The dark beasts mouth closed harshly but there was nothing between it’s teeth.

The dark beast opened it’s eyes again wondering where’s it’s prey had gone to. The instant it started searching, it found Linda laying on the ground and soone laying beside her.

"Are you okay? " the person asked.

Cole and Bryan breathed a sigh if relief when they noticed the sudden presence they book most of the pressure might off their shoulder.

"Vincent," Bryan muttered.

The close shave with death snapped Linda back to reality and made her realize sothing Cole had been trying to tell her for a while now.

"If I don’t kill them, they are really going to kill ,"

Having that realization brought back a very dangerous side to Linda as she began her unrelenting and annoyed attacks.

She used her second ability that allowed her to have an almost complete control over the temperature of her flas.

Using that ability, Linda cranked up the temperature so high that each sword slash imdiately killled one dark beast.

Her accelerated kill speed reduced the stress on the others by a lot allowing them to have a more comfortable ti and in no ti they had killed all beast in the small horde.

By the ti the group of four were done killing the dark beast, students that were in their imdiate surroundings could only watch them in shock.

For so unknown reason, the beasts they were previously fighting had left them had sohow joined the horde to attack the group.

After releasing that they were done with the most of the beast that were around at the mont, the group moved together to share their experience.

"Thanks for saving ," Linda said in a slightly hauty tone.

"You are welco," Vincent replied.

He was just about to say sothing more when he was suddenly cut off by Bryan and Cole’s arrival.

"Ohh hello Vincent, thank you for your help," Bryan said with a smile.

Cole couldn’t really point his finger to it but he felt a very weird feeling from Vincent so he tried his best to keep his distance and remaini polite.

In other to do that, Cole stayed a distance away and only sent a nod and a smile towards Vincent way.

The air grew awkwardly silent from that mont on since there was nothing for anyone to do in that instant.

"What’s in you guy’s plan?" Vincent finally spoke up, breaking the awkward air.

The other trio exchanged glances until their gaze finally rested on Cole.

Cole knew that the others were waiting for him to actually do sothing but there was nothing for him to do at such a ti.

So he decided to look around him, ignoring the dark energy fog that was everywhere now. It was then that Cole finally rembered sothing they could do.

"They are so many injured people, we could help them," he Said out loud.

Those words gained the approval of his teammates but also raised so questions in their mind.

"How are are we supposed to do that," Linda asked.

Though he felt like things were still slightly controlled in this location, it was obvious things would be much more worse in other areas.

This thought was an invincible pressure that Cole felt building on his shoulders.

"Firstly let’s check it out though," he said while he began moving.

Cole was already moving towards the closest injured person he could see and trying to access the true severity of the injury.

He arrived in front of a student that looked to be in his first year and was currently being supported by his friends. Cole eyes scanned the students body and saw him holding unto his stomach heavily.

The blood that was dripping from that area looked extrely dark almost black, as if it had been contaminated by sothing unknown.

After observing grossly for a bit, Cole decided to use the Eyes of Scrutiny to see him if he could notice anything inside the person.

He willed the ability activation and his eyes turned a nice golden color along with it being the familiar headache and dizziness.

"When is this even going to stop," he muttered.

Under the Eyes of Scrutiny, Cole was able to see much more than he was previously able to see. Now he could see dark energy like tendrils spreading from the injury point into other areas.

"It’s spreading like roots," he thought to himself.

"That can’t be anything good."

He didn’t attempt to waste more ti trying to find anything again, he only turned around to tell hid friends what he just found out.

"He needs care, extrely fast or—" his face growing grim.

"I think we should assemble them all in one place and then proceed to go get so dical attention," he pitched.

Both Bryan and Linda had no qualms with Cole’s arrangents since they were used to things been done like this but Vincent on the other hand looked as if he had sothing to say.

He opened his mouth to speak but for so reasons he still shut his mouth and followed the plan.

The group then proceeded from one injured person to another with Cole checking their injuries and taking them to prepared area.

About thirty minutes later, they were done bringing the injured to one spot and the sight wasn’t beautiful in any way. There were all sorts of injuries from broken arm to claw slashes and bites.

Cole told the students to try and cultivate gently to allow them to hold on till they returned.

While he checked those who were cultivating with the Eyes of Scrutiny, he noticed the dark energy having a more difficult ti spreading giving them a bit more ti.

"This should be enough to hold on for now," he said to the people behind him.

"Now that we have been able to get the injured together and tried to arrest the situation a little bit,"

"I think it is ti for us to head to the dical center," Cole said.

"But I have to say, it will be extrely dangerous,"

While he said that, his eyes scanned the three people in front of him and seeing no hesitance in them a smile ford on his face

"All right let’s go then."

Though everything had happened extrely quickly and things were still very strange for the group.

They were able to step up and do what was necessary as soon as they could. Cole especially was doing all he could in as short a ti as possible.

While they headed to the dical center of the academy, the look on the group’s face grew more and more grim. In the students line of sight was nothing but destruction.

In the extrely short amount of ti that the weird event had occurred, the academy they knew had changed so much. Buildings that used to look extrely grandiose previously had now changed.

Impact areas, clam marks and all sorts had now littered most of them. So of the buildings were even on fire.

The road that they walked on also wasn’t looking too good since blood marks littered everywhere. Not long ago Cole was even able to see a limb sprawled on the ground.

But what seed to shock Cole from all of this was that, ever since they had left the hostel area they hadn’t encountered a single student or dark beast.

The only things around them were damaged infrastructure which was extrely strange.

"Where do you think everyone went," Cole asked his friends.

They were currently moving at a slightly at a slightly steady pace to avoid making too much noise and attracting the dark beasts.

But the further they went the more the group felt like they weren’t anything to be worried about.

"I think we should move as fast as we can without making any noise,"Linda raised.

Since it had all started a while ago, she had been much more quiet than she previously was and worry was constantly on her face.

It was as if she could sense sothing more was coming and she was busy preparing for it.

"I think that would be a good idea too," Vincent agreed.

Seeing two people pitch sothing so similar, the group had no choice but to follow and move as fast as they could without raising attention.

Now they were moving much faster than they were previously and they were getting closer to the dical centre with astonishing speed.

"We will be arriving there soon, I hope the nurses are there especially the head nurse,"

Cole had seen the severity of most of the people there, despite not intentionally trying to underplay their capabilities. He felt only the head nurse could do sothing about them fast.

In no ti, the dical center was in everyone’s line of sight. And like most buildings there passed on the way, it was deathly silent on the outside.

"Could it be that they aren’t in there," Cole wondered.

Just as he was about to urge the group to move faster they suddenly heard a sound from their academy watches.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

[Important Update from the Academy Officials]

Without even opening up the ssage, Cole felt extrely interested in what was inside of it.

"What could be in there,"
