Chapter 173 – Why Don’t You Just Die

The old lady wore a Tang Suit/Tang dynasty dress, her expression pleasantly happy and her slightly overweight physique was pretty much pressing down onto the housewife beside her entirely.

She wore a round pearl necklace on her neck and a gold ring on her finger. She looked languid, but whenever she walked she kept going ‘ayo ayo’ non-stop. Her steps were small so it took them a good while before they made it to the sofa where she laid down. Her raised eyes gave Old Man Gan a side glance before she spoke, “Doctor Gan ah, could you prescribe so more dicine for ? Not only does my entire body still hurt, it even itches…”

Doctor Gan dimly shook his head and walked over to take her pulse, “Your problem actually wasn’t that serious. You should get better after a few days of taking the dicine. But since you said you feel itchy, then that ans you definitely consud so seafood recently, am I right?”

If it weren’t for the fact that they’d already paid the consultation fees and that he’d promised to help cure this old lady of her problems, why would he waste his ti with this old lady?

“Who’s swinging a blade to malign ? These old bones are already killing whenever it hurts, why wouldn’t I listen to your advice? I take my dicine every day and even abstained from certain foods. Xiang Jin, don’t you agree with …” the old lady asked the housewife. The mont the elderly opened her mouth, she machine-gunned through a whole bunch of words.

The housewife was startled and a little hesitant.

Old Man Gan knew for sure then that Xiang Jin didn’t want to lie, but she didn’t dare tell the truth either. (there’s a typo in the raw, not sure if it’s a typo or on purpose but it basically removes the ‘not’ in telling the truth) He actually didn’t expect her to speak up, however, in case the old lady started harping again.

He just directly wrote up a prescription and passed it over, “I’ve added a new type of herb into your prescription, make sure to eat it on ti, but if this happens again next ti, then there’d be nothing more I can do. Oh, right,” Grandpa Gan rembered, “take her pulse.”

As he said this, there was already a trace of impatience on his face.

The old man’s temper was usually quite good, so it was quite rare for Jing Yun Zhao to see this kind of look on him.

But it made more sense as she thought about it; There were people who were ill and wanted to get better but couldn’t, then there were people who didn’t appreciate their own bodies. They bet on their own health and treated it as a ga. Jing Yun Zhao truly didn’t understand; What’s the point in treating these kinds of people?

She ultimately still went forward. The old lady had a look of dissatisfaction in her eyes, but because of the presence of Old Man Gan, she bore with it and let Jing Yun Zhao take her pulse

However, this old lady was very impatient. With just a blink of an eye, she tucked her hand back in again with a look of ‘I already gave it to you’. Jing Yun Zhao then went on to ask a few questions, but the old lady ignored her as usual. In fact, it was the housewife beside her who frantically tried to answer her questions in detail.

This old granny’s hips weren’t good. At its worst, she couldn’t even walk from the pain. At the sa ti, her whole body would feel very itchy, making it hard for her to bear.

She then asked the old man about what kind of dicine he prescribed and the effects that it had. anwhile, she found sothing laughable.

Her grandpa’s dicine was used to treat the root of the granny’s problems. There would be relief from the pain after consumption and there would only be that itchy feeling when the body was recovering. However, the whole house was saturated with the faint sll of ointnt. This was especially true for the old lady’s body, the sll was completely different from the one that her grandpa had prescribed.

“Granny, saring your whole body with ointnt to stop the itching won’t help. The illness is from within the body, if you don’t take your dicine on ti, you won’t get better,” Jing Yun Zhao quietly threw a straight ball.

This old lady treated people like slaves, ordering them about, but had absolutely no intention of keeping people’s well-intentioned reminders to heart.

The old lady’s eyes almost popped out, glaring fiercely at Xiang Jin sitting at the side, “You little bitch! It’s you who’s speaking nonsense to other people! I really want to tear your mouth apart for going around spreading drivel! Why don’t you just die?!”

Unable to watch any longer, Jing Yun Zhao frowned, her attitude becoming cold.

“You’re scolding the wrong person. My sense of sll is good, so I can sll the ointnt on you.” She coldly harrumphed and continued, “We won’t care in your ways of teaching your children and in-laws, but please mind yourself and practice so restraint. Don’t insult the doctor’s prescription just so you can tornt your daughter-in-law. Those who need a doctor aren’t just your family.”
