As soon as Lu Jinhai got the news that Reaper and Mo Chou’s car had indeed gone through the flooded area but wasn’t seen after that, he imdiately mobilized all the forces under him and used his influence as the CEO of Lu Enterprise as well, to initiate a search and rescue operation.
The area that he had to cover in order to search for Mo Chou was pretty large. The CCTV caras had all gotten damaged after the flood and landslide had started.
They still recovered the CCTV footage of the caras from before they got damaged and after watching it, Lu Jinhai roughly estimated the area Mo Chou was most likely to be in and started searching that area first.
They searched for a while but found no signs of her. The flood water had pretty much swept everything away.
Since Lu Jinhai had started searching for Mo Chou as soon as he found out about them heading straight towards the disaster zone, everyone had thought that they had a chance of rescuing her.
But after seeing no signs of Mo Chou or even Reaper, Lu Jinhai’s subordinates were starting to lose hope. They had been searching non stop but it didn’t look like they were going to get a break anyti soon either.
Anyone who wanted to suggest a break took one look at their boss’s face which was frosty as he overlooked everything and stopped themselves.
They hoped that for everyone’s sake, the person they were looking for would be found soon and alive.

"Boss" Huo Zhai approached and addressed Lu Jinhai. "We have found the car that they were in".
Huo Zhai had thought that Lu Jinhai’s mood would improve when he heard of this but he was wrong. Lu Jinhai just nodded his head and told Huo Zhai to lead him towards the car.
It was because Lu Jinhai had already guessed that he wouldn’t be able to find Mo Chou inside the car.
She was intelligent and had sharp senses, so she had most probably evacuated the car before it had gotten swept away in the flood.
Indeed, there were no traces of both Reaper and/or Mo Chou inside the car. The discovery of the car did make it easier to shorten the scope of their search though.
After a little while Huo Jichen ca over hurriedly, saying that they had gotten an update and one of the drones that they had dispatched had spotted sothing.
Lu Jinhai, who hadn’t shown any emotions since the beginning finally showed a hint of nervousness but it was gone by in a flash.
Only Lu Jinhai himself knew about how disoriented he actually was on the inside but he still couldn’t lose his stoic mask in front of his subordinates.
He took a look at the drone footage and saw that it had actually spotted soone hanging on a branch on top of a tree which was miraculously still standing.
But to Lu Jinhai’s dismay, the person was most definitely not Mo Chou. He could tell at a glance that it was a guy.
Lu Jinhai still zood in to take a look at the person. He imdiately recognized Reaper and a glimr of hope lit up in his heart.
Without even wasting a second, he imdiately ordered his n to get the helicopters ready. Lu Jinhai rushed towards one of the helicopters too as he personally wanted to search that area for Mo Chou.
Lu Jinhai had a gut feeling that he would definitely be able to find her there. He also took over the control of the drone so it would be easier to spot her.
While inside the helicopter, Lu Jinhai carefully examined the whole area but to his frustration, he couldn’t see Mo Chou anywhere. The rescue team in the other helicopter were already rescuing Reaper.
After rescuing him, the dical team imdiately started examining him. Lu Jinhai had known that Reaper was unconscious when he saw him from the drone but he still asked the doctor aboard.
The doctor replied that Reaper had sustained a head injury but wasn’t in a life threatening condition. It would take him so ti to gain consciousness though.
Lu Jinhai nodded and told the doctor to continue.
He was still operating the drone when a sudden thought struck his mind. Reaper seed like he wasn’t in any condition to even swim, let alone climb a tree. The only way he would be able to haul himself up the tree is if he got help.
Lu Jinhai hurriedly directed the drone towards the tree again and this ti he spotted the sweater on the bottom of the tree that was almost subrged.
After zooming in frantically, he could also see a pale hand clutching the sweater with a death grip. Lu Jinhai imdiately ordered his n who were still waiting above the tree to retrieve Mo Chou.
He also ordered the entire dical team to be on standby.
Lu Jinhai knew that if he intervened in the rescue, he would only be wasting everyone’s ti which Mo Chou couldn’t afford right now.
The doctors imdiately started providing Mo Chou with CPR while the helicopter headed directly towards the hospital. Lu Jinhai’s helicopter was right behind and he was also receiving updates.
Huo Jichen glanced at Lu Jinhai who was just quietly listening to the updates without any reaction but his tightly clenched fists gave away just how worried he was.
Mo Chou was still receiving CPR and her condition looked quite grim.

The whole Liu family had imdiately rushed to the disaster location after gathering their n and getting everything ready.
Liu Dai was in the lead. When they got there, they encountered Lu Jinhai’s n who were already packing up aside from so experts who were ordered to help with disaster relief.
As the Liu family had gotten the news a little late, by the ti they reached there Mo Chou had already been taken to the hospital. Liu Dai’s secretary who had accompanied him there approached Lu Jinhai’s subordinates to see if they could provide them with information as they were in a hurry to find Mo Chou and Reaper.
Coincidentally the one whom he talked to was the head of the rescue team and after hearing the secretary’s description, he imdiately knew that they were looking for Mo Chou and Reaper.
Instead of telling him right away, he called Huo Jichen and told him about the situation.
Huo Jichen approached Lu Jinhai who had been standing in front of Mo Chou’s hospital room like a statue and relayed the information to him and asked him what he should do next.
Lu Jinhai didn’t want to tell the Liu family about Mo Chou as they would probably try to take her away from him. But thinking of how she might want to be with her family once she gained consciousness, he still reluctantly told him to direct them towards the hospital.
Huo Jichen directly talked to Liu Dai’s secretary and inford them that both Reaper and Mo Chou had been rescued. Thinking of how his boss might want more ti with Mo Chou, he only told them Reaper’s hospital room number and hung up.
The door opened as soon as Huo Jichen was done with the call and the doctor exited with a nervous expression.
"Thankfully, the patient is out of danger but it seems like her body has gone into shock. We do not know when the patient will wake up or if she will wake up at all" the doctor inford Lu Jinhai with a grave voice.
Huo Jichen watched silently as his boss, who never showed even a hint of weakness, crumpled like a piece of paper in front of his very eyes.
