Chapter 516: Chapter 514: Crimson Empire

East Capital.

Lanque carried a group of people swiftly back to the Rapid Wood Tower.

Not long after, Ivan, Hotter, Gerry, Jenny, and Tanaya jointly visited a seven-story tower in the city center to et with Hardy, the busy President.

“Have you gathered all the information?” President Hardy naturally knew the purpose of their visit.

“The Great Commander of the Crimson Legion, the Legion Chief of the Blackbeard Legions, commonly referred to as the ‘Blackbeard Queller’—do you know of this Insect Race lord?” Ivan reported truthfully about the enemy.

“So, it’s the remnants of the Crimson Legion. You’ve chosen quite the adversary for yourselves.”

...

Upon hearing the words ‘Crimson Legion,’ President Hardy’s face also beca more solemn.

A na casts its shadow, as a person builds their reputation.

The Crimson Legion was indeed renowned; there were tis when their re ntion made many cower in fear.

“President Hardy, perhaps we should start by discussing the Crimson Legion,” urged Hotter.

“You are not aware of the notorious Crimson Legion?”

“Heh, surely not as much as you, Great Sage. Instead of asking around, it would be better if we heard it from you. Once you’ve spoken, we’ll understand everything,” Hotter replied with a chuckle.

“You sure know how to take the easy way out.”

Seeing Hotter’s unabashed deanor, Hardy Charosi playfully rebuked everyone present and laughed on his own.

Ivan couldn’t help feeling embarrassed.

His initial plan was to activate his powers to search for all the available information about the Crimson Legion and then co to President Hardy for discussion. However, Hotter indicated that coming here would be more efficient.

After all, President Hardy had promised to help with such minor requests.

Moreover, as Great Sage, the information President Hardy held was surely the most comprehensive and accurate. Why go to far places searching for what is close at hand? That would be a waste of ti and effort.

Ivan actually felt slightly dishonorable, but after Hotter’s repeated persuasion, he still agreed to co straight here.

“When ntioning the Crimson Legion, one cannot ignore the ‘Supre Red.’ She is also revered as the ‘Red Empress’ and the ‘Crimson Insect Emperor.’ It was her rise that led to the creation of an Insect Empire stretching across multiple planes—the Crimson Empire.

During the height of the Crimson Empire, they terrorized the Star Realm, rampant and unbridled, sweeping across many worlds.

Even our Danaila World could not escape; they stirred up much bloodshed, even subjugating several lordships of insect origin—

So say that the Supre Red was born in a world known as ‘Fairy World.’

In the end, she also tried to conquer that Fairy World, but in the end, the entire Crimson Legion was defeated and the Crimson Empire fell apart, gradually fading into obscurity,”

President Hardy narrated in minute detail, and through his words, a once-great Insect Empire slowly unfolded.

The power of the Crimson Empire was one aspect, but what drew even more attention was its imperial modus operandi. Wherever it went, all living things beca its food, leading to the extinction of life, with so planes even being destroyed entirely.

Ivan and the others listened, shocked beyond asure.

“President Hardy, and what about this Blackbeard Queller?” Hotter asked further.

“Tell about his appearance,” President Hardy did not answer imdiately.

“I’ve only seen his divine idol.”

While explaining, Ivan projected an image of the Blackbeard lord.

It depicted a rotund creature with broad wings, its body and wings covered in black beard-like bristles, densely packed with sharp spikes, and nurous tentacles hanging below its body.

The figure was indeed bizarre.

He also described the situation with the Black God Abyss, noting that this place also held a special existence and might be connected to the creature.

President Hardy slowly shook his head.

“You don’t know either?”

“During the zenith of the Crimson Empire, there were nurous commanders under the Supre Red. They didn’t heavily invade our Danaila, and we sorcerers have never confronted them directly. How could I possibly know all the details?”

In the end, it was because the sorcerers had not been established for long and lacked a strong foundation.

Ivan and the others indicated their understanding.

“President, is it possible to use prophetic abilities to predict without alarming that black-bearded lord?” Ivan exchanged a glance with Hotter and stepped forward to ask a question.

He had once used the Prophet’s Power to predict the inheritance of the Justice Star Ancestor, with gratifying results, which spoke volus about his unique ability in this regard.

Near the Black God Abyss in the Black Mirage Great Marsh, he considered using the Prophet’s Power, but after weighing the decision repeatedly, he ultimately gave up. The black-bearded lord was a living being, which could easily trigger other changes.

At the very least, it might startle the quarry; at the worst, it could lead to a severe backlash, so he had to be cautious.

He had also asked Hotter and Gerry. Needless to say, Hotter was one of the arcane wizards with lesser knowledge, and Gerry wasn’t an arcane wizard, lacking the distinctive thods of controlling prophecy.

Hotter imdiately stated that President Hardy definitely had such thods and that they were quite sophisticated, likely to go completely unnoticed by the black-bearded lord.

“Ivan, the ability to prophesy is not lightly used and requires a unique power as a price,” President Hardy said somberly.

Hearing this, Ivan felt not alarm but delight, which suggested that the President truly possessed such thods—a fitting mark of the Great Sage.

He promptly presented his “Book of Enlightennt,” which recorded five prophetic seals, each made up of the Prophet’s Power and wholly unique.

The Book of Enlightennt was the token of the Five Leaves Spear. Currently, the Five Leaves Spear was barely functioning, and the few leaders didn’t take it seriously.

Ivan didn’t mind revealing so information to President Hardy, as his main priority was his trust in President Hardy’s character.

“It’s possible, but not enough.”

“I have mine too.”

Hotter and Gerry promptly offered up their Books of Enlightennt.

As for Tanaya’s, she had destroyed it herself long ago and had not received a new one since.

“Very well, I shall make a journey to the Black Mirage Great Marsh myself,” President Hardy glanced over the group, not saying much else, agreeing to personally investigate the Black God Abyss.

“Thank you for your trouble.”

“You all should return first; we can discuss further when I co back.”

Seeing him say this, Ivan and the others gracefully left the sorcerer tower.

With President Hardy taking action, they should be able to get a clear understanding of the black-bearded lord.

“Ivan, don’t you think you’re stirring up too much trouble?” Hotter said outside the sorcerer tower.

“How else am I to beco an arcane wizard?”

Ivan remained unfazed, his goal not to rely on luck like Hotter but to ensure a sufficiently high success rate for his advancent, aspiring to beco an arcane wizard in one fell swoop.

Before Hotter could say anything else, Ivan continued:

“I need to make a trip to Moon Pincer Peninsula.”

“What for?”

“To seek soone out and gather information.”

“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go and be back quickly, before President Hardy returns.”

“Hotter, it truly won’t work this ti. It involves another’s secrets.”

When President Hardy spoke of the Crimson Empire’s fall in the Fairy World, Ivan imdiately thought of the trapped Goddess Mavis Margaret, who was born of the Fairy World.

Mavis might know sothing or be able to provide sothing vital for his advancent to arcane wizard, and she would likely be willing to help.

Still, Mavis was a divine being from an alien realm, her status no different from that of the black-bearded lord. It was better not to let Hotter know, to avoid putting him in a difficult position.

“I’ll take you to Moon Pincer Peninsula, then find a place to wait—that should be fine, right?” Hotter, seeing his concern, generously offered.

“It’s a deal,” Ivan didn’t want to be overly sentintal.

After the group returned to Rapid Wood Tower, Janie imdiately offered in private to seek out Lady Lilabet, the Dark Night Mother Goddess, for information.

Ivan did not decline.

Everything was for the sake of becoming an arcane wizard.
