Old master Liu was reading the report regarding Mo Chou’s recent activities that his butler had compiled and given him.
Although old master Liu kept tabs on his whole family, he didn’t really feel the need to really know any of their activities as long as they were fine. The only reason he got the news about An Daiyu so quickly was because he had asked his old butler to keep special tabs on her specifically because he felt slightly responsible towards her due to her grandfather.
He had also found An Daiyu a little pitiful as she had lost all her family.
The butler was standing by the side watching the old master read quietly.
Old master Liu adjusted his reading glasses, he was quite surprised by what he was reading.
"Is all this information true?" He asked the old butler.
"Of course master, you know I wouldn’t report anything false. All this information is true" the butler replied firmly.
"But don’t you think that my granddaughter’s change is too drastic, do you know what caused her to change in the first place?" questioned old master Liu.
" It seems like the young miss got into an accident at university and started showing changes after that, I also got to know that one of her forr friends was the one who caused her to get injured, perhaps that was the reason"?
"Ohh, did she get a head injury?" asked old master Liu with concern.
The butler felt that it was kind of funny, "No, not that I know of and I don’t think a head injury would change a person like this".
"Hmm, you’re right, I think that her changes are not a bad thing at all, in fact everyone seed very happy when I visited them recently, they even act like a close family now making this old man feel jealous" old master Liu said jokingly patting his chest.
The butler also gave him a sad smile, he knew that the old master was quite lonely and he really did want the company of his family, it was just that he was too awkward to ask them to visit him.
"What about the girls accusations, did you look into it? Though I don’t think that she is telling the truth, I still want to look into it" asked old master Liu.
The butler replied,"yes, I did look into it and found so pretty interesting things, you might want to see it yourself". He handed the tablet he had prepared to the old master.
Old master Liu took the tablet curiously and pressed play on the video, It was actually the full footage that the butler had gotten from the news company.
"That’s interesting, did you interrogate everyone?" asked old master Liu.
"Yes I did, I interrogated all the staff at the hotel where the video was fild and also the reporters who were present at the scene".
"And what did you find exactly?" asked old master Liu.
"That day, the CCTV caras were turned off in the entire hotel by the order of Cao Yuze who is the nephew of the hotel’s owner and also the guy in the video. The guards were also ordered to let the reporters inside without question".
"So it was fully planned, but who is the mastermind?" asked old master Liu.
"Cao Yuze is a forr classmate of An Daiyu and I confird that An Daiyu had entered a hotel with him previously too. The phone which was used to ssage the reporters also belongs to An Daiyu, plus An Daiyu was the one who invited young miss to dine in that hotel. A hotel staff also saw Cao Yuze and An Daiyu taking the seemingly drunk young miss to the elevator" replied the old butler.
It was obvious that who was at fault by his words, he also added his own opinion and said, "An Daiyu probably had malicious intentions towards the young miss and drugged her and as for the rest, I don’t know if her failure was caused by sothing else or our young miss was responsible for it. Even if the young miss had a hand in it, I wouldn’t bla her as she was sched against first, I can’t imagine the consequences if An Daiyu and Cao Yuze had succeeded".
"Of course I don’t bla my granddaughter," old master Liu said with a firm tone, "what happened to that girl is a consequence of her own actions. Although she was punished, I don’t think An Daiyu will stop so I want you to make her regret ssing with our Liu family. Oh, and also deal with Cao Yuze too. I hope I won’t hear about them making any further trouble again".
"Yes of course, I will deal with them right away".
Old master Liu suddenly gave out a sly smile and said in a bragging tone, "don’t you think my granddaughter is so good, she resolved the situation without getting involved"
Old butler rolled his eyes at old master Liu’s words. Aside from him, no one knew that the serious and frigid old master liked bragging about his grandchildren and children to him whenever they achieved sothing good.
"She even got good scores and is even famous online. Do you have such good grandchildren like Liu Dai and Mo Chou"?
"I didn’t even get married, how will I have grandchildren?" The butler glared at the old master making him look away, it was actually because of old master Liu that the butler had never gotten married.
They were actually friends who had t during their military service and the old butler had followed old master Liu after finishing their military services.
"It wasn’t like I didn’t try to convince you to get a wife but you were the one who said you couldn’t because you were too ’busy’ " old master Liu whispered under his breath.
The butler glanced at old master Liu in disdain. Before the old master retired, he had been busy handling all the minor stuff at the company as old master Liu didn’t trust anyone else and after he retired, it was too late for the butler to get a wife.
"At least, you have right?" Old master Liu tried to cheer the butler up.
Old butler "...."
"By the way, have you found anything new regarding ’that person’?" asked old master Liu in a serious tone.
"Actually, I did find sothing. Apparently ’he’ was related to so organisation. We might find the child if we start from there" the old butler replied.
"I hope we find the child soon, the poor child has been apart from his family for too long. I know that even though my daughter-in-law doesn’t ntion this matter anymore, she still can’t let it go" Old master Liu sighed.
"Don’t worry master, we will definitely find him soon" the butler reassured him.
"Hmm, I’m tired and would like to go to bed now".
Old master Liu got up from his chair and put aside his reading glasses. He went to his bedroom and quickly fell asleep.
The old butler looked in the direction of the old master’s bedroom and sighed. His old master was really a lonely person even though he had a big family. He really hoped that the old master would stop pretending to be so rigid and chasing everyone away.

Mo Chou returned to the Liu mansion in a good mood. Mo Li was the first to see her and was happy to see that Mo Chou had beco more cheerful and relaxed again.
"Hmm, did sothing good happen at the University"?
Mo Chou smiled and thought of sothing, "actually and my friends made plans for the weekend together".
"Ohhh, nice what are you all going to do?" asked Mo Li.
"We’re just going on a trip to a beach, nothing drastic and a picnic".
"Should I help you make food?" Mo Li asked excitedly.
Mo Chou panicked imdiately upon hearing Mo Li’s words, she was really scared of her mothers legendary cooking now, she hurriedly waved her hands and said, "actually my friends really want to personally make sothing for them".
Mo Li smiled and said, "you’re going to cook? I want so too, make so extra so mommy can try okay"?
"Sure," Mo Chou nodded, relieved that Mo Li didn’t insist on cooking.
"Try what?" Liu Dai, who had just entered the house, asked them.
"Our dear Mo Chou is going to cook for a picnic with her friends. I just wanted to try so" answered Mo Li, looking proud.
Mo Chou felt slightly embarrassed, she didn’t even know how the food was going to turn out but Mo Li already seed proud as if she was a Michelin level chef.
" too," said Liu Dai.
"Huh, you want to try too. Why don’t you make a little more darling so that everyone can try so" said Mo Li.
Mo Chou looked at Mo Li’s puppy dog eyes and pleading expression and said, "sure, but just don’t expect anything good".
"Haa, I’m sure my daughter is a great cook, just like " Mo Li said smugly.
Mo Chou and Liu Dai, ’.....hopefully not’.
