Chapter 441: Chapter 440: Entering the Sky River

Ti flew by, and the group had waited for nearly three months in Sky Flow Valley before finally reaching the optimal ti to explore the Great Sky River. Ivan and his companions were already poised to act.

“You’re not going?”

“The risks involved in treasure hunting are not small, and it’s all voluntary. Why should I put myself through that trouble?”

The day before departure, Morris specifically ca to the second floor of the Round Tower to ask if he needed any help, only then did Ivan realize that this fellow had no intention of entering the Great Sky River.

“While that may be true—never mind, it’s probably for the best,” Ivan said, his tone shifting as if he had thought of sothing else.

“No, why do you always speak halfway? You’ll lose friends that way,” Morris persisted, pressing on.

...

“What I an is, entering the Great Sky River is not just for treasure hunting, but also to experience different spatial changes and anomalies, which can enhance one’s understanding of space.

However, proficiency in spatial abilities is not related to our progress in strength, nor does it affect the promotion to Arcane Wizard. Indeed, there is no need to overly pursue it.”

In the eyes of professionals, the Great Sky River was like a stage for a myriad of space energy phenona. That was what Ivan ant, but for lower to interdiate sorcerers, spatial techniques were not essential.

“You can’t say that. Anyway, make sure no one from the School of Space hears you say this or you won’t know how much criticism it might bring.”

“Do I look that foolish to you?”

“Do you need a secret map of the Sky River? No guarantees it’ll be useful.”

“Hand it over, just for reference.”

Seeing that he required no other assistance, Morris followed his usual routine of touring the laboratory. He observed the newly cast miniature Energy Gathering Tower and the small Energy Gathering Tower that was about seventy to eighty percent complete before leaving the second floor of the Round Tower.

The next day, a large number of sorcerers gathered at the external exit of Sky Flow Valley, with mbers of the School of Space being the majority.

Everyone had made full preparations, so carrying various magical artifacts, others with colorful pets at their side, so ready to act alone, and so in groups for the venture.

At that mont, no one said much.

“Hoo-hoo—”

In everyone’s view, a thick defensive mbrane slowly unfolded, allowing the winds of the void to blow in, adding an air of solemn wilderness to the field.

The Great Sky River was never a peaceful place; even during this rare opportunity that occurred once every fifty years, it was rely a temporary shift from a forbidden land to a dangerous one, with plenty of risks still present.

As the winds of the void blew in, the pure white tower nearby imdiately reacted, with black lines appearing on the mirror-like surface of the tower and producing a faint sound.

This suggested that the spatial fabric was in disorder, yet still within a tolerable range.

Many sorcerers noticed this scene and showed knowing smiles; it was a good on.

“The passage to the Great Sky River is now open, everyone, I wish you Witch Dao Fortune and a safe and bountiful return.”

“Haha, I’ll lead the way.”

After the first sorcerer fought against the wind to ascend, more people started to take action. All manner of dazzling techniques were displayed as they flew toward the unpredictable Great Sky River.

“Swamp ants, let’s go,” Ivan signaled to the few people around him, ordering them to set off.

“The wind is strong, hold on tight, Sorcerer Ivan,” Swamp Ant commanded after receiving his order, striving forward with the crowd and quickly overtook many nearby sorcerers with a swift start.

Soon, Swamp Ant flew out of Sky Flow Valley, and its figure disappeared into the Great Sky River.

In nature, wind is usually invisible and colorless, but that’s not the case for a sorcerer’s perception. Sorcerers could distinctly sense the shape and color of the wind, no different from seeing it with their own eyes.

But so winds were utterly devoid of shape or color, like the wind they now faced, which was always so peculiar and elusive.

This wind was crafted from space energy transformations and was known as ‘the wind of the void’ by sorcerers.

Inside the Great Sky River, in addition to the wind of the void, there was also the fog of the void, equally invisible and colorless. At a glance, one would see only emptiness, with their vision blurred and obscured, and sound was strongly distorted.

It was precisely because of things like the wind of the void and the fog of the void that living beings so easily lost their way in the Great Sky River.

“Sorcerer Ivan, which way should we go?”

“Let’s go this way.”

Upon hearing the swamp ant’s query, Ivan casually pointed in one direction.

Although everyone had set off together, with similar directions and speeds, and with nothing much to cover their surroundings, a short while after entering the Great Sky River, only a few figures could be seen, which compelled one to marvel at the Great Sky River’s magic.

“Alright.”

Without any doubts, the swamp ant imdiately turned and flew upward in the direction Ivan had indicated.

Seconds later, there were no other shades around them.

“Don’t go up any higher, fly straight ahead.”

After a pause, Ivan gave another command.

The swamp ant changed its course and flew steadfastly forward. What secretly amazed it was that there were no obstructions along the way; could it be that it’s luck was turning?

Thinking of the word “fortune,” it suddenly realized that it was, after all, carrying a person with a great destiny.

It once heard Sorcerer Ivan say that such power of protection includes Witch Dao Fortune, and when enough of that fortune has been accumulated, things often go smooth and satisfactory.

And Sorcerer Ivan had already gathered quite a bit of Witch Dao Fortune.

In fact, Ivan thought the sa.

At this mont, the direction he had pointed at was just a casual choice because the Great Sky River was changing in the blink of an eye, and the maps recorded in previous years were mostly incorrect.

With an expanse of the unknown before them, which direction to choose didn’t make much difference; what they would encounter was all up to luck.

Not encountering anything ant there was no danger, which could also be considered a form of luck.

“That’s how it is,” he muttered quietly with an enigmatic tone.

“What?” the swamp ant couldn’t help but ask.

“The Golden Bloodline truly is a pure Star Realm lineage; in this kind of place it’s like a fish in water.” Since entering here, Ivan noticed that sothing inside him had beco more active, with certainty that it was the “Golden Bloodline” passed down from the Justice Star Ancestor.

The Great Sky River was rumored to be related to the River of Star Realm, and this seed quite reasonable now.

Of course, what he was muttering wasn’t about this, but he could vaguely sense that advancing to Knight King in this place seed favorable, and so he felt a mont of admiration.

While talking, he casually stepped out, instantly appearing about five or six hundred ters away, standing in the void.

“Instantaneity?” The swamp ant’s eyes widened, and it hurriedly flew over to carry him on its back, worried that if it moved any slower, it might risk becoming unemployed.

“Spatial acceleration, and the enhancent from the Golden Bloodline’s resonance.” Ivan was unaware of its small concerns; he’d simply discovered other aspects of the Golden Bloodline and was rely elated about the potential advantages.

As for the swamp ant’s fear of unemploynt, having soone willing to carry him saved both effort and worry and served as protection—sothing Ivan would not think of giving up.

“I want to learn so spatial techniques in the future,” mumbled the swamp ant.

“That’s the spirit. I’ll teach you when we have the ti once we get back,” Ivan imdiately approved upon hearing this.

Hearing this response, the swamp ant’s pace noticeably slowed for a mont before it continued to fly forward casually, flying and flying without bringing up that topic again.

Inside the Great Sky River, they did not know to what place they had flown.

Suddenly, the swamp ant’s flight beca sowhat uncontrollable as if so force was pulling it, causing it to start ascending at an angle.

“This isn’t good, what’s this?”

“Don’t panic, just go with the flow.”

Ivan sat cross-legged on the back of the swamp ant, pressing tightly against it, and while comforting it with his words, he carefully observed the newly erged situation.
