Chapter 456: Chapter 455: Fake or Real
As a Level 3 Sorcerer, Hotter’s prestige was naturally greater than that of any Level 3 Sorcerer, and the accommodations arranged by Sky Flow Valley should have been more spacious and exquisite.
However, the accommodations in Sky Flow Valley itself were not plentiful, and recently there had been a housing shortage, so in the end, Hotter was arranged to have a five-story sorcerer tower.
“Ah! We ca a step too late.” Arriving in front of the sorcerer tower, Morris heard faint voices from inside and regretted slapping his own thigh.
“No, really, you wanted to compete for this first place? You’re really quite boring.” Ivan looked at him speechlessly, was it necessary to be so exaggerated?
“Of course, I am Hotter’s most loyal subordinate,” Morris stated earnestly.
“It’s soone you know well inside, losing to her, I think you wouldn’t mind,” Ivan said, truly unable to watch him any longer.
...
“Tanaya?”
Morris reacted.
Before Ivan could respond, a familiar voice rang in their ears.
“You two, what are you whispering about in front of my sorcerer tower? If you’re going to enter, co in quickly. Don’t stand there looking all sneaky and suspicious.”
“Greetings, Master Hotter.”
The two exchanged glances and hurriedly stepped inside the current sorcerer tower, arriving in the parlor inside. Tanaya was indeed there, along with Mara who often followed her.
Ivan and Morris stepped forward to greet them.
Hotter kept sizing up the two, thinking to himself how these two, who were poles apart and unrelated, seed so familiar with each other. Shouldn’t they be unable to stand each other?
“Cough cough, you’ve arrived, no need for formalities.” He only waved his hand after a while.
“Hehe! Boss, as soon as I heard you arrived at Sky Flow Valley, I imdiately went to find Ivan and brought him here. I wanted to be the first to arrive, but— but— Miss Tanaya got here first. I hope we didn’t interrupt anything?”
Seeing the situation, Morris revealed his true manner, becoming more casual in his speech.
During the conversation, he cast a suspicious gaze toward soone to his side, the flas of gossip in his heart burning vigorously.
“Stop talking about useless things,” Hotter glared at him, signaling the newly arrived two to sit anywhere, then curiously asked, “Ivan, you just arrived at Botta Blood Plain not long ago, right? How did you manage to ta this haughty fellow?”
“Boss, what are you talking about, what do you an by ‘ta’ and ‘haughty’? I’m always humble,” Morris said, slightly displeased, rushing to respond.
“You be quiet, let Ivan speak,” Hotter said.
“I possess Pure White Eyes, and he, taking inspiration from that, constructed the Pure White Tower. We respected each other and got along very well upon eting, thus becoming friends,” Ivan said carefully, glancing at the two beside him.
“Indeed, we have quite a few things in common,” Morris agreed wholeheartedly.
Hearing their words, Hotter rolled his eyes in a very unimpressed manner, almost bluntly saying ‘I don’t believe a word you’re saying.’ This caused Tanaya, who was sitting on the other side, to giggle lodiously like a ringing bell.
Mara also watched with a smiling face.
Ivan saw everything and thought to himself that Speaker Hotter was indeed too casual; otherwise, these guys wouldn’t be so calm in front of a Level 3 Sorcerer.
Morris had said before that this speaker was independent and did whatever he wanted, not without reason.
“Even if it weren’t so, as the person who admires you the most, Mr. Hotter, whoever you deem talented, I would surely approach with a friendly attitude, and definitely not dislike Ivan,” Morris emphasized sowhat resentfully.
“Oh! Then tell , how did I co to appreciate Ivan, what makes you think so?” Hotter pondered a mont then asked.
“Boss, isn’t it obvious?” Morris straightened his sorcerer robe and said firmly.
“How is it obvious?” Hotter swept his gaze over everyone present, continuing to ask.
“Really want to say it? Then I’ll just say it.” Morris also glanced at the two beside him, his expression sowhat eager.
“Don’t beat around the bush, just say it,” Hotter urged.
“Hehehe, don’t think I don’t know.”
Upon hearing this, Morris grew more excited. He put on a knowing look, surveyed the area, and only continued after catching Hotter’s glare, “Ivan is also one of the key mbers of our Five-Colored Magic Robe. As an old mber of the Five-Colored Magic Robe, I should unite with new mbers.”
Five-Colored Magic Robe?
A giant question mark popped into Hotter’s mind. He noted Ivan’s expression, which showed no peculiarity, knowing Ivan was still reliable.
This only perplexed him more.
What’s this about joining a Five-Colored Magic Robe? By the looks of it, did I create it? How co I don’t know, could it be during one of those drunken–
“Now that we’re at this point, I must reveal our organization’s insignia and token, lest we be underestimated.”
Morris wasn’t done talking yet. He smugly glanced at Tanaya and then gestured to Ivan. In front of everyone, he took off his sorcerer robe on the outside, revealing the colorful, dazzling Wind Thunder Robe underneath.
Seeing this, Ivan silently stepped back a step or two.
He observed Hotter’s expression, which seed off, and probably felt rather awkward too; Morris was getting too carried away.
“Ivan, you—” Morris continued gesturing.
“Yes, we usually keep it low-key, preferring to wear the Wind Thunder Robe underneath.” Ivan quickly changed the subject while rolling up his sleeves to show he also wore it underneath.
Hotter looked stunned.
He suddenly rembered, during one instance when the alcohol was flowing, Morris seed to have ntioned sothing like this, and he rely humored him with half a response, not realizing this guy took it seriously.
So, it’s true that I founded it while drinking? What nonsense.
“Giggles.” Tanaya found it exceptionally amusing and couldn’t hold back her laughter again.
“Sorceress Tanaya, what are you laughing at? What’s so funny? Please be a bit serious, or you might as well visit Master Hotter later. Right now, it’s our Five-Colored Magic Robe’s private gathering.”
Seeing such rudeness, Morris spoke up to remind her.
It was just Tanaya laughing, with anyone else, he wouldn’t have been so patient.
“Giggles, you guys actually wear two sorcerer robes at once, giggles.” Tanaya still couldn’t contain her laughter.
“What, is there a problem? There’s no rule in the sorcerer world that says a sorcerer can only wear one sorcerer robe at a ti and not two or three,” Morris asserted confidently.
“Giggles, yeah, you’re right.” Tanaya nodded, then shook her head, “But I still can’t leave.”
“You’re being too rude, I—”
Morris was getting annoyed.
He stepped forward to argue further but saw her pull out a box. The box popped open, displaying a multi-colored sorcerer robe.
This was precisely the boss’ exclusive creation— the Wind Thunder Robe.
“It turns out, I am also a mber of the Five-Colored Magic Robe.”
Tanaya elegantly put it on herself, and by so trick, the Wind Thunder Robe imdiately slipped underneath her original sorcerer robe.
It wasn’t hard to tell that the sorcerer robe she was wearing was of exceptional quality, most likely surpassing the Wind Thunder Robe.
“Sorcerer Hotter, you acknowledge as a formal mber, right?” she asked Hotter.
“Ah yes, Tanaya is also a mber of the Five-Colored Magic Robe. Everybody here is a mber of the Five-Colored Magic Robe. Hahaha, I was actually planning to find an opportunity to introduce you all to each other, but it looks like that won’t be necessary, all thanks to Morris, hahaha.”
At that mont, Hotter’s face was priceless.
Actually, Ivan sensed so issues, but since even the chairman acknowledged it, he was content to feign ignorance. The world is full of illusions and realities— who can truly say what is clear?
