Chapter 704: Chapter 660: Initiating Promotion

For the sorcerer world, the most central place is none other than the inner city of Truth City, with the entire inner city built around the sorcerer’s supre formation—the Witch King Multi-Phase Array.

The core of the inner city is the Peak of Truth and the Supre Court.

The Peak of Truth has three tiers of celestial streets. The lowest tier is called the ‘Court of Great Scholars,’ the middle tier is the ‘Arcane Court,’ and the highest tier is the ‘Great Sage’s Court.’

Golden Rock Towers are erected on each celestial street, and the higher one goes, the fewer the number of towers but the greater the number of floors.

The Great Sage’s Court has only nine Golden Rock Towers, each standing at seven stories tall, serving as residences for six Void King Wizards and two Great Sages. The remaining tower has yet to find its master.

“Ti flies so quickly. Thinking back to the days when the three major alien races brazenly attacked our sorcerer world, advancing unstoppably all the way to this place, leaving only the inner city as a lone fortress still standing—what a perilous situation that was!”

“Stop reminiscing. That war was barely fifty years ago, not even sixty. Now, the Thunder Clan is destroyed, the Feather Clan is decimated, and the Black Scale Clan has retreated to their underwater refuge.”

“Exactly, exactly. Thanks to the tily arrival of the King of the Long Sky and the Black Fla King, who used unparalleled strength to frighten off the elite fighters of the three clans.”

In today’s sorcerer world, six Void Kings stand as sentinels, and Truth City has maintained its steady peace, unchanged for a decade.

Every ti sorcerers living in the inner city look up and gaze at the Golden Rock Towers at the highest peak of Truth, a sense of pride and peace spontaneously rises in their hearts. They always share a few words with those beside them, reminiscing about the war between the four races back in the day.

No one knows, however, that within two of those Golden Rock Towers, significant events were unfolding that could determine the future course of the sorcerer world.

The protagonists of this era were none other than the King of the Long Sky and the Black Fla King who once descended from the heavens.

Fifteen years ago, the King of the Long Sky, Galif Fitzgerald, shut himself within the first Golden Rock Tower of the Great Sage’s Court, comncing his exploration of the path to the throne.

Half a month ago, the Black Fla King, Ivan Marichardon, sealed himself in the sixth Golden Rock Tower, similarly attempting to ascend to the throne.

Under the concealnt of various forces, the advancent of the two went entirely unnoticed, leaving Truth City as serene as ever.

“From the ergence of the first Arcane Wizard, Betta, to now, more than 3,200 years have passed. We sorcerers have waited a long ti for this day.”

“Indeed, over three thousand years. It’s high ti the sorcerer world produced a Level 6 Sorcerer.”

“Not so, not so. A Level 6 Sorcerer does not necessarily equate to a Throne Wizard. According to the Black Fla King’s assessnt, ascending from a Level 5 Sorcerer to a Level 6 Sorcerer, and then from a Level 6 Sorcerer to a True King Wizard, is the complete process required to consolidate a throne in one unrelenting push.

Only a True King Wizard can lead us sorcerers forward amidst these increasingly turbulent tis. Otherwise, we would rely be pawns in soone else’s ga of chess.”

At the inaccessible Supre Court, four Void King Wizards stood by the city’s walls, their hearts far less at ease than the sorcerers below.

Ultimately, it all cos down to the fact that Void King Wizards before them had tried to take this step, but they all failed. No one had yet succeeded in carving out a path to the throne.

To this day, the King of the Long Sky and the Black Fla King still needed to forge their own way forward, thereby opening an unprecedented path for sorcerers.

The lack of precedent ant countless unknown risks, which understandably worried everyone present.

“We must have faith in the King of the Long Sky, and even more so in the Black Fla King. These two are anything but ordinary figures.”

“Hmm, let’s disperse. Standing around here won’t accomplish anything. Maintaining our usual routine ensures that no one notices any anomalies.”

“Shall we continue our next deliberations?”

“Of course. As ntioned, everything remains unchanged. We’ll et five years from now, and it will still be just the four of us.”

Despite the unease in the hearts of the King of Ten Thousand Woods and the others, they did not lose their composure. If sothing were to happen to the sorcerer world, they would have let down the two striving for the throne.

At this crucial juncture for the King of the Long Sky and the Black Fla King, the best they could do was to ensure that everything in the sorcerer world remained calm and steady.

Ti, like fireflies, always flickers away in a flash.

Endless Spirit Workshop, Zone Six—the Locking Star Domain.

Inside, the Sin Extinguishing Giant Mill perpetually rolled ahead, ceaselessly grinding the spirits of sin beneath it, eliciting wails and cries from them.

“Ah, listen. Isn’t this sound delightful?”

“The Workshop Master is right; it’s like hearing one song after another—a symphony of guilt from the depths of the heart.”

Not far from the Giant Mill, Locke suddenly blurted out a remark that left his subordinates exchanging bewildered glances, yet they had no choice but to reluctantly agree with their boss’s words.

“Look at you all—did you misunderstand? What I an is that the louder the sound here, the more it proves how much effort we’ve put in over the years.

Think back—when we first took charge of the Locking Star Domain, there wasn’t a single spirit of sin to be found. It was barren. But now? Isn’t it thanks to my leadership that we’ve captured them one by one?”

“Well yes, the Workshop Master speaks the truth. Over the years, you’ve indeed worked tirelessly, even—”

“Enough, enough. Always flattering. Soone as pragmatic as doesn’t enjoy listening to such things. You should learn from Martin and Dante—they…”

Locke was speaking earnestly to his subordinates, but midway through his speech, he abruptly stopped.

Suddenly energized, he rushed toward the layered mountain ranges outside, leaving his subordinates baffled. Worried that sothing major might have happened, they quickly followed him.

“Greetings, Great Workshop Master.”

“Greetings, Great Workshop Master.”

Beside a white palace on the mountain, as Locke arrived, two figures—one tall and one short—hastily bowed.

“Good, good, good! I knew you two brothers wouldn’t disappoint . Now we’ve finally got so capable hands on our side, sparing from having to personally lead every operation. Haha!”
