No matter what, it will never directly affect the PVP card table.
Stuff like "Foreseeing the Future" and "Undoing Play", they are all things of the past in playing cards history.
For instance, Ree Shil’s "Absolute Card Sense" ability, which allows him to see through draw cards, card-making, and BOSS cards, but he can’t see through other card players’ cards on a real PVP card table.
Similarly, Mossy Mushroom’s "Mushroom King’s Arrival" turns all cards he obtains into mushroom cards. However, this is an evolution based on the collected cards, not a direct impression of the card table.
As for Straw Man’s "Otherworldly Walker", it has nothing to do with the card table at all.
In fact, many people’s card-playing talents are rather wasted and not very useful.
"In a sense, my card-playing talent can be played out on the table."
However, Daniel Smith’s words did pique so interest.
"Then hurry up and reveal your card so I can check it out."
Ree Shil said jokingly.
"No, I absolutely won’t be the first to reveal my card. At the very least we should reveal them together!"
Daniel still insisted on his aningless superstition.
"Fine, I’ll reveal mine first then."
Ree Shil suddenly smiled mischievously.
"Did you just say that neither of us should play a C-rank card in this ga?"
"Hmm? I did say that..."
Daniel felt a sense of déjà vu.
"But I don’t think I agreed with you though."
"???"
Ree snapped his fingers.
Ding!
His second covered card suddenly popped up, spinning quickly on the card table.
Although it didn’t land and expose itself imdiately, judging from the intensity and color of the shining light, it was undoubtedly a C-level card.
In fact, he was very confident in his next drawn card.
100% confident that he’d lose to the opponent.
"You, you’re such...a scoundrel!"
Unaware Daniel was visibly annoyed, but then his tone changed: "But I like it~"
"Now you’ll get to see my card-playing talent - Destiny Card!"
Daniel revealed a satisfied smile and turned over his second covered card.
Bam!
A column of light shot up on the spot.
But this card didn’t have any projection, or rather, the projection itself was a card.
Now it was floating above the card table, gently bobbing up and down.
"Destiny Card?"
This was Ree’s first ti hearing such a term. He beca curious and looked at the card face.
[Card of Fairness]
Balance, 0 points, D
Attack 0, 100/100
[Fairness Rule 1 - Passive]: When the Card of Fairness is revealed, select another card that’s being revealed at the sa ti to duplicate
"Eh?"
After reading the card face, he was stunned.
A card with 0 points that can copy an opponent’s card - the Card of Fairness didn’t fail to live up to its na.
But the real reason for his shock was...
His card finally stopped spinning and landed on the card table, and its projection hopped out imdiately.
[Woohoo~]
A ghost-fire youth astride a modified electric car appeared.
[Ghostfire Boy]
Chasing the wind, 60 points, C
Attack 30, 80/100
[Ghostfire roars - Passive]: Ghostfire Boy cannot survive for more than 3 rounds once revealed
[Parental Waste - Passive]: Ghostfire Boy’s score doubles
This was the... well what should I call it?
Ah yes, it’s a charity card, specifically prepared for his opponent.
But ironically, Daniel ended up copying this card.
[Woohoo~]
The Card of Fairness instantly transford into an exact replica of Ghostfire Boy.
Seeing his destiny card turn into a garbage card, Daniel was startled as well.
"What kind of person are you!"
Could this guy foresee the future and sohow see his deck of cards beforehand?!
"...If I said it was a coincidence, would you believe ?"
Ree Shil was helpless.
However, before Daniel could respond, the card table suddenly flashed with light.
Boom!
An explosion happened, and then the ga ended.
The scoreboard showed...
Ree Shil won.
Daniel lost.
"???"
"Did you cheat?"
"No, this isn’t fair!"
Daniel Smith was stunned, imdiately raising a loud protest.
Cube cards always boasted fairness, so why was there a rule that automatically declared a loss before the ga was even finished?!
"...Maybe your score overloaded."
Ree Shil was also quite puzzled, and could only guess wildly.
"Huh?"
Daniel Smith thought about it and it seed to make sense.
The score cap for a ga with three-plus-one is 120 points. This "Ghostfire Boy" alone is worth 60 points, taking up 50% of the score cap.
Combined with the other cards I have, it’s bound to exceed the maximum limit, and by a lot.
"You’re really amazing, you even calculated this step!"
After thinking it through, his gaze towards Ree Shil beca more serious.
"..."
Ree Shil really wanted to say he was not a god, there was no way he could calculate such things.
"I’ll go back and practice hard, and challenge you again next ti!"
"With that said, he left without a backward glance."
"This guy is really annoying."
Watching his retreating figure, Ree Shil rembered he didn’t even know the guy’s na.
minutes later, on the way ho.
"Not right!"
"I’ve been bluffed by him!"
Daniel Smith suddenly had an epiphany.
I have used this "Card of Fairness" on others before, why is it that when playing against that guy, the score overloads and explodes the table?
If this was the case, wouldn’t the summon cards for second-level units overload and explode the table in minutes?
And why did I have a feeling of déjà vu when my Destiny Card was revealed?
Also, I don’t seem to know that guy’s na yet, do I?
...
The next morning, Ree Shil unwillingly got out of bed.
Today, he was going to work.
After a simple wash, he went downstairs.
The Mossy Mushroom had already prepared today’s breakfast: mushroom sandwiches.
"Has it not gotten up yet?"
Ree Shil had probably eaten this thing about 100 tis, and it tasted like chewing wax.
Mossy Mushroom: "Not yet."
Ree Shil: "I am really disappointed with its laziness."
He would not allow a situation where one person was going to work and the other was at ho, unless the one at ho was him.
So, after discussing with Mossy Mushroom, the two of them woke this guy up and forcibly took him to work.
The place they worked was not far from their ho, about a 10-minute walk.
So, in no ti, they arrived in front of this building that looked like a large sports stadium.
The Showcase Club.
This is where they work.
The Showcase Club has a long history, asured in centuries.
At its peak, it used to have branches in all the major cities, effectively monopolizing the entire industry.
But later on, due to poor managent, it gradually declined.
Now, only one store in their tier-3 city remains.
The value of a card club lies not only in providing mbers with a satisfying card-playing environnt but also in its important function of running simulated card gas.
The so-called simulated card gas can be understood as playing on an electronic simulation system modeled after cube cards, using cards that do not belong to you.
After entering through the employee entrance, the three of them split up and went to their respective departnts.
Ree Shil arrived quite early, at this ti there was only the supervisor in the rest room.
The supervisor was a blue-skinned humanoid with a horn on his head. Seeing Ree Shil, he imdiately smiled at the red rank sparring partner.
"Coach Shil is congratulated, you have finally beco a card player."
With that, he gave Ree Shil the finger.
In his original world, this gesture represented the best because middle finger is the longest.
"Thank you, supervisor."
Honestly, Ree Shil was quite uncomfortable at first, but it was easier to accept when he considered it as their equivalent to a thumb up gesture in the Blue Star Cultural Circle.
"You’re finally back. During this ti, the custors who wanted to play against you have almost driven crazy."
The supervisor started to complain.
"What kind of people are they, let see."
Ree Shil took a seat.
"Looking at your attitude, sotis I am not sure whether the custors are picking you or you are picking the custors."
The supervisor gave a rueful smile and took out a stack of reservation forms.
"I can’t help it, who made popular."
As Ree Shil spoke, he picked out a few forms: "I’m only available for these few in the next two days."
These few were familiar custors, sowhat like friends.
"That works."
The supervisor seed to have anticipated this. He picked up one of the reservation forms and smiled: "Miss Smith is already waiting for you in the private booth."
