuanye and sighed in relief when she saw he didn’t seem to mind.

“I rember now, it was at the Auspicious Cloud Restaurant in Dusk Purple City. That day, I wanted to et the chef, but unfortunately, they were busy,” Lu Xuanye’s eyes twinkled as he looked at Qin Junlan.

“It was you who wanted to et that day?” Qin Junlan also rembered the incident. How coincidental that they hadn’t t then, but in the vastness of space, they encountered each other, a serendipity indeed.

“You’re that chef? I didn’t expect us to et here. Now, I can ask you for so tips.” Lu Xuanye said happily. He had felt regretful not eting the chef that day, but now he was delightedly satisfied.

“I wouldn’t dare say tips, how about we each cook so dishes and let the other taste and critique them?” Qin Junlan suggested. It was rare to et soone with similar interests in The Divine World.

“Great suggestion, let’s begin then,” Lu Xuanye agreed with a smile.
