He unrolled the entire scroll as fast as he could.
“Mayor Liu, I had asked this master specifically for this. She had heard of all of your accomplishnts and painted this just for you. We wish Mayor Liu a bright future, to stand above all, and riches from the east!”
Gu Jiangxin had only been testing water up to this point but seeing that Mayor Liu had not tried to stop him at all. It was only obvious that they were in agreent with each other.
As such, Gu Jiangxin decided to stop concealing his intention and said it out loud. In fact, he stressed about the work he had put in in obtaining this painting and presented the painting that was intended for him as it being intended for Mayor Liu entirely.
Mayor Liu was infuriated as he listened to Gu Jiangxi’s words.
Snickering, he followed where Gu Jiangxin was pointing and looked over at this painting that was allegedly “painted just for him”.
When he took a look at it, he almost threw his head back and had blood spitting out of his mouth!
“Look at this water, isn’t that just like money coming from the east?”
“Now look at this man in his yellow robe. Is it a depiction of a hardworking governnt official just like Mayor Liu…”
Gu Jiangxin interpreted the painting patiently to Mayor Liu.
He was half way through when he was cut off by the loud noise of Mayor Liu slamming his palm down hard on the surface of a desk.
Mayor Liu had only taken one look at the bucket that the man was holding and the water stain on the ground and Gu Jiangxin saying that man was a depiction of him when his face went from black to green, and from green to beet red!
All of his blood rushed to his head and he couldn’t help but slamd on the surface of the desk!
The man carried with him a bamboo bucket and water leaked all over the ground. One could see the path made by the water the entire way…

Everything that he desired, wanted, dread of would be gone just like water. It ant to say that he would not be able to keep any of it!

He had been prior to coming here that there was a lot going on behind the scenes in this region and that he should take it slow and not make any rash moves.
He assud they were talking about a lot of unspoken favors being exchanged.
Blatant threats were not sothing he had expected!
